1. Adjust pagenumbers if sheets are hidden

   It's a great feature to be able to hide sheets. But, if we do so, the automatic pagenumbers should adjust to the shown pages, not counting the hidden pages as well.

2. The 'character direction' function for Arabic text layout

   The 'character direction' function does not exist in the new version of Indesgin (2024). As a result, I cannot layout an Arabic text correctly. How can I do this?

3. Indesign Online Dashboard improvements - Custom URL, Google analytics, Fname direct to send clients

   Indesign is hands down the best software to design & create digital brochures with its advanced technology & features its impeccable. HOWEVER talking about the Online Dashboard System its not leading the industry.

   I've done my research and a lot of the online digital brochure creator websites are ahead.

   I will list below a few new ideas/features I'd love to see Adobe implement to put them back in the lead when it comes to the publishing feature.
   (Some of these ideas are already being done by the online companies)

   <> Custom URL, so it looks more professional to clients rather than it saying "Ind.Adobe" with loads of numbers following it.

   <> While on the subject of the URL, it would be fantastic if we could customise the cover photo/thumbnail rather than it showing the adobe logo, I'd like to show my brands logo. It would be a great feature for when we send the link in WhatsApp

   <> Better and more analytics rather than just the 3-4 basic ones. The more the better it really helps to understand as much as possible. (gender/location/where they found the link/social media and so much more)

   <> To go one better a collaboration to implement Google Analytics

   <> Name tags - (I don't actually know what this is called) I'm sure you've all seen it when setting up emails in mailchimp for example 'Fname', then it automatically inserts the clients name.
   It would be fantastic if this feature could be inserted inside the brochure, so the client feels like the brochure itself is personal to them.
   Then instead of the traditional 'Publish Online' button, it has a send to box and when you enter each clients name & email it automatically fills the name and sends the Custom URL link to that specific client.

   I think finally I'm done.

   I have so many ideas so anyone that works at Adobe if you're struggling for new features you can give me a call🤣

   Thank you and I hope other Indesign fans will see these features as benefits, I look forward to seeing them on the platform soon.

6. Find/Change Apply to Anchored Text Boxes

   Find/change should be able to include any text boxes anchored in the search of a text box/story/selection. I use anchored text box objects in tables a lot, and on occasion, it would be helpful to be able to make a change to all the text with a certain paragraph style in a story, but not in the whole document. But with anchored objects, find/change won't see any text in anchored objects if you select the text box with the anchors, and you can't select multiple anchored objects at the same time. This makes it impossible/useless to find/change multiple text items in anchored objects at one time.

7. Why not add File Suffixes functionality for all export types? (PDF etc...)

8. New “Hide Spread/Show Spread” feature: automatic page number adjustment

   I was excited to discover the new 'Hide Spread/Show Spread' feature in InDesign. Page numbers on visible spreads don’t adjust automatically when other spreads are hidden in the document. Thus the feature becomes useless for any document that uses page numbers – at least within my workflow.

9. Add space before when first on page

   When there is a Title which is set to be first on page, in some cases it is needed to have some space before. For example, chapter title. It is easier to set that through Paragraph Style than to set as a box feature. That feature existed in Xerox Ventura Publisher more than 30 years ago, and exists in Affinity Publisher. It is one smole checkbox in Indent and Spacing, but a big help for us who are in book layout business.

11. Allow pop-up panels such as paragraph styles editor to be resized

    When the operating system font size and/or software UI scale is increased it causes the bottom of the panel to be too long and clipped off under the Windows taskbar. Most of the panel is just empty grey space so can be scaled down without losing any of the contents.

12. Password protect "publish online" documents.

    Password protecting "publish online" EPUB documents would be extremely valuable for my work. A lot of my files contain sensitve information that need to remain with the business.

15. Samsung Monitor Not Detecting HDMI fixes

    If your samsung monitor not detecting hdmi then you should know about some fixes read below:

    1. Try a different HDMI port. If your monitor has multiple HDMI ports, then you should try connecting the HDMI cable to a different port.
    2. Restart the monitor and the source device you should always update your monitor firmware to the latest version.

16. Custom Font Menu

    Please ad the ability to customize a font menu. In order, with colour across all software and the ability for it to over-ride current files with that same custom menu.
    The favourites is just not as powerful at custom order and colour coding for each kind of font style.

    could Indesign suggest different H&J options for the selected paragraph so the designer could choose the best suited, among available options?

    Artificial Intelligence offers 3 options to choose in Photoshop.

    PLEASE add an alert on a PDF export if pages are hidden. For many projects, we cannot risk have pages hidden in the final PDF (i.e., proposals).
