1. InDesign 2019 is not finding missing fonts - preflight does not find it and "Find Font" either, but discovered it with Flattening a PDF

   InDesign 2019 on MacBook Pro 10.14.3 - "Find Missing Font" is not working. It said all was good. Even the Preflight (with Font Missing checked) said all was error free. But when I exported the file to a pdf and ran the flattening feature, it found the 2 missing fonts--both were TTFs. So I went back to Font Book to add those fonts. All was fine then, but why didn't InDesign tell me there were missing fonts?

   It looks like you may be trying to open files that are shown on the Start screen but are unable to do so.

   Please check that the file(s) actually exist at the same location as when they were previously opened/created. If they have been deleted/moved/renamed, etc., the Start screen will continue to show their thumbnails but you won’t be able to open them.

   Let us know if this is not the case.

3. eyedropper not working correctly

   That's version 14.0.1.209

   When I create a NEW document — there is no problem, the eyedropper working correctly.
   BUT...
   When I work in a document that was previously in an earlier version (for example, CC 2018), then this problem is present.

   If I CREATE a new text box in a document that has been re-saved from an earlier version (IC 2018), then the eyedropper will not work correctly.

   If I CREATE a new text box in a NEW document (CCP 2019), and then transfer it to an old document, then the eyedropper in the new box will not work.

   If I CREATE a text box in a new document (CC 2019) and copy a text box with text from an old document (CC 2018) into a new document, and then take a sample with a eyedropper - the eyedropper working correctly.
   But if I copy this text box with the text back into the old version (CC 2018), then the eyedropper does not work again.

   P.S. Sorry for any translation errors.

   Eyedropper again started working correctly after deleting Master Page. A transparent box was covering the text (see Comments).

4. SWF export showing blank page

   I have tried to export a 673 pages Indesign file into a SWF file, unfortunately after exporting its showing a blank page. nothing working like the interactivity, page curl etc. Also I need to export it into a Interactive PDF how to do that.. Please help.

5. Anchored Textframes with Auto adjusting height within a Textfreame

   1. CC 2018 – 13.1 (Can't update to CC 2019 right now because of Plugins)
   3. Create a big "master" Text frame
   4. Create 2 more text frames that auto adjust in height and fill them with lorem ipsum or any text.
   5. Paste those two text frames into the first created "master" Text frame
   6. Change the Text in the first Text frame (Add some empty lines or remove text) and see InDesign fail to update.
   7. Expected result: Should be pretty obvious... InDesign should not fail to update the current view.
   8. Actual Result: All Textframes are misaligned because InDesign does not update correctly – If you dare to move the "master" text frame now it gets even stranger. - The only way to update it to the correct look is to force InDesign to update the text frame by changing something like space after in the "master" text frame. (See video and Screenshot attached)

Usecase: for Example DatabasePublishing inline publication - where every here shown "Textframe" would be a product within a Page – But it is impossible to work like this! – I could be wrong but i have a feeling that this is happening since the disapearing Tablehead bug got fixed (unconfirmed...) i don't have the option to test it in an older or newer version - but we never had this issue before.

6. Importing Microsoft Word files doc. and .docx

   Creative Cloud and Office 364 is up-to-date (although this issue happened before the upgrade so it has something to do with the import filter for .docx files into InDesign [this is the first occasion]).

   While importing a .docx file, revisions from the word file appeared in the layout text. I noticed as I started to typeset. Scary.

   Checked the Word file, upon Select All, references in the text were highlighted in a darker gray. There was no extra text appearing and revisions were all approved and accepted.

   Word file was saved as a .dotx file and imported, the mysteriously embedded text appeared the layout.

   When the file was saved as .doc and reimported into InDesign the text disappeared?

   Imported the word .docx file into Quark and no mysterious text either.

   This was the first occasion, but it is has made me quite wary. Please advise if this has occurred with any other users.

