Abhinav AgarwalJThoeming supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment JThoeming commentedI posted this already, but I repeat it here, because the question above is included:
»
To get much more than »only« custom spaces - an extented idea:I think to make it nearly perfect, we need to implement another Group inside the ParagraphStyles - say »Exceptions« and built like the nested styles area, for example:
No intend ------- after ParagraphStyle --- Head
No intend ------- after ParagraphStyle --- Subline
(etc.)
.
(for List 1)
Space before --- after ParagraphStyle --- List 1 --- 2mm
Space before --- after ParagraphStyle --- List 2 --- 2mm
.
(and for List 2 etc.)
Space before --- after ParagraphStyle --- List 1 --- 1mmWith something like this we would be able to set many »exceptions« inside by using only one named ParagraphStyle ..

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

Product Manger – InDesignJThoeming supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment JThoeming commentedMostly asked is something like the »Macro Recorder« in Word and store it, for example, as javascript.
The good - you can make changes or additions etc. (if you know what to do) ... the bad - you can make changes or additions etc. (even if you dont know what to do) :0) ... but this is the same to all external scripts which can be edited.
For rudimentary processes »macro recording« is certainly sufficient for most people.

JThoeming supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment JThoeming commentedI use the App »Art View 2« - not only InDesign gets a Finder Preview, also Illustrator. Not the cheapest, but I am happy with it.

An error occurred while saving the comment JThoeming commented... and very important, too:
telling the footnote text where to go.Means for multi-column text, e.g. 2 columns:
The numbers 1 to 3 are placed in column 1, numbers 4 to 8 in column 2 - all (!) footnote text is placed in column 2 (from the bottom).Or even the same like above, but placing the footnote text only in column 1 (from the bottom)
etc.
I have so many jobs where the footnotes have to be manually placed because the described is not possible.
If the developers have access to »Advent 3B2« (I worked with about 10 years ago for a company: a layout program with text and graphics mixing environment; renamed to » Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher, APP«; http://gpsl.co/technology/ptc-arbortext/app/), they should take a look (or get the manual if possible) - very powerful in terms of footnotes and marginalia management etc. ... as a source of ideas determined very inspiring.

Hi,
unfortunately, this issue is still not resolved (v14.0.1 on Mojave) Color management sometimes reset to default (switching with v13.1 even now there)
Best regards,
Joerg
