tutorial crashes when switching workspaces
Nearing the end of the tutorial, at the interactive part. When switching workspaces in InDesign, the tutorial film closes. If you switch back to "Essentials," it re-opens. Makes it difficult to work along with the tutorial for the "interactive features" section. Thanks.

IND 15.0.3 - Will not load text on first opening
Ever since last upgrade to 15.0.3, on the first opening of a file it will either not load the text, or load corrupted text. This is happening to two workers on two different MACs at two different locations within our team. Driving us crazy, having to close and open a file twice in order for it to open properly.

Selecting all and then deselecting some text in one go
I have been using InDesign since forever. Since the very first versions. But something has changed in the update to version 15.0.3.
When I select text, I often want to select an entire paragraph, except for the hidden character "paragraph return". I do that by holding Shift+Command+Arrow Down. That selects the entire paragraph including the hidden character. Then I would normally just let go of the command button and still hold Shift and then push the Arrow left button. That way I had selected the entire paragraph without the hidden character.
But in the latest update, 15.0.3 I now suddenly don't deselect the hidden character by pressing Shift+Arrow left. Now I add the hidden "Paragraph return" character from the previous paragraph to my selection. This is very upsetting to me and is something that complete kills the way I have been doing things for years and years. Please help me figure out how to fix this so I can keep doing like I have always been doing.I have been using InDesign since forever. Since the very first versions. Impossibility to download polices in Adobe InDesign 2020
I've try many times but I can't activate a police that's presented in a example document. I liked a lot the example but it's impossible to use it.

Allow free assignment of keyboard shortcuts to paragraph styles
Please, can we make it possible to assign any keyboard shortcuts of choice to paragraph styles? Not everyone has a numpad on their keyboard

performance issues
I've never been complaining about InDesign, but the last updated version sucks hard. I have issues with my tablet, the smart guides are not measuring right, I got issues with type tool imagining object that doesn't exist. There issues with the other apps as well, the last year with Adobe CC has been really driving me crazy, the quality of performance it's just getting worse!

Windows 15.0.3 broke Book TOC when exporting to EPUB; works in 15.0.2
Windows 10 15.0.3 broke Book TOC when exporting to EPUB; works in 15.0.2
Not only did 15.0.3 eliminate Book > Export to EPUB option of EPUB Version 2.0.1, it changed the Table of Contents to include duplicate entries linking to every PAGE within a chapter. The Book.epub file had a separate .xhtml file for every page in the book, rather than one .xhtml file per chapter and one TOC entry per chapter. This makes the Table of Contents useless.
Reverting InDesign back to 15.0.2 fixes the problem.
Here are the parameters I used to export the EPUB:

Kindle Previewer 3.39.0I have .indd and .epub files from both 15.0.3 and 15.0.2, but I'd rather not publish them to the world. I'd rather you contact me and I'll e-mail you a link to them.

unable to move TOC in ebook
I am unable to move the TOC from the back of the book even though I put the TOC in front of the book after copyright. When export the book the TOC is still in the back or front of the book and often first pages are moved to the back of the book. Sometimes the entire order of the book gets changed.

inserting page
I'm working on a document which is around 100 pages. so far i was able to insert pages or a spread to the document without any issue but since yesterday, if i'm tryint to insert a page, its getting inserted not in the line of the spread but away from it.
I'm not sure if the problem is understandable, so i am attaching a few screenshots.
Asked around to a few colleagues, but no one has faced such issue before.1 vote -
Hyperlinks lost after export to IDML
After exporting a rather large file to IDML most of the hyperlinks got lost. It's starts after ~page 110. After tha point only Hyperlinks in Footnotes or tables are preserved. Problem didn't occured in an older version of the project.

INDD 2020 distorted vector graphics when opening old files
When we open old indd files, the incorporated vector graphics are distorted (even if the wire view is correct).
Copy Paste make the deformation permanent.
Importing original illustrator graphics in the doc works.This is a very important issue as we often rework/update packs for our customers, and massive production could be trashed if the default is not seen immediately.
Trust in the tools is very important: we have no time/budget to recheck that everything is still perfect when changing a typo or ref somewhere else in the file.

macOS Spaces
InDesign does not seem to properly use macOS Spaces. Some windows or popups prevent InDesign from showing up properly if the application is selected, either in the Dock or in the Command-Tab switcher.

Creating Text Box Crashes InDesign
When trying to create a text box, the application immediately crashes. I've found that this only happens in the "Essentials" workspace. I am using a 2017 MacBook Air on MacOS Catalina and using InDesign version 15.0.2.

To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

InDesign ability to handle large files with many images / better rendering
Today in InDesign with large files (e.g. 320 pages, 400 images, many images 10MB JPEGs), presentation mode becomes bogged down with rendering the images and is unusable. Furthermore, using the page view large–jumbo sized views is very slow. On my 5k iMac, I can see that the CPU, the GPU, and the RAM are all available, so there is compute power to be had. Thus the feature request is to enable InDesign to use more HW and/or to have a way to store fully rendered images in a cache.

Page numbering logic
I don't get why the logic of page numbering is that complicaded in InDesign.
imagen you would like to show the number of the current and the previous page on the same page.
You can not simply put those varibles form Markers, saying Current Page Number an Next Page Number on the same page. – That would give you twice the Current Page Number.
Current Solution: You have to write them into two conected Text fields, which are supposed to be ob bouth pages, that you want to put a number on.here my idea:
Why wouldn't you make a varible that is named Previous Page Number and takes simple the Current Page - 1.
Next Page Number – Current Page + 1.For those who wants to make crazy things with showing a Page Number from anywhere in the dokument, you could make a new varible called Any Page Number and works the quite the same way Previous and Next Page is working right now.
So that would not make anything posible, that was not possible before, but it would make the use of pages marks easier and mor understandable beginners.
Thanks for considering and i would be glad to hear if there is a good reason to leave it as user unfriendly as it is. :-)

User Interface - Middle & Light Gray - Selections in Layers - Not Visible
The middle light gray Interface, third selection from left does not show the selections in the layers panel. it may change to a very close color. The lightest gray interface shows selections poorly., Not easily seen.

Alphabetical order is wrong
When building an Index, the alphabetical order imposed is not correct (I'm working in Spanish). Specifically, spaces should be counted before words ("A Song" should go before "Ableton", for example), at least in Spanish, whilst now it's doung the opposite, counting "A Song" like it was "Asong" and putting it after "Ableton".
Please make the modification, or allow the user to change the order manually, or access the language "alphabetical order" if that's possible. Thanks!
