It takes forever to update the link for review.
When I go the Share for Review menu and try to update the link, it starts to "think" and nothing else happens. It lasts for more than 10 minutes and I just give up. Indesign version 16.1

InDesign jpg Export
When I export a jpg from InDesign (16.1) (it doesn't matter if I export it in low or high resolution) the exported jpg shows some "glitches". This error occours only if I export pixel images. I can fix this when i copy the content from the InDesign file into a Photoshop file and eyport it from there… but this workaround is pretty annoying.

Multi-state objects not working correctly
I'm having problems with multi state object not working as they should.
Sometimes its fine others not.
I've attached a video of the problem. It happens when you use buttons to change the state. It works for a while and gradually deteriorates. The state can show then you roll off the button and it reverts. As if a r'roll-off' state is in play. Eventually the multi-state target disappears altogether.
Its happening in different documents and in Indesign 2020 and 2021.
Colleagues don't seem to have problem so could need to reinstall. But wondered if you could shed any light on it.
I've checked everything a hundred times. Nothing set up wrong.

table of contents very buggy
i think i know how to use indesign cc's table of contents feature, but it doesn't seem to work as advertised, or demonstrated in numerous videos. i cannot get the revisions to the toc paragraph styles to effect changes in the toc itself. despite the revised and selected paragraph style showing the new redefined settings, the toc only changes what is highlighted (not the rest of the elements in that style) and then reverts back to the original display on update. will be faster to just design it as a text block, which i don't think is the point. anyone?

What if I could double click the application title bar to minimize a window into the dock?
Dear Adobe,
Double-clicking a title bar to minimize a window is Mac behavior that goes back to the first release of OS10 in 2001. It is based on an even older behavior from OS9 where double clicking a title bar would "windowshade" the window like a roller blind rolling up into itself.Apple and Adobe train us all the time to adapt to new technologies and interfaces. Some behaviors we learn are easy to shake off and adapt to the new ones, especially if we haven't done them for very long. As a creative professional who has obviously done this for a long time, I've learned to be flexible. But this one, the reflex is so second-nature to me. Double click the title bar, the window should minimize to the dock. I still have this problem, Adobe, and I cuss a blue streak every time I double click the title bar in indesign and instead of minimizing, it mocks me and fills the screen!
Adobe please be consistent on these matters. Either return this functionality back to indesign and illustrator, or remove it from ALL the apps so users can move on.
Don't get me started on all the different ways each program resizes objects uniformly. Or zooms, for crying in a bucket. :)

Issues in rendering some Assamese conjuncts
The Assamese 'reph' and 'rakaar' are not properly rendered while using the Assamese font "Banikanta", a font released by Govt. of Assam in India. The font can be downloaded from http://www.publicationboardassam.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Banikanta.zip
The font works well in all the other tools and platforms including MS-Word, Libre office etc.
Being associated with the development of this font, I have seen that the issue is seen due to the problem of the improper rendering of Adobe InDesign. In this font we have skipped the mapping of Bengali "Ra" (U+09B0) to construct the 'reph' and 'rakaar" as it is not used in Assamese and instead used the Assamese "Ra"(U+09F0). But even when Assamese “Ra” is typed to form the “reph” or “rakaar”, Indesign converts it to Bengali ‘Ra” and since we have not mapped the Bengali “Ra” to “Reph” and “Rakaar”, it doesn’t not display in the desired form.
Moreover, there is another problem. When U+09AF BENGALI LETTER YA (antaḥstha za) occurs as the last member of a consonant cluster it has a special shape called ya-phalā. But in Assamese ya-phalā shape should occur only when U+09DF (Yya) occurs as the last member of a consonant cluster. The font has this provision, but Adobe InDesign fails to render it correctly. The problem can be reproduced in Adobe InDesign CS6 (Version 8.0)

find/change text missing search: selection
after making a selection, the Find/Change text dialog sometimes does not offer Selection in the Search dropdown. It will be present under GREP and Object, but not Text and Glyph. Closing/reopening Find/Change does not fix it. Restarting InDesign usually fixes it...until it goes missing again.

library panels display
the background color of the library panels in Indesign and Illustrator take on the same color of the interface (as from the latest version of indesign CC 16.1) As I have the dark interface selected, the icons and other assets are almost invisible. There is no way to change it, switching to the light interface is the only thing that helps.

Export PDF doesn't allow "Two-up (Cover Page)" view
Using InDesign v16.1:
Export PDF preset "High Quality Print" or "Press Quality" viewing option layout for "Two-up (Cover Page)" is grayed out and unavailable. Though if exporting using preset "Smallest File Size" all options available for the PDF layout.
For book or brochure PDFs, "Two-up (Cover Page)" is the standard, and it used to be available for all export options.———a bug??3 votes -

Undo reverts to last save
I'm using InDesign 2021 version 16.1, macOS version. Recently (maybe since the last update) it lost the regular undo ability. Instead of undoing by steps, it undoes all steps since the last save.
It is similar to the issue reported with InDesign 2020 (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/38991835-undo-not-working-properly-in-indesign-2020), but the bug persists in the current version even though it is reported as 'Fixed' in that thread.
This happens every time when using Undo (Command-Z). It reverts to the last saved state. In the case that a document has been saved multiple times, it appears each press of Undo goes back to the previous save. (So if you have saved a document 3 times, you have 3 undo states, even though there may be 15 or 40 or 100 changes.) This happens even with a blank, newly created document.
I am also experiencing lots of crashes (seemingly random, even when not interacting with the app), which is also new. But this thread is about the undo bug.
