An error occurred while saving the comment The problems that Raphael pointed out are not the only problems. They are just some of the problems.
Other problems we were exposed to:
Hebrew letters disappear after Drop Cap.
Punctuation marks disappear or appear in the wrong position in a PDF file (even when it is correct in InDesign)
Reverting to the previous engine using the script does not solve all problems.The desired solution is to stop using the failed World-ready engine, and enable Hebrew support for the regular Adobe Composer engine. It's not complicated, just give it the option to write from right to left and everything will be fine.

People in Israel printed books and magazines at cumulative costs of tens of thousands of dollars, maybe even hundreds of thousands, which went to the trash because of your bugs.
So what do you suggest? For the user to define a certain setting and then it will not appear to him.
And what will happen if the settings are reset without the user noticing? Will he once again send to print problematic PDF files that are missing punctuation marks or letters?
If you don't want to address the problem, at least set this option of lagacy type shaping as the default, and those who are suckers and want to use the new engine will do it themselves, why do we have to suffer because of this engine?An error occurred while saving the comment Inability to select vowel points (nikkud) or other diacritics: When trying to select vowel points or other diacritical marks, only the letter itself gets selected, making it difficult to properly adjust or move the nikkud and diacritics independently.

Many internal as well as external factors can cause the InDesign application to crash/freeze/hang. A few workarounds are listed at Fix crash issues with InDesign.
We completed the investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue has been resolved in the most recent release of InDesign (Refer to InDesign Release notes), the issue was intermittent at the time of reporting and is no longer reproducible, or the InDesign version mentioned in the report is no longer covered by Creative Cloud Support Policy.
We would recommend you upgrade to the latest version as it is more robust. If you are still facing this issue even after updating it, either submit the crash report(Refer to Submitting crash reports) to us or Contact Adobe support.
An error occurred while saving the comment When you close a document, the software freezes. It is not possible to exit, it is not possible to open a new document or click on any command in the menu. I downgraded to version 18.5 and it is fine.

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.5.0.084). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

- InDesign lags when rearranging text boxes, adding image frames, adjusting frames that already exist
- Selecting an item (e.g. text frame) in small and really uncomplicated documents has slight but very noticeable delays/lags, almost as if the click hangs and makes the item drag a little instead of just being selected.
- Performance degradation is observed if more than 1 document is opened
- Creating packages (File > Package) takes so much time – especially collecting image files into the Links-folder. This behavior is generally observed with Illustrator files.
- Performance degradation is observed while working on indd document and not with the IDML of the indd document.
- Lag observed for almost every action from selecting objects, resizing objects, or moving objects
Troubleshooting steps tried to resolve issues
- Disable 3rd party plugins - One of the customer has tried with Suitcase Fusion but there was no improvement in the performance.

InDesign version: v20 (both Mac & PC)
When the text is in Hebrew, a letter after drop cap is missing after export to PDF
Critical because it is not possible to see the problem before the export, sometimes you'll find it only after printing....
(We know the solution of changing the text shaping engine to legacy, but it is not the default, and we want it to be solved in the standard engine 'harfbuzz')
