Problem with *.wmf files in InDesign 16.3
I've got a file with many equations created in MathType, exported as *.wmf files and placed in Adobe In Design. Until today everything was fine. But after a new update to version 16.3 all my equations were destroyed. In the attachment I'm sending the same page exported to PDF before and after update. Please help me.
The issue has been fixed in InDesign 16.4.
Please update your copy of InDesign to this latest version to get the fix.

V16.4 installed today appears to have fixed the problem for me. Thanks!

We have experienced this same missing equation issue when we place a Word file with Mathtype equations into InDesign 16.3.
We have rolled back to InDesign 15.1.3 where the equations display correctly. Is there is a fix for this issue in InDesign 16.3 yet?
Thank you,

Seems that this issue also affects placed EPS files from MathType.

Dear Mr. Kiran,
We are experiencing the same problem. I work together with seven other colleagues in the publications department of a scientific research centre that regularly publishes scientific reference works (containing numerous formulas). Since we have strict deadlines and a lot of documents are affected by this problem, we hope that Adobe is looking for a more permanent user-friendly solution, instead of the temporary bug fix to revert to older ID versions. Saving the formulas in other file formats (.eps, .jpg, .tif, .ai, etc.), is not an option as the print quality is insufficient. Can you keep us posted on your progress and let us when we can expect a solution? -

I have same problem after last InDesign update. I have finished book with hundreds of equations and i am unable to export PDF for printing. HEEEELP! All Mathtype equations use system fonts (Times New Roman & Symbol) and they are EPS files linked in InDesign. If i open that equation file in MathType or Illustrator everything is OK. I can send whatever files you want.

Hi Ravi,

I can confirm the issue.
Tested with Joseph's wmf file in InDesign 2021 16.3.0.24 where I can see the bug and InDesign 2020 where all is working ok. If you need a sample wmf file see this post by Jospeh Isherwood:https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/corrupted-fonts-since-16-3-update/m-p/12179054#M437267

I have a similar issue with linked .wmf files. All the text has been corrupted as shown. This a major issue for me as it involves hundreds of linked images across numerous documents. attached is a screen shot from indesign workspace window
