Library windows when opening and closing documents
When I open a document, a "Sample Buttons and Forms," library window opens, covering up menus, even though I do not have libraries set to display. Likewise, when I close the document, a different (in this case, locally created, window appears). Always the same windows. See screenshots. It's annoying to have to close these windows every time.

Strange characters appear when pasting any text from anywhere
I have InDesign CC2019 - Whenever I paste from any program (Word, Outlook, Notepad) into InDesign there is an odd boxed character with an X anywhere there was a line ending in the original. There are no soft returns or hard returns or anything in the originals it just word wrapped in a spot - and InDesign inserts a character which I cannot search for or replace.

Preview bug, always scrambled
Preview is always messed up. Images attached, text is often spliced like this until I zoom in and out. Sometimes overprint preview helps but it's happening frequently and I can't see what my work looks like...

Jumbled Text
I'm having an issue with catalogs I'm working with. When I open the most recent version of an INDD file, there is jumbled text in the headings and subheadings, even though the PDF exported fine when the file was last opened. Advice?

In Adobe In Design CC 14.0.1 x64
We use a previous file to keep the formatting of a merged mailing list. I used to be that when you copied the file to a new directory it could no longer find the old data file and gave you a warning. It also would not show you a preview because it could not find the data.Unfortunately, the new version seems to have held the old data so we printed the old merged file by mistake. Color Theme Tool not working after upgrade to InDesign CC 14.0
Hi, this may not actually be a bug and perhaps more of a settings issue - but after upgrading to 14.0 the Color Theme "eyedropper" tool does not seem to be working. The tool selects/highlights properly, palette displays correctly - but the theme elements do not copy over. Any help appreciated as we create / update fairly complex and text-heavy docs on a daily basis.

Click "convert" to open this document..... doesn't do anything!!
The error message then tells you "You are not currently signed in to the
CC (which I already am). Please go to Help- > Sign In and enter your Adobe ID. Restart InDesign, then try opening the document again."Performing this action does nothing, the error never goes away, you just go in circles.
1 voteIt looks like InDesign is not recognizing that you are already signed in.
Please try signing out from InDesign once. Quit and relaunch InDesign. Also you could try signing out from Creative Cloud App and sign back in to see if the issue goes away.Adobe InDesign team

GREP "Any Double Quotation Marks" wildcard not working as expected
Version: CC (14.0.1.209)
While using InDesign's Find/Change GREP feature:
The following GREP query wont find the matching string even if it exists in the document: (Any White Space) followed by (Any Double Quotation Marks) followed by (Any Uppercase Letter)
\s"[A-Z]
This should find any white space followed by any double quotation mark followed by any uppercase letter, however it shows no match.
The following GREP searches will work, but when combined they do not work:
\s" will find the white space and the double quotation mark
"[A-Z] will find the double quotation mark and any uppercase letter

installed font missing
InDesign 13.0.1 on macOS 10.12.6
One installed font from a family of 6 suddenly started showing as not found. Frutiger LT Pro 67 Bold Condensed was correctly showing, now not.
I have re-installed InDesign twice, reinstalled the font, and rebooted several times. Font is correctly showing still in Illustrator and Photoshop.
This is impacting client files and while I have a workaround, I am concerned the problem will occur with other fonts where I don't have a viable solution. (I have another foundry version of that particular font.)

Kontur aussen ausrichten
Kontur aussen ausrichten stimmt nicht. Kontur soll ausserhalb des Bildrahmens sein, ist es aber nicht. ist momentan wie Kontur innen ausrichten, nur dass es den Bildrahmen automatisch vergrössert. ich möchte jedoch den Bildrahmen am Dokumentenrahmen andocken und dass die Kontur dementsprechend ausserhalb des Dokumentes ist.

Problem with Picture Moving / InDesign 2019/14.01
With Indesign 14.01 have problems when I move a picture.
Is there distortion up to 30 sec.
Document has 120 page. Picture setting is "Normal" preview

ADOBE INDESIGN AND ILLUSTRATOR COMPATABILITY ISSUE
In Adobe indesign, if we decreased Horizontal scale in Indesign and saving that template and generate PDF. If we open the same generated PDF in Adobe illustrator font size is decreasing and vertical scale is increasing and horizontal scale showing 100%. I think It's totally mis-matching with indesign and illustrator. Not only this we're facing many issues like this i.e resizing issue for example if label size is "50Wx100H" in indesign, same file showing in illustrator is 50Wx120H and some times more. Please help to fix this issue. It'll be helpful

cannot save again if file is moved whilst file is open - 2019 Indesign CC
I moved my working folder to another drive as quickly needed space. I accidentally didn't close my file in InDesign before doing this... kept working on the file then went to save it to new location... But it won't let me.
Says file is missing from original location... put it back (which I tried but didn't work) So I had to export as idml to save it... Never encountered this in previous releases please fix.1 vote -
Can't Open JPEG file
Hi there
I am having trouble opening up .jpeg files from Indesign. It is installed as a part of my Creative Cloud subscription. Please see attached for the error that pops up. Your help will be appreciated.

G2 votesJPEG files cannot be opened directly in InDesign. They can only be placed.
Create a new document and from the File menu, select the Place option. Select a JPEG file and click Open.Hope this helps.

Creative Cloud
I have Creative Cloud installed, but can't use it from within InDesign- the panel window says I don't have it installed. This is a bug. I voted when somebody else reported it, but it isn't fixed.

If Paragraph Format uses Shade, only the first line is underlined (instead of all) (Layer Problem!)
Its not a suggestion, its a bug.
Under Indesign 13.1, when e.g. a whole page is styled to have a gray shade behind it, and some paragraphs have to be undelined, then ALWAYS the Line before a hard return does not show the underline, because I suppose a layer problem occurs. Indesign seems to see the text on top, then applies the shade and under that the underlining for the text, which won't be shown then. The descenders are shown normally, since they are on top in the text layer. I have not found a way to tell the underline…5 votesHi,
