Active adobe fonts are unstable.
16.0 x64 - I have been experiencing issues with Adobe fonts, where I can't edit them. For example, resizing to a larger font value or even adding more text. The font (or the entire text box) will completely disappear or it will switch to a default font even though the correct font is chosen. The only way to correct it is to close the document and restart. But it doesn't mean the font will be stable. I don't seem to have this issue with locally installed fonts.

Small interface and large cursors with duel monitors on Windows with Indesign 2021
I am using a 15' Dell laptop with 27' Asus monitor and whenever I move the InDesign window from my laptop to my larger monitor to work on, the interface stays small and pixelated. The cursor is overly large and I am unable to change the UI interface to fix this. The bug has disrupted my workflow and ability to utilize all of InDesign's feature effectively.

The character sequence -xx'-x crashes InDesign 2021 (v 16.0) on Mac
The sequence of letters -xx'-x crashes InDesign 2021 (v 16.0) as soon as you write this sequence yourself, copy or mark a letter from it (e.g. to change the text size) or do a search for this string, in a normal text field.
To reproduce the issue, simply write -xx'-x into a text field in InDesign 2021 or copy it into the text field. The X'x can be replaced here by other normal letters, upper and lower case doesn't seem to matter. The crash seems not to happen if the last X is a special character like ";" or "! Furthermore, there must be two or more letters before the '-x
The Font-Family also doesn´t play a role here. We tested it with different fonts.Since we have a lot of documents with this letter combination, we cannot edit them in Indesign 2021 anymore. On InDesign 2020 it worked without problems.
Tested with InDesign 2021 (German Version) on different Imacs and Macbooks with macOS Catalina 10.15.6 and Imac with Mojave macOS 10.14.

Copy paste not working
I was designing a book by copying the text from word and pasting in indesign it was working fine. But now when I am trying to paste it, it is not working. At first I thought it is the systems problem and I tried troubleshooting but still the problem persists. I am able to paste the copied text in other docs but it is not working in indesign. Please provide a solution as soon as possible.

save document
I have InDesign 16.0 with a Dell Windows 10 platform. When i use the file->save option InDesign randomnly chooses the folder from all of the document folders opened during the current session for the document to be saved in, rather than the existing folder where the document to be saved originated. Since on any given day, i might have opened 10 documents in 10 different folders, i have remember EVERY document worked on to hunt for my file. It used to be that if i used file->save InDesign would automatically target the source folder from which the document opened.

InDesign 2021 crashes when opening some panels
For example, I select some text and click to open the Hyperlinks panel. ID crashes straight away.
Or I select an anchored object, right click to select Anchored Object > Options. The panel comes up with 'Inline' selected and then I click on 'Above Line'. It crashes straight away.
I've had a similar problem working in tables, when I right click to delete a row, it crashes immediately.
I've had to go back to 2020 to be able to work on some of my documents.

Misplaced pin icons and shapes in Share for Review
Pins or shapes in Share for Review are always shown with misplaced icons or shape "borders". All browsers render it similarly. In Chrome, after reloading and clearing cache through DevTools, pin icons are changed to numbers and shapes disappear (in DevTools there is some error...). Btw, in Opera for Android, there are shown numbers by default. Using InDesign 15.1.1 for Windows, tried different files on laptot/desktop with the same results.
About a week before I used the function for the first time and everything was fine, but I'm not sure if InDesign had the latest update.

Font errors of Southeast Asian languages such as Myanmar (Burmese) Unicode
Font errors of Southeast Asian languages such as Myanmar (Burmese) Unicode
1. Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server : InDesign CC 2020 15.0.3 / 15.1.1 (Korean)
2. Steps to reproduce the issues : Text deformation, image mislocation, text warp errors occurred when Myanmar (Burmese) Unicode text is used in InDesign CC 2020 version. Some of these errors samely appear in Khmer, Lao and Thai as well. I've tried 'World-Ready Composer' function, 'setting-up the language', changing to language font', but none of them worked.
3. Expected result: It should been shown as '(Expected result) InDesign CC 2020_200731'.
4. Actual result : The text in red seems to be wrong in '(Actual result-ERROR) InDesign CC 2020_200731'.

