Access setting defaults
Share for review is a game changer! Thank you! But every time the compiling and uploading is done I need to change the access type from access setting it has to re-compile and upload. This is such a shame.

Multilanguage Bullets in English Version for languages that do not have a native In Design Application
Please make an option for the bullets that are alphabetic to be able to change them in another language. I.E. a,b,c,d, to be able to change into let's say Greek α,β,γ,δ.

Improved spot colour assignment
You've introduced 'useful' cloud sharing features and project integration over the last few versions but would it be possible to make assigning spot colours or custom colours easier across InDesign, illustrator and Photoshop? I waste so much time switching back and forth across apps, trying to set up the correct colour information ready for print. It's still so convoluted and always feels like I'm fudging my artwork. I end up resorting to changing all spot elements to 100% Black and creating a separate page. That's not intuitive or helpful, that's just winging it.

Allow analytics to track the number of times a viewer downloaded the document.
PublishOnline has been great and very informative. It would help me even more to know how many times a viewer has been interested enough in a document to download a copy. (Even better if I knew how many times they chose to print the document.)

Allow option for Stock ID in links panel
I would like an easy way to get a list of Stock IDs from my links panel. The stock file names are very impractical to deal with, and often I need to links of the stock images Im using to clients.

Option to select all text over multiple components in InCopy
It is impossible to select all text in an article that exists over multiple components.
Now you can only copy text from one component at the time.
Would be helpful, for example, if you need to quickly copy the article to be pasted in an email so it can be send to somebody to review.1 vote -

Make "split column" widths flexible
I use split-and-span columns frequently in my work. Often, with lists of names, I'll have that one name in a column that is just too long and wants to wrap. If I could adjust the column width after using the split-columns, that would be very helpful. As it is, I either have to decrease the type size or increase the right side margin, which messes with the body text width. I don't want to create a separate text frame as this is too common an occurrence in my work, and I'd have to be dragging and anchoring all over the place. This request may be impractical in terms of backroom coding of InDesign, but if it isn't, maybe someone can try?

Handling hundreds of links per page
When an index or end reference pages (normally jumps to pages) have hundreds of links then opening and closing the link dialogue box is a bit of a slowdown. There should be a live toolbar/dialogue box that can update live as you select each link (an overlay box normally used). This way you could drop boxes on top of each page number/chapter, then quickly hop from one to the next and change each one.

Link font size value between paragraph style
Add the feature to set the font size (and other value) as percentage, based on a "root" style. For example: create a "root" paragraph style with the size font set to 10 pt. Create a new paragraph style "first" based on "root" style and set the font size value to 110%. (=11pt). If the the font size of "root" style change, automatically change the font dimensioni in "first" style proportionally. Like the in the CSS language.

Apply color to linked vector file
Add the feature to apply the color to linked vector file directly in InDesign (as at present you can apply the color to bitmap or grayscale raster file).

Scoping of publish online feature
As an admin in a sensible industry, we want to provide our communication/marketing area the possiblity to PublishOnline with Indesign, but NOT to the rest of the users
As of today, and confirmed by Adobe support, this cannot be achieved, we cannot scope nor tweak or limit this feature to a specific set of users

Update links in the background
Links should be updated in the background. It is always annoying when you have to wait for an image to load (possibly off a server) and you have to wait for it. Maybe the frame to update should just be locked until updated but not the whole document.

Make Display Performance High Quality by Default.
I have been using Indesign for about 10 years. I thought in the past when you set display peformance to high quality, then closed and re-opened indesign, the setting would stick.
Now, on the latest version, I have to set it to high quality each time I open a document, which is stupid considering probably 95% of user's computers can handle high quality mode these days. This is so much more basic than dealing with proxies in Premiere which is not on by default... It really should be set to high by default. It's really annoying to have to go set this every time I open a document.
Why doesn't the setting stick when the program is closed and re-opened?

It would be great if there were a way to group pages with the same header, or automatically have a header include all page numbers between the page the header appears and the next header appears.
For example, the publication I'm building has a few top-level categories, like Pens, Pencils, Pastels, etc… and then sub-categories of name brands within those main category sections, like Bic, Sharpie, Prisma, etc…
Given that I'm already using the "alphabetical order" feature to make the ToC sort of like an Index as well, I'd like to be able to automatically include the pages in the whole section (in this case "5-50") instead of having to go in after the fact to make the change.
It would be great if there were a way to group pages with the same header, or automatically have a header include all page numbers between the page the header appears and the next header appears.
