Allow users to add footnotes in table text!!!
Please allow users to add footnotes in table text, I can't believe that this is not poosible. I am formatting a lengthy document for a client and some of the footnotes need to be in table text and they cannot be added without disrupting the flow of footnotes. This is such a basic thing that you should be able to do! Please add it!

Need to convert PDF back into InDesign and Not lose any detail.
So I lost the original file to my InDesign program. There needs to be a back up and easier way to convert a PDF back into InDesign without losing any detail. Like you never lost the file to begin with.
My portfolio and work is on there and would like to add new work in my portfolio.

EPUB Interactivity Window resize
This window is defaulted to very small and cannot be resized, making it impossible to test small buttons.

In Indesign interactive PDF buttons set link destination options for opening the url
like blank page, self etc...just like in html is possible.
So when you view a interactive PDF online and you click on a link the destination opens in a new window or tab, just like you selected in Indesign. And not only in the window you are viewing.

Number & nombre
Hey Guys, you should'nt translate NUMBER by NUMÉRO in French for exemple NUMBER of column in menu Pages → Margins and Columns ) but by NOMBRE. NOMBRE is the right word in this case.

Missing Link, Copy Path in Link Info - Path:

I would like to draw the Chapter Title in a text variable from the File Info rather than trying to use the First on page/last on Page and setting a Paragraph style. It would be much faster, easier and more reliable to let us grab a field from File Info. I can get the Chapter File to update but then it won't appear in the TOC and the work arounds show that the software simply does not want to work the way one would expect. Add Custom Commands with Custom Shortcuts to Keyboard Shortcuts Menu
There are certain actions that I'd like to create shortcuts for, but the commands for them aren't listed in the Keyboard Shortcut Menus. For example, setting a keyboard shortcut for the various aligning objects. Aligning text is an option, though. Not what I need.
Everyone's workflow is different. There are commands that I'll just never use. So, freeing up individuals with the ability to create custom commands, which can be suited to their unique workflow would immensely help individual/company productivity. Custom workspaces exist, custom keyboard shortcut sets exist, let's have custom commands too!

Please bring back Mini Bridge
Mini Bridge was an awesome feature that I, as a graphic designer, miss greatly. It made laying out books that were hundreds of pages long with tons of pictures so much easier!! Please bring it back!

Possibility of defining several alternative Font Styles in one Character Style.
E.g. Character Style: Italic
Font Style: Regular Italic OR RegularItalic OR Italic OR ItalicRegular OR Italic RegularCurrently working with two families of fonts, one of which has italic defined as Italic and the other as Regular Italic, this is impossible. You have to define two character styles and search the whole text.

Copy Artboard Size across CC apps
I do this a lot: I have a diecut in Illustrator and need to create the layout in InDesign. I have a little OCD (like most DTP/Artworkers :)) ) so I create the diecut in Illustrator and then fit the artboard size to the whole art. When I start creating the layout in InDesign, I create the document using the same page size as the Illustrator file. And I do this several times a day. :)
It would be great to have an option/button in Artboard Tool (Illustrator) / Page Tool (InDesign) to copy the size and be able to…

Allow Images/PSD's to be set to overprint using attributes panel
Allow images/psd's to be set to overprint within indesign like text and fill options in the attributes panel, this will allow for complex printing requirements to be done more easily. for example if you need to overprint and image onto a white ink base that has been set to a spot colour so the printer can print white onto clear vinyl then print a CMYK image on top without the white ink base knocking out.

Copying Links to folder fails
Oftentimes, when I try to copy links to a folder, it fails. No explanation as to why. It's happened dozens of times. Occasionally, it works. Usually not, though.
I am running InDesign 13.1 on Mac OS 10.13.6

Indesign work files have huge file size
I am used to work with older versions of indesign, and sometimes quark. The file sizes I am used to is around 300 Mb at most. On the newer indesign I get file sizes up to almost 3 GB! All the images I use combined in the document is not even a quart of that size, and I do not embed any images. This takes up a lot of space and makes it hard to work in a network environment.