Text rendering bug – the edited text is rendered over older version of the text
I work on a book. While editing the book, I face constant rendering issues: the updated text is rendered on top of the unaltered text. It happens irregularly many times a day. The problem is not document oriented nor platform specific. I started to make screenshots in March and the bug is still present.
It is very annoying. The only solution is to switch to Selection tool and the change select the Text tool. If you seriously edit a document and you face rendering bugs every five minutes, it is pain **********.-

InDesign performance issues: text tool
InDesign performance issues (version 15.1.1 x64 - 32GB RAM installed - Win 10 - Adobe Creative Cloud).
From the previous version the Text tool slows down the program considerably; it is not possible to work with at least two open files (I work with multiple open files, never a problem).
So the work is very slow !!! Please provide a solution. Thank you!4 votes -
Gradient scaling breaks/does not work when copying from Illustrator
OS: Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.5 (19F101)
InDesign: 15.1.1
Illustrator: 24.2.1I think InDesign has a bug. Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a shape in Illustrator (RGB OR CMYK) and insert a color gradient.
2. Copy it and paste in in InDesign Document
3. Scale it (bigger) in InDesign and it breaks the vector apart (the part with the gradient)

dropbox sync font file issue
InDesign 15.1.1 creating font sync issue with Dropbox where it repeatedly changes the AdobeFnt22.lst file again and again while Dropbox tries to sync the file folder. This causes the editing process to be exceptionally sluggish and unresponsive when attempting to edit files saved to Dropbox folders. This does not happen on files saved to local drive (e.g. desktop) only Dropbox folders, and only in the most recent update. Previously it has not been an issue.

Fonts won't visibly load, but preflight is green. Close the doc and reopen - fonts work again.
macOS Mojave 10.14.6
InDesign 15.1 & 15.1.1When a document is open, some of the fonts will not visibly load. However when you go to Type > Find/Replace it shows there are no font issues. Preflight is green and all fonts are listed as "OK". We then immediately close the document and reopen it everything looks fine. When the same document is opened hours later the problem repeats itself.
Notes:
• It appears that fonts loaded from the Document Folder ONLY are OK.
• Fonts that are loaded simultaneously in Font Book and the Document Fonts folder fail to display correctly.
• We do not use Adobe fonts.
• Fonts are typically either in Font Book, and/or they are in the Document Fonts folder for most of our jobs.
• One of the InDesign files experiencing this bug was created in 2019.
• Making a Press PDF while the fonts are bugged out creates a PDF that displays everything properly.
• If I try to print the InDesign file with this font bug, the document fails to print and gives me the following error: “Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem.”Things I've tried:
• Clearing font caches in macOS
• Clearing the macOS Library Caches
• Deleting the AdobeFnt.lst file in the Documents fonts folder
• Moving Document fonts folder elsewhere, open the file, then move doc fonts back.
• Repackaging the job
• Turning off the Adobe Fonts service located in the Creative Cloud app
• Leaving the document open for over an hour to see if fonts would load on its own.Bug replication:
In some instances, moving the Document Fonts folder to the desktop, opening the file, close it and moving the Document Fonts folder back to its original location would trigger this bug. But it doesn’t work all the time. The steps below are more consistent with replicating the bug.
- Delete the AdobeFont22.lst from the Document Fonts folder.
- Open the document - fonts are broken (even though they are also loaded in the system). Preflight is green.
- Close document.
- Open the document again and the fonts load properly.
We did not encounter this bug until 15.1.

export to PDF from latest InDesign 2020 results in pixelated PNG or JPG images
Upgrading from 15.0 to 15.1 versions of InDesign CC breaks PDF exporting of PNG or JPG images. Images now appear pixelated and low res no matter how high the original resolution of the image is, even when exported at 300 dpi (Print Quality settings). PNG and JPG images are flat with no transparency.
