1. (InDesign)Problem with metadata after conversion v15 to v20

   After converting some old .indd files to v20 from v15 I see that custom metadata is completely wrong. I’d assume that during conversion InDesign finds old metadata packets and set incorrect values
   Here is the cimpress:Id value we have before conversion which is correct(pic1)

   But after conversion to v20(v19 works correct) I got something like this(pic2):
   To convert the file you need to simply open BEFORE_CONVERSION.indd in v20 Indesign

   Expected result is cimpress:Id have same value as pic1.png
   Actual result is pic2.png
   Is it possible to fix conversion process somehow, because it breaks a lot of flows and makes migration to the new InDesign versions impossible?

   Problem Description
   When using the OR operator with anchors in InDesign GREP, the anchors are interpreted with incorrect precedence, causing the pattern to behave differently than expected. This issue has been confirmed as a bug by Peter Kahrel, author of "GREP in InDesign."

3. InCopy: Notes in text shifting randomly when exported as PDF.

   InCopy version 18 and 19.

   To recreate the issue : add a note to any point of a text paragraph in InCopy and export the document as PDF. This results in the note (yellow sticky note) shifting randomly within the PDF document.

   What should happen is that the yellow sticky note should be in the area of where the note was initially anchored in InCopy, after you export it as PDF.

4. Footnote: Problems with Small caps when using World-Ready Paragraph Composer

   ID 23 and 24: When the Footnote Text Paragraph Style has World-Ready Paragraph Composer enabled, then there is a problem with formatting in the first line of the footnote: Starting from Footnote 10, the problem appears. When Small Caps is applied (via open type font) then the style is applied to 1 letter before the styled text range and 1 letter at the end of the text is not styled as should be. So the staling is shifted for 1 letter regarding the applied style. When the footnote number is 3 digits, then the styling is shifted by 2 letters.

5. All of the sudden font doesn't appear

   v17.2 InDesign
   MAC OS Big Sur 11.6.5
   Opening documents to make changes and fonts are missing. They are activated in Suitcase 22.0.4 and appear in Illustrator when I open a document.
   Have redone preferences, caches in both InDesign and Suitcase. Tried placing the fonts in the InDesign fonts folder and the Adobe fonts folder.
   Have restarted several times.
   Uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled.
   Not sure what to do! Please help!!

6. »Create outlines« of text on a circle path is making weird things

   v 17.0.1
   Intel Mac
   Big Sur

   If you have a longer text written on a circle path and try to »Create Outlines« it fails at one area: The text gets smaller and is kind of turned around.

   This only happens with longer text: Short text seems to work ok.

7. [ID-4239165]InDesign fails to open or place files with long paths in Windows

   InDesign fails to open or place files with long paths in Windows. The "Long Paths Enabled" registry setting is enabled (i.e. it is set to 1). The problem affects several functions:

   1. From Bridge, Place > In Indesign causes "Script Alert: Error: Expected a reference to an existing File/Folder"

   2. DataMerge in InDesign: images with long paths are skipped, i.e. aren't merged. There is no error message.

   3. From InDesign. I cannot manually place a file with a long path through the “Place” dialog box. The dialog box will display the folder and thumbnails, but when I click the image to place it, I get the following error: “The file could not be opened. You may not have permission or the file may be in use by another application.”

   All of these symptoms suggests that InDesign does not support Long Paths in Windows.

   InDesign 2021 16.2.1 x64
   Windows 10 Home 64-bit

8. Indesign 16.2.1

   Indesign 16.2.1 half screen cut red. when adjust windows side by side and then return back, screen cut in half and turn red. After restart it happens again. Whats that? Thanks

10. Self-closes or crashes when computer sleeps

    InDesign 15.1.1
    Windows 10
    After putting computer to "Sleep", InDesign is closed upon wakening the computer. Sometimes says "crashed" (10% of the time). Other Adobe applications are still open where left off.

11. workspace problems in Indd 2020

    I am working on two major projects and have created my custom workspace that gives me the panels needed for these projects. After saving the changes made for the day and closing InDesign, upon opening Indd for the next session, the work space has been set to Essentials, even though the files that require my s=custom workspace are open. I go to the workspace menu and change the work space to my working workspace and it does change, but the menu still says Essentials.

12. Fonts say they are activating but never activate

    Indesign 14.0.1 : When you click to activate a font it changes icon to "activating" but it never actually activates. this is happening across all 60 plus computers at my organistaion.

13. Adobe Fonts wont load

    Hello,

    While creating a document I was trying to discover a new font. I clicked Fonts > Find More and where a list of adobe fonts usually pops up, I got nothing. I tried creating a new text box, signing in and out of adobe, and closing / opening the document.

    Attached please find a screen grab of the issue.

    I'd love an assist if possible.

14. Links panel

    When you highlight a link in the document, it used to highlight the corresponding image in the links panel, so you could easily edit or replace, instead of having to scroll through the links panel trying to identify the asset from the thumbnail. A minor workflow thing but it makes a difference. Would love to have this feature back in.

15. Text wraps when replacing a swatch

    If I replace a swatch the text wraps at one place. It happens just with one color in the document... I doesn't matter which swatch I use for replacing... I never seen this before. I image how risky that is when you're replacing a swatch in a large project like a catalog and than somewhere in the document text is wraping...

16. preferences update

    Preferences, templates, custom sizes, actions should be carried forward as standard. Having to reset everything every update is excruciating and a large waste of unnecessary time.

17. Cannot use to gray or white when using Presentation view

    Gray or white background not available when using Presentation view in 2017 CC InDesign. I've tried using multiple combinations of "W" and control, option, command, etc. to no avail.

18. Problem with *.wmf files in InDesign 16.3

    I've got a file with many equations created in MathType, exported as *.wmf files and placed in Adobe In Design. Until today everything was fine. But after a new update to version 16.3 all my equations were destroyed. In the attachment I'm sending the same page exported to PDF before and after update. Please help me.

19. line break within Hebrew word

    InDesign frequently breaks lines of Hebrew text in the middle of words. The work around is to add a Zero Length Joiner, but that can be a tedious process, especially when InDesign keeps that word together but breaks the line in the middle of a different word.