7. boxes in all control panels can not be activaded

   In every control panel (no matter where) text or values in the boxes can not be activated. To enter new values or text, I have to delete each letter individually, forwards or backwards. This is very annoying.
   When will this bug finally be fixed?

8. Hyperlinks copy/pasted between files *appear* to break after source document is removed.

   Using CC2019 on a Mac running High Sierra

   Steps to reproduce:
   1) Create a document with a few hyperlinks in it.
   2) Whilst this document is open, open a 2nd document, and copy/paste the links from one document to the other.
   3) Save both and close.
   4) Trash source document

   Expected result: hyper links should work in Target document as expected.

   Actual result: hyperlinks all appear broken in document. Whilst an exported PDF appears to still work, ID reports all those links as broken.

   Other details:
   If you retrieve the source document from the trash, it the links in the target document suddenly start working again, meaning your not actually pasting the hyperlink, but theres some sort of link that exists between the source and target document.

   Saving target file as a new file, saving as idml, has no effect – those links are still tied to the source document.

   This in an absolute tragedy if you are working on large documents with lots of links, and needs fixing ASAP

11. Errors in grep-processing in 2019

    Some days ago was message about error in usage grep-queries and patch to fix it.

12. GREP: Repetition (*, +) at the end of a Positive Lookbehind group doesn't seem to work

    Product: Adobe InDesign CC 2019 (14.01)

    Steps to reproduce:
    - Create a document with the text "abcde"
    - (Case 1) Do a GREP search for "(?<=bc+)d"
    - (Case 1) Do a GREP search for "(?<=bc*)d"

    Expected result: highlight the "d"

    Actual result: Cannot find match.

    Note that searching for "(?<=bc)d" does work, as do of course "(?<b)c*d" and "(?=b)c+d".

    Note also that this applied to GREP Styles in a paragraph style.

    (?<=[bc*])d
    OR
    (?<=[bc+])d
    work for you?

14. Font Issues

    InDesign 2019 doesn't recognize Raleway and Ultra Stint fonts when opening documents created in InDesign 2018. Fonts are loaded and active under the Creative Cloud, system has been started/restarted.

16. Keyboard commands do not respond in document until text field is selected

    Indesign 14.0.2 x64
    Windows 10

    After opening any document, the keyboard does not work. Print, open, and quick key selections for tool will not register until I select the ​type tool with the mouse, and click on a text field so that the cursor appears.

    I then have to click on the selection black arrow tool for any keys to start working. I use mainly quick key shortcuts and commands all day, so this occurs every new document opened.

    Could you please try clearing up(or renaming) your preferences and cache for InDesign 2019(14.0).

17. CC19 14.0.1 ISSUES

    Running Indesign CC2019 14.0.1 on a MACBOOK PRO running Mojave - currently having a number of unexpected outcomes - spacebar unable to use to navigate page - SHIFT unable to proportion constrain and ALT unable to drag copy items.

18. PageMaker import doesn't work.

    InDesign is supposed to import PageMaker 6.5 documents. Adobe gives instructions for it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/converting-quarkxpress-pagemaker-documents.html#convert_pagemaker_documents

    This doesn't work. Not only are p65 files not recognized as loadable by default, but attempting to load them forcibly results in an error message from InDesign.

19. Basic Shortcuts Gone

    InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator all lost shortcuts such as spacebar hand, zoom, unable to scale boxes in InDesign or constrain placed images, Photoshop you can't constrain a scale with shift. All same in Illustrator. Just noticed these yesterday and assumed it was Mojave, which I installed Saturday. I updated Adobe upgrades but that didn't help.

20. When attempting to 'crop' the INDD window size from bottom rt-corner, the the document's image

    When attempting to taper the (Mac) INDD window's size from bottom rt-corner, the document layout ALWAYS "runs away" from the user (to the upper left direction)… making it impossible to get the doc's layout centred within the window, first time. This is UNLIKE any other Mac application… and is a source of constant frustration!
