Crash: "Keep Lines Together" (All) and disabled "Allow Split Footnotes" crashes InDesign if there are footnotes in a table
100% reproducible on InDesign 15.0.2 on Windows 10.
Sample document for easy reproduction: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iirawdsvd27l95l/indesign%20crash.indd?dl=1Starting point:
1. I have a table containing some footnotes.
2. Footnotes are not allowed to be split.
3. The table (including footnotes) doesn't fit in the frame, so the last row jumps to the next frame. To crash InDesign:
1. Place the text marker in the paragraph containing the table.
2. Go to Keep Options.
3. Check "Keep Lines Togheter" and "All Lines in Paragraph".Result: InDesign immediately hangs and you have to force quit.
Please fix? Should be easy to track down the internal cause with the sample document and reliable reproduction. :)
Ps: This was a bit time consuming to track down when my document spanned 100 pages and changes many pages away caused the table to move and crash InDesign. -.-

15.0.2 Margins & Columns Issue on Body Page 1 (Windows only)
Version: 15.0.2
Steps to reproduce the issues:
I was teaching 3 students on 15.0.2 (all on Windows) how to create a new document. We set up a 12-page file and specified 3 columns and changed the top margin in the New Document dialog box. With the preview checkbox on, body page 1 did not reflect the changes. We could see the bleed and slug lines appearing when defined. We could also see the A in the corner of the the body page 1 icon in the Pages panel, indicating that A-Master was assigned.Expected result
When you define a new document with Preview enabled, you should be able to see the margins and columns as defined on the first page, behind the dialog box before (and after) you click on OK.Actual result:
After clicking on OK, we discovered that the margins and columns were defined and visible on the A-Master and body pages 2-12. We had to manually re-apply the A-Master to Body page 1. This happened to all three students. It is working as expected on my Mac 10.15.3.

copy and paste removing spaces
I have ahad a problem recently when copying text from word documents to indesign where it randomly removes and adds spaces to the text body. This is extremly time consuming to resolve. i believe it is an internal bug in the new update.

InDesign 14.0.3 document Missing/Invisible text and photos
I am using Indesign v. 14.0.3 on a mac with High Sierra 10.13.6.
I save my projects regularly the whole time I'm working, so it's not a saving issue. Everything was there when I saved and closed the project before this.
I've been working on a project layout for over two weeks now. Last night I was putting the final version together when it started slowing down, taking a long time to move an item, etc. I saved my project and closed Indesign. I reopened after a while hoping the glitch had time to resolve itself.
When I open the project now, whole pages are blank. However, everything still shows in the Layers panel as being on the page(s). When I select the item, either it shows me the bounding box but not the text, or it shows me the linked file box with nothing in it, or it shows that the selected item is located in the center seam of the spread with no way to select or move or recover it.
I really don't want to have to recreate a 32-page catalog on its due date. I have not had a single issue with Indesign on this project until this happened last night.
Just spent almost 3 hours on Chat with Adobe - multiple steps and hoops - and still no change, no resolution of the issue. The final step? Recreate the document. So, 75-100 hours of work - just recreate it. 24 hours before my deadline.
So frustrated.

Illogical interface to control the strokes of a table's cells
Hi there,
I find the interface to adjust the strokes of a table's cell utterly confusing and frustrating to use. For instance, I want to adjust the top horizontal border between two rows. If I click on the top bar in your interface (see diagram), select a weight and colour, InDesign changes the stroke of the cell's vertical bars?!
If I select the bottom bar in the diagram, it still changes the vertical bars.
If I attempt to guess the reasoning of how the interface works, I then chose to select the vertical bars in the interface, InDesign still changes the vertical bars. I can't win.
The way I would expect this to work, is that if I select a border's line on the interface, when I click OK, those selected borders will be the only borders affected. I, therefore, can't understand what the purpose of the little grid in the top of the interface is. No matter which border's line I click, InDesign goes off and does its own thing, making it impossible to stylise the borders between the cells other than by pure luck.
I also don't understand what the centre vertical line is for, to me, it has no purpose. I can't seem to find documentation that adequately explains how to use this interface.
Can the UI be adjusted as I have described so that it is predictable in its effect? I appreciate that I may be confused and it all makes sense to someone, but it is so counter-intuitive that I've given trying to use/understand it. Surely a different technique/UI could be employed? It is easier to draw a table in PowerPoint, take a screenshot and then pace that into the document, which is very disappointing.
Kind regards

New frame created when pasting text in InDesign
Pasting single or multiple words into a table creates a brand new frame which floats on top of the existing one. This bug affects text copied from another section of the InDesign document as well as many text elements (single words or sentences) copied from MSWord.

Outline font in circle
When a combination of superscript and normal sized font is used in a circle then fonts are outlined, the text jumps up to the positioning of the superscript within the circle instead of staying centred. This issue has not occurred before in previous versions of InDesign.

General font selection in bold!
I have a question. I work a lot with questions and answers.
I ask if it is possible to put all my 'questions' in bold without me selecting one at a time. Is it possible to make a general selection of all? (I tried using the CTRL + F method), but it doesn't work, there are different questions and different names.)
Thanks in advance! Hugs from Brazil ma' friends!

Incorrect text wrap with anchored objects
In Indesign 15.0.2 a bug has arisen in the text wrap of objects anchored in the text. The images show the difference between the old in the new version of Indesign. (OS X Catalina).
1 voteHi,
This is due to the bug fix of the issue: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180/suggestions/32251567
Text composition will now change whenever you open an older file with text wrap applied alongside text with bulletsThanks

moire
Our cover has a smooth gray area that looks fine in InDesign, but has a moire pattern in PDF exports — even the Press Quality pdf.
This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

InDesign 15.0.2 won't open
The new 15.0.2 version on a Mac will continue to bounce and not open. The splash screen doesn't show and the app will not respond. I have let the app try to open for an extended period of time, but after 10 minutes of just bouncing and not opening, the app has to be force quit.

permission issues
We just upgraded the with new iMac Pros and installed Adobe CS 2020 on all the computer over the weekend.
When they open up InDesign documents there is a major issue and it is consistent. When the first user opens a document from the server - they can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues When another user open the same document next they also can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues When the 3rd user opens the document it opens as a READ ONLY document and after that anyone who opens the document has the same issue. The problem is consistent and can be duplicated. We checked all the permission on the server and they are set right. The server is Mac OS Siera - the workstation are iMac Pro with Mojave
I even had Adobe Support connect and gave access to the computer and they could not figure it.

Need Permissioning for File Access and Edit for In Design File. WE should be allowed to set up security to prevent unauthorized access to
We should be able to create optional security in terms of file opening, file edit and file save/print fo all In Design Files. Permissions should be able to be modified from remote location, if for example a former employee with previous permissions copies file and takes proprietary template. This should be for desk top and remote server accessed files. Especially Server hosted files. I cannot believe this is not possible. Similar to PDF Files which are password protected. In Design files should have same security feature set as PDFs. This is critical and urgent.

Ai Transparency blends, placed into ID, exported to png w anti-alias on -> color mismatch
Ai 2019 files, when opacity is set on parent group item and child items, and laid over a white background -- when placed into ID 2019 and exported to png w anti-alia on, there is a significant color mismatch. Strangely, when exported to png w anti-alias turned off, the correct color results. The ID export to png anti-alias code must have a bug in it. The same for jpg export. PDF export is fine.
