Add full fullscreen/splitscreen support for Mac OSX
OSX has a fullscreen/splitscreen mode, integrated into their Spaces (desktop view dedicated to one app only) support in almost any app.
Acrobat (!) already added this fullscreen support.
The classical design workflow would be greatly improved if InDesign (and most other CC apps) would support this native OSX feature.Especially corrections, copying text, comparing artwork and final lay-out, switching apps, would go much faster, with less switching of views, apps, moving windows around etc…
On a MacBook, this would make all Adobe apps much more useful. I (and many others) do not want to pay for a second monitor, only…

Syncing Workspaces and Preferences
This use to be here but doesnt seem to be around anymore. When I would access Indesign on another computer using the same account info, my workspace and preferences would always carry over. In the last year or so, this doesnt happen anymore and I cant figure out why. I cant find an answer online about it either so my guess is that it was removed. Can you bring this back? Thanks!

Enable easy batching of GREP Find/Change queries & expandable 'entry window'
Hi there,
Rather than rely on third-party software (or convoluted scripts), there should be an option to batch GREP queries together in the Find/Change menu.
Also, it would be nice (for more extensive/complicated GREPs) to be able to expand the window in general (pertaining to both Find/Change's GREP tab and the equivalent menu for GREP styles elsewhere) when entering the expressions.
As an addendum to that last point, at the very least InDesign should have a built in (expandable) panel for copying and pasting complicated GREP syntax without having to worry about certain syntax items disappearing if copied and pasted…

Object Styles (Size and Position)
When creating an Object Style and using Size and Position, the X and Y Offsets must be 0 or greater. This means you cannot create an Object Style that allows for bleed. I want to enter -.125 for the X and / or Y Offset to allow for bleeds.
P.S. The temp workaround is changing the Reference point, but if you change the Height or Width, you also have to adjust the X and Y.

Recent File Pane Improvement: Open Multiple files at once
The Recent Files Dialog needs a way to select and open multiple files at once — whether it be the ability to drag a selection shape (useful for selecting a few files that are physically close to each other) or shift-clicking to select multiple files (as you would in the Finder) or ticking small checkboxes in the bottom-right of each thumbnail.
In the latter two cases, if multiple files are selected, the "Open" button could then be used to open the select files, as opposed to launching the open file dialog.

Searchable keyboard shortcuts (as per Illustrator)
Could we get a searchable keyboard shortcuts interface like Illustrator's? It's really handy for rapidly changing keyboard shortcut settings.

Save All and Close All
Add a 'Save All' and 'Close All' to the File menu. Photoshop and other Adobe software have had this since the '90s, so why doesn't InDesign? It's inefficient to click on dozens of documents one at a time in order to save them and/or save and close them. Please emulate Photoshop as the ideal example.

Recognize GPU Performance on more systems
I have a 2013 MacPro with dual d500 GPU's and an Eizo CG277 Monitor...which is the pinnacle of graphic design monitors. I can't enable GPU performance?! Retina monitors do not have near the color accuracy of Eizos.
My Eizo connects via thunderbolt 2 and USB...both at the same time. The bandwidth is definitely sufficient.
It is ridiculous.... I have more than enough power, let me utilize it. Your requirements are not valid for professionals. Please expand your list of GPU Performance systems beyond "Retina Monitors"

Update the new New Document dialog box
- Add the ability to removed saved and recent presets easily—individually and collectively
- Add a preview checkbox (so new users can see the page they are building as in the legacy New Document dialog box)
- Update the way you save a new preset—right now there is a box to type in a new name, but when you click on the Save icon you have to type the name in again.

Find/Change: Leave the "Search" area the same
When I'm doing a find/change in a "Auswahl" (in english maybe "selection"? – screenshot A), the "Search" area is always changing thereafter automatically to "Textabschnitt" (text section? - screenshot B).
It would be great if there would be no change.26 votes -
Add "Page" to the "Search in:" options, for both Find/Change and Spell Check
In Find/Change and Spell Check dialogs, we have ability to search within a [Story] [To end of story] [Selection] or [Document]. I would like to see [Current Page] added that options list. Even better would be the ability to specify a [Page Range XX-XX]
[Story] is too specific when we have a bunch of separate text boxes to search through. And [Document] is often way too broad for large documents, and it also searches master pages that we may not wish to search. [Current Page] or [Page Range] would be a really nice middle-ground for both regular Find/Changes and Spell…

Remove Adobe Stock search field from the menu bar
I don't use Adobe stock, and have no plans to. I see that under View > Extras > there is an option to hide "stock purchase badge." And in Preferences, there is a way to Disable Publish online. I would like a way to hide the Search Adobe Stock field from the Control bar. No matter how small the window gets, it is still there, even iff all the other (useful) options don't fit. Please allow us a way to hide it.

Re-design the Paragraph Rules section of the Paragraph Styles dialogue. See attached. The mockup is not refined, but it looks like it will work.

touch bar support
I've been using the touch bar of my MacBook Pro for a lot of things, including Photoshop. As I am mainly using Indesign in my everyday work, it would be great to have touch bar support, for instance for applying paragraph styles to texts.

Preferences > Units & Increments should be application, not document preferences
Under Preferences > Units & Increments, the Keyboard Increments preferences should be application wide, not document specific.
People share documents and templates and have their own way of working. They expect keyboard shortcuts to work consistently. It is unintuitive if in one file point size and leading change in two point increments and in another they change in one point increments. There is no reason for these preferences to be document specific rather than application specific.

Clear/erase "recent file" list.
Untill the new open/splah dialog, the recent file list wasn't a problem.
It was hidden into the File menù, and was almost impossible to see it.Now with the new open / splash screen everyone is able to watch the document you opened previously.
In some occasion this is not that nice, especially if you work for someone and some of them competitors...It could be useful to introduce an "erase recent document" at the end of the list in the File->Recent file menu.
As many other softwares has.23 votes -
InDesign book file (.INDB) total page count
If you're making a book using a book file (.INDB), the InDesign Book file panel should have a total page count. Sometimes the page count is not accurate, especially if you have frontmatter to a book that uses roman numerals and start with 1 later in the book. It would be nice if the absolute total number of pages showing somewhere on that panel. We publish books and have to stick to strict signature breaks for presses, so total page count is very important information to us, and it'd be nice to quickly get that information instead of having to…

Full Screen and Split View do not work
Version of Adobe InDesign: 13.1
Steps to reproduce the issues: Click the green 'maximize' button to put the application into Fullscreen mode
Expected result: Application should enter standard MacOS fullscreen mode like other modern Mac apps do, compatible with switching Spaces and sharing screen with another app in Split View.
Actual result: Can not enter Full Screen, breaking multi-app workflow with Spaces or Split View.23 votesThanks for reporting the issue. We will review it shortly
