Crash when smart reflowing a document with many anchored text boxes
Indesign is freezing/crashing when smart text reflow is used to reflow the document. Other documents are fine. This document is unique in that it contains many anchored text boxes and decimal tabs.
I am using InDesign 15.0.2
All I must do to crash InDesign is 1) open the document, 2) place my cursor between two of the inline anchored text boxes, 3) add a paragraph return (creating overset text which should be reflowed automatically).
See attached screenshot of one-page document.

Workspace
Initially after using the newest InDesign update for 2020, I tried using my old workspaces. But I found I could have only one document open and working at a time. I would have to open one document, work on it, save, and quit. Then I could open another and do the same thing. Obviously this is not productive, especially when you might need to copy something from one document to another. So, I have been using new and different of the stock workspaces to get me through in the hopes this will be fixed. Thanks.

[v15.0.1 up to v15.0.3.406] Link in Hyperlink Panel green, but incorrect
Another bug that has unfortunately crept in and is just noticeable: in the hyperlink panel, links are shown as okay (green!!), but they contain control characters (e.g. conditional line break <- I don't know if this is the correct English name, see in Text as control character like this: | ).
The control character is (of course) exported and the link does not work in Acrobat. The link does not work in InDesign either, but if the light shows green, the function is useless.

ID 15.0.2 can't find kashida
I'm using ID CC20 (v15.0.2) with Arabic support. When I search for a manually placed kashida in a string of text, I get a "Cannot find match" error. I've made sure all specific attributes are turned off in the search window (see attached). This happens whether I type a kashida in the search field or copy-paste it from text in the layout.

composer breaks urls when line breaks
Using InDesign 15.0.2 on Mac Catalina, URLs break if divided by composer over two lines when exported to PDF. My workaround is to add a linefeed before the URL (and hope it is shorter than one line). Some I can replace with bit.ly links, but these also fail if the display text breaks over two lines.

PDF comments made in Acrobat are not matched in my InDesign
Hi !
Since a couple of weeks comments PDF made by my client are not matched in my indd files.
I have the latest version of inDesign and my client's Acrobat is up to date to.
We are use to work on long files about 400 pages… pages can have different sizes. We didn't change anything in our workflow… I don't understand why it doesn't work anymore. About only 10% of comments matches… the other ones are (?)…
Thank you for helping and fixing this bug.

story editor cursor block cursor disappears
InDesign 15.0.2 on OS X 10.14.6 on a MacBook Pro with an external display.
Go into Preferences and set the story editor cursor to "block," the fattest size.
Put the cursor toward the righthand side of a longer line, and use the arrow keys to navigate the cursor up and down.
The cursor should stay visible at the end of the line, as the default cursor does.
Instead, when the cursor is at the end of the line, it disappears, making editing and navigation by arrow keys difficult.

cc2017/18 cannot install on macOS Catalina
Please enable a version of InDesign CC2017 that can be installed on macOS Catalina. It causes problems for large book files when they have to be converted to newer versions of InDesign. It often takes a long time from start to finish for a book project. When a file is created in one version of InDesign, it should be kept in that same version until it is completed, to avoid unintended errors and discrepancies creeping in. I have many files that originated in CC2017, which I now cannot open on a new machine operating with macOS Catalina.

Print thumbnails to postscript — file unusable
When I print thumbnails [or a booklet] to a postscript file, InDesign 15.0.2 creates the file, but it cannot be read in either Preview or Acrobat.
You need to allow for a useable PS/PDF export for sharing thumbnails or booklets with colleagues who do not use InDesign.
1 voteHi,
Have you started to face problems only after updating to 15.0.2 version of InDesign?
Can you share a sample file and a video showing the steps you use for printing at amaarora@adobe.com?Thanks

Crash when scaling text beound 1296 pt
I can repeatably make InDesign crash by:
1: Creating a big page (Mine is 250x100cm)
2: Making a textframe and writing a short word (I wrote "café")
3: Hit "E" and scale the frame by dragging the corners
4: If I scale the frame so the point size is higher than 1296 pt InDesign will crash.I am on InDesign 15.0.2 on MacOS 10.14.6
1 voteTo identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

Crash: "Keep Lines Together" (All) and disabled "Allow Split Footnotes" crashes InDesign if there are footnotes in a table
100% reproducible on InDesign 15.0.2 on Windows 10.
Sample document for easy reproduction: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iirawdsvd27l95l/indesign%20crash.indd?dl=1Starting point:
1. I have a table containing some footnotes.
2. Footnotes are not allowed to be split.
3. The table (including footnotes) doesn't fit in the frame, so the last row jumps to the next frame. To crash InDesign:
1. Place the text marker in the paragraph containing the table.
2. Go to Keep Options.
3. Check "Keep Lines Togheter" and "All Lines in Paragraph".Result: InDesign immediately hangs and you have to force quit.
Please fix? Should be easy to track down the internal cause with the sample document and reliable reproduction. :)
Ps: This was a bit time consuming to track down when my document spanned 100 pages and changes many pages away caused the table to move and crash InDesign. -.-

15.0.2 Margins & Columns Issue on Body Page 1 (Windows only)
Version: 15.0.2
Steps to reproduce the issues:
I was teaching 3 students on 15.0.2 (all on Windows) how to create a new document. We set up a 12-page file and specified 3 columns and changed the top margin in the New Document dialog box. With the preview checkbox on, body page 1 did not reflect the changes. We could see the bleed and slug lines appearing when defined. We could also see the A in the corner of the the body page 1 icon in the Pages panel, indicating that A-Master was assigned.Expected result
When you define a new document with Preview enabled, you should be able to see the margins and columns as defined on the first page, behind the dialog box before (and after) you click on OK.Actual result:
After clicking on OK, we discovered that the margins and columns were defined and visible on the A-Master and body pages 2-12. We had to manually re-apply the A-Master to Body page 1. This happened to all three students. It is working as expected on my Mac 10.15.3.

copy and paste removing spaces
I have ahad a problem recently when copying text from word documents to indesign where it randomly removes and adds spaces to the text body. This is extremly time consuming to resolve. i believe it is an internal bug in the new update.
