Diaporama - Speech note under pages
I propose that tool because it can be really useful when you prepare visual of your diaporama the possibility to write your speech under your pages in same time.
At the ending, you will be able to print a summary of your speech with markers that indicates the page number.

Wrong font case in TOC when using character style with upper case
When generating table of contents it fetches the text and ignores paragraph styles, but character styles are left. This must be a misstake.
I want TOC to be title case and chapter headings to be upper case that is set in a paragraph style. So far so good. But I am adjusting minor words (and, at, etc) with a character style. And for those words the upper case setting also shows in TOC.

Exporting to PDF with print marks increases page size
Using CC InDesign 2019 14.0.3 on a Mojave 10.14.6 MacBookPro
For some unknown reason, for the last 3 months or so every time I export a pdf with any print marks, the page size is increased by 4.4mm on every side of the page ... eg I set up a document as A4 (297x210mm) with a 3mm bleed, set my content and then export it with print marks I get a 4.4mm increase on each side of every page - ie the resulting document size is 311.8 x 224.8mm instead of 303 x 216mm

Use of tab key is inserting unwanted numerals into line of copy instead of tab
When working in InDesign v 14.0.3 x64 on my PC, I've encountered a new problem when trying to align text in a bulleted list using the "tab" key.
After keying in the text in my list, I create alignment by first inserting tabs using the Type > Tabs command, and then using the "Tab" key on my keyboard to align second and third lines of text. font cache
Fonts in Document fonts folder are not removeable anymore.
I’m a typedesigner and check fonts by generating them into a Document fonts folder. In the past the fonts were always at once updated in Indesign, when I overwrote the fontfile. This does not work anymore.
What is worse. A font that I generated into the folder is still visible in the font menue of the document, and I can still select and use it, even if the file does not exist anymore on the computer. It only disappears if I cut the internet. So it seems the font is stored…1 vote -

When i change the opacity of a layer, the other layers are hurted, why?

CPU over 100% - inDesign not usable
Within in hour of using inDesign the CPU goes up to 1000% of CPU usage without any reasons. No matter if I'm working on a blanc space or big files, it react over time.
Quick solution is to restart the application, within 1 hour of using the CPU goes up again.
I reinstalled the application and work on a new account.
Specs:
iMac (Retina 5K, 27 Zoll, End 2015)
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

indesign canvas can not be 6500mm in CC
can not create a canvas with 6500mm, it reverts back to 5486.4 mm
As an industry standard software, you would expect that there is no limitations to the canvas size.

Interactive Buttons "go to destination" stop at page 114
Hi,
i cannot select more than 114 pages as a destination of an interactive button in a document with a total of 120 pages. I can't see why that's not possible, so this must be a bug?1 vote -
Imported styles contain unwanted formatting
InDesign CC 2018
When I load styles from an existing document (one that got designed for me, and therefore has lots of styles that I need to reuse) the style in the new document contains lots of random additional settings.
The doc in question is MSM - Front and Back matter (attached). To recreate the issue, simply export any paragraph (or other) style into a different document and check out the extraneous formatting.

Link updates not registering in Indesign Mac
Indesign 14.0.3 (latest offered)
A text box is dynamically linked [place and link] from a master document to a child document. When the text is changed in the master document, the linked box in the child detects that it has been changed, and prompts user to update the placed box with a missing/updated link warning and an ! icon on the linked box. This is the expected behavior, and this works properly on Windows version of Indesign.
This function is not working on the Mac version of Indesign. Changes to the master are not being detected by the linked copy…

Wenn man verschiedenen Worten in einem Textblock (die eben nicht direkt hintereinander liegen) - zum Beispiel eine andere Schriftart oder Farbe zuweisen möchte, so muss man jedes Wort einzel mit dem Inhaltswerkzeug anwählen und dann das gewünschte Format vergeben. Toll wäre, wenn man (zum Beispiel mit der Shift-Taste) gleich mehrere Wörter oder Bereiche anwählen kann - das würde die Arbeit sehr erleichtern.

indd 14.0.3 - mojave os - working until 7 last night, very slow but working. this morning at 5am took long time to open program, once the doc finally opened all the fonts were missing. creative cloud box says "...uses fonts that are currently unavailable on your computer." "Adobe Fonts could not find any matching fonts." I know the fonts are enabled, but still updated Font Explorer to a newer version then restarted. no luck. same message

delete button doesn't work
Sometimes the delete button on keyboard just quits working for no reason. When I close ID and reopen it with the file again, the delete button is working OK again.

Problem with InDesign search and subsequent type tool use
Do you know of a fix for an annoying glitch with InDesign's search tool?
When I search for a word and the search spans into the next section/story of a document, I'm unable to type in the text frame.
Alt+tabbing into a different program and then back into InDesign is the only way I've found of solving the problem.

Text input lag with 5k screen
Typing in any Indesign text box causes input lag on Mac Mini, OS X Mojave and an 5k LG screen connected with a eGPU.
