   CC 2019 - MISSING FONT MESSAGE OPENING FILES

   InDesign files opened on pc's after upgrading to Windows ver1809 cannot load fonts - upon opening file, missing fonts error with option to substitute fonts. The same files will open correctly on Windows ver1803 pc's. These results can be duplicated on multiple pc's.

2. windows 10 - paste number from clipboard history into X/Y-object coordinates

   How to repeat the issue:

   1. Activate Clipboard history in windows settings (win 10)
   2. Copy a random number to your clipboard (my testnumber "-2,375")
   3. Create a new document and place a rectangle (or random object) on your page
   4. Select the object and click (focus) in the field for the y-coordinates
   5. hit "windows+V" to open your clipboard history (must be activated in the settings)
   6. Click on your previous copied number.

   6-Bug. The number has been pasted two times in the y-coordinates field.

   Test system:
   - Win 10 pro (1809)
   - current Indesign CC version (how to check the actual version?)

   By the way, if you try the clipboard history in a text field in inDesign, it works totally fine.

3. Type Tool Flicker

   Specs:

   InDesign CC2018 (13.1)

   Mac Pro Late 2013

   Mac OS Mojave (10.14.3)

   64 GB RAM

   AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB

   Any document when first opened will blink the document window (not the entire screen - just the document) when clicking into a frame with the Type tool.

   It occurs one time only then the remainder of work on that document is fine.

   Open another document, issue reoccurs.

   Double-clicking a text frame with the Selection tool will not blink and take you into the text frame without issue.

   I've reset ID Prefs, removed all third party plugins and zapped my PRAM just in case.

   InDesign does not have GPU turned on (unavailable due to incompatible monitor/chip)

   Tried on multiple Macs - including Macbook Pro and newest Mac Mini. Same results.

4. Menu Items Opens Webpage to Buy InDesign

   Indesign CC 2019
   Multiple clicks on menu items with the same results.
   When clicking on menu items the menu item should appear.
   When clicking on Type>Tabs, About InDesign opens a webpage (see attached) to buy Indesign. Each menu item goes to the same webpage. First time I have had this happen.

5. hyperlinks missing or corrupt when opening CC2017 documents into CC2019

   InDesign files opened from CC2017 (They were on our backup server from a job 3 years ago) using InDesign 14.0.2 x64 on Win10 64bit (CC2019) -
   They open fine without any issue except the hyperlinks - they are all broken/corrupt. When doubleclicking on one, it is effectively blank, as if I were making a new one.
   I tried saving as .idml and reloading, but it was still the same. How can I get these hyperlinks back to normal? Do I have to reinstall CC2017 again (is that even possible?).
   Any help greatly appreciated

   To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

   We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

   If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, start a new thread by adding all the relevant details.

6. Inaccessible URL Link in preflight panel

   Inaccessible URL link option in Preflight panel is not working after implementing Adobe CC version. It was working in CS5 but in all CC version still CC 2019 is not working.

   For Digital purpose we need this option. I attached screen shot for your reference

   In the attached screen shot there is one dead link it shows red color in Hyperlink window, but the indesign preflight panel shows No Error. If its working properly mean it need to be show error

7. Endnotes in text flow - Not on a separate page

   Import endnotes as plain text in the text flow. NOT on a separate page! How hard is this to understand? I groom text in one document and then copy and paste the magazine article/book chapter into another Indesign file. I can't do this if you put the endnotes in a separate text flow. It's really terrible! Dynamic notes has just been a complete failure!

8. No Font Spacing Between Words in InDesign 2019 14.0.x-2 on Mojave 10.14.x-4, Works fine in InDesign 2014 (v10.0.70) on Yosemite (10.10.5)

   So, we've had this issue on our new MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave v10.14.4 ever since last year in August when we were on High Sierra (what came with the Mac).

   Basically, InDesign is unusable with Gujarati Sangam MN on the 2019 version but on 2014 (v10.0.0.70) version on my old Mac (OS X Yosemite, v10.10.5) it works fine.

