InDesign no longer automatically returns to source folder
Noticing with the recent updates that InDesign no longer returns to the source folder when opening files and/or importing content. It throws me somewhere else... sometimes root user folder [of no use] sometimes a folder I used days ago, very unstable implementation.
InDesign has a temp file associated with it - you open an InDesign layout - it creates a file with a garbled filename - no other apps do this, just InDesign. Why does it not use this temp file to help it locate where it should point to?
I'd really rather eliminate the temp file altogether. Can it not be hidden in the user's temp folder, not the work folder? I often open back dockets and would rather the folder date not change for purposes of archiving/tracking.
Thanks.