   What's causing this issue?

   We've tried the following:

   • Contacted Adobe & Apple support: Apple said to contact Adobe, Adobe was unhelpful, they suggested we look up if the font was installed it it is on the new Mac using Font book.

   • Updated Adobe InDesign 2019 to 14.0.2.

   • Arial seems to work, so maybe it's something to do with this font on new Macs or InDesign 2019?

   • Unrelated (because CC was showing trial expired from dropdown but a new account let us test the new update for 7 days, still same issue): https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/limited_access_repair_tool.html#

   Also noticed some images aren't rendering properly coming from Adobe InDesign 2014 to 2019.

   We simply cannot buy InDesign 2019/CC if this issue hasn't been fixed or can't be fixed.

   PS: Is there a way to move all the font options back to the top of the window like in InDesign 2014, rather than on the right?

   Adobe InDesign 2014 on old Mac Yosemite 10.10.5, renders fine (I made the file in this version and have been working with it ever since):

   As you can see the spacing between words is perfectly fine, very annoying how Adobe InDesign 2019 isn't accomodating for this out of the box.

   Any how, I'm thinking of just choosing a template from Adobe Stock templates to redesign this resume, since it's proving so problematic and is due to a refresh. This current resume I designed from scratch in Adobe 2014, but it doesn't seem that portable to 2019 version.

9. Placed Illustrator files do not show transparency correctly on GPU Preview

   When placing an .ai file with transparency, the file renders without any alpha channel at all in GPU Preview. Switch to CPU Preview, and the .ai files render correctly. Transparency should be shown in both modes, right?

10. Text blue highlights in Screen Mode "Normal" view

    Using iMac 2013 with High Sierra 10.13.6
    InDesign CS 2019 up-to-date 14.0.2

    In View drop-down menu, Screen Mode "Normal" selection, blue boxes appear over some text and behind some text boxes. It is intermittent, no real common denominator. It disappears when Screen Mode "Preview" is selected.

11. Accessibility Checker fails Radio buttons and checkboxes in Adobe Acrobat

    Accessibility Checker fails:
    Check boxes (Tagged form fields - Failed)
    Radio buttons (Tagged annotations - Failed)
    InDesign copy changes, Acrobat Reading order missing tags.

    Using MacOS High Sierra V 10.13.6.

    Previous files, InDesign 2018 Export Adobe PDF Interactive Passed the checker.
    Duplicate the pdf and rerun the checker and it passes.

    Same file open in newer version InDesign 2019 Export Adobe PDF Interactive fails. This tells me the problem is with Indesign 2019.

    This is happening with all my files. If I take a new Indesign file with no interactive functions and create them in InDesign 2019 everything passes.

    Indesign file attached with good pdfs and if you export the same Indesign file and run the accessibility checker it will fail in 2019 InDesign.

12. Master page image appear in wrong page in page layout 32(page number) indesign CC 2017.0

    2. Master page image appear wrongly in page 32. If we go to CO master page and change the position of the image on the master page, the image on 32 will get disappear. But if open same file CC 2017.1 we don't have that image.

13. InDesign crashes when editing text

    21.5" iMac with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6
    12 GB RAM
    360+ GB of hard disk space

    When attempting to copy text from a word document into 28 Mb file in InDesign, InDesign freezes... endless spinning color wheel. Problem is persistent - every time I try to copy a paragraph of text. It even occurred when I tried typing the paragraph of text.

    Tried updating InDesign CC
    Tried uninstalling and reinstalling
    Tried using Story Editor to edit text box.

    Apple crash report attached.

14. Некорректно работает пробная версия

    При запуске Indesign вылазит окошко с активацией пробной 7-дневной версии, после ее активации данное окно не пропадает и появляется на экране каждые 10 секунд. Что-либо редактировать в файле не получается. Помимо этого это окно с активацией еще и тормозит, какой смысл давать пользоваться демо-версией 7 дней, если она работает неправильно?

15. Updating to Mac OSX Mojave, Indesign now behaving slow and shortcut make new document does not work anymore

    Drawing a box, moving it around etc is now a kind of laggy. Moves but slow and kind of stuttering.

    The GUI overall, menus etc, behaves a bit slower as well. Not much but not as quick and responsive at it was in Sierra.

    Have tried de-activating GPU but that has no difference at all.

    I have the latest version, 14.0.2.
    Updated to Mojave because the Adobe chat support suggested that would help out some other issues I have had.
    One reason was that command + new shortcut stopped working. And now it stopped working again...

    Same thing happens in Illustrator so it seems to be something of a Mojave comparability?

    Other software (non-adobe) seems to be just fine though.

    Using a Imac 2017, i7, 32 ram, 1 tb ssd.

    I'm a big fan of technology but in Adobes case it seems as going back a few years actually was better having a lot fewer issues in the software.
    (For me it all started with the bloody CC subscription thing.)

16. InDesign opens two files when only one selected.

    When I open a file, InDesign will open another file at the same time, one that I didn't select. Not a horrible inconvenience, but why is this happening?

17. InDesign-window "Missing Links in document" does not appear when Microsoft DFS-Links not available

    SITUATION
    We migrated our old Active Directory "OldAD.ads" to a complete new one "NewAD.ads"
    We use InDesign CC2019 (latest Version)

    All out file-shares are mounted on client computers with Microsoft DFS-Links.
    - Old DFS-Link: \OldAD\DFS\OldShare - The DFS-Links points to a share on our old fileserver: \OldFileServer.OldAD.ads\Share_OLD
    All shares on the old fileserver are closed, so the DFS-Links have no destination but are still "available".

    • New DFS-Link: \NewAD\DFS\NewShare - The DFS-Links points to a share on our new fileserver: \NewFileServer.NewAD.ads\Share_NEW

    Both fileservers hold "their" (Active Directory based) DFS-structure.

    Of course, all users open their files on the new fileserver, shares are mounted via the new DFS-structure.

    THE REAL STRANGE ERROR
    As long as the old fileserver and old Domaincontroller are up, InDesign acts as expected: We open an old document, the windows "missing links in document" comes up, we fix the broken links, the document opens, everything is fine.

    BUT when I shut down the fileserver and the last domaincontroller, the following happens: We open an old document (containing links to documents, that were on shares mounted via the old DFS on our old fileserver), InDesign freezes and the mouse pointer circles. I waited up to 30 minutes, nothing happened. And now comes the really strange thing: When I unplug the network cable (no joke), the "missing links in document"-windows comes to front and I can fix the broken links after plugging in the cable again.
    When I turn on the old fileserver and domaincontroller again, everything works fine again.

    I can reproduce this error on all our 4 InDesign-workstations. The error only appears when the broken path contains a DFS-Link and the link is not available any more - no matter if the "real" share behind the link is available or not.
    The InDesign option "Ignore missing links when opening a document" does not affect the error, it happens when the option is set or not.

    SITUATION

18. Unusable actual InDesign CC 2019

    Actually InDesign is not production ready. Every few seconds the beach ball spins. I found a workaround which is … well ok but not satisfying: As long as I work in the idml-file it works but as soon as I'm opening an indd file the program slows down extremely.

    That can't be the solution! Why don't you see that?

19. When relinking multiple files Skip causes a cancel, not a skip

    Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server

    Steps to reproduce the issues
    1. Select multiple files in the Links panel.
    2. Click the Relink button.
    3. Click on the Skip button at the bottom of the dialogue

    Expected result
    The current file is skipped an I can continue to relink other files selected

    Actual result
    The relink process is canceled

    There is already a Cancel button so the Skip button should provide a different result. It seems intuitive that Skip means Skip this file, but continue with the other selected files.

20. CC Library after last update now puts white box around all graphics

    After the latest update, when I use my library to place a logo on a page in InDesign, it now almost looks like a white background PNG instead of the logo without any background. Running into printing issues with white boxes around all of our CC Library Graphics.
