1. RGB Gray are not exported in PDF with the same values.

   InDesign Version: 18.2.1 x64

   When setting a gray scale in InDesign with different patches of equal R=G=B and inspecting the resulting PDF the % values are correct but when inspecting the color values in Acrobat Pro Object Inspector there are some slight differences in the R G and B components.
   When doing the same in Illustrator with the same profiles and exporting settings the components are equals.

2. RTL options dissappeared in Indesign 18.3

   Indesign 18.3 - Hebrew support edition.

   Steps to reproduce the issues: Choose a text box, and try to set RTL. THERE IS NO RTL button! (Indesign 17.x had RTL and LTR buttons. But after upgrade to Indesign 18.3 - the RTL button dissappeared!)

   Expected result: Should have RTL buttons just like Indesign 17.x

   Actual result: Missing RTL buttons.

3. Balance Column Freezes InDesign (MAC/PC) and InDesign Server

   InDesign Server 18.1, InDesign (18.2.1, 18.3 on Mac and PC) (also did this in 17 but was hoping better in 18)

   (Zip and indd files are not being allowed to upload). Please contact me for the file.

   System freezes when selecting the frame on the last page and balancing the column.

4. Preview settings are not beeing saved anymore

   For years I set my preview size to 1024x1024px, which is the largest option. Since InDesign 18.2.1 the preview size setting resets itself after a restart of InDesign to 512x512px.

5. The shortcut for Bridge opens Bridge every day, repeatedly by mistake. Can it be altered?

   It's kind of a bug since it opens when I don't want it to, so I placed my question here. As I type, every day I open Bridge by mistake. Can I change the shortcut, or disable it, and how do I even find it?

   As far as a bug alert, could Adobe change the default shortcut to Bridge, so it doesn't open 10 or more times a day as book editors like me edit text for 8 hours. I don't even know what I am typing incorrectly to open Bridge.

6. Path to images in linked InDesign documents not adjusted when packaged

   I have packaged an InDesign document with linked InDesign documents for the printer. The images inside the packaged InDesign files have the wrong path, it has not been adjusted to the packaged images.

   Our printer has printed the product therefor without the linked images which is a desaster. Please fix linked image paths within linked InDesign documents.

   When exporting PNG images, INDD errs on the side of light exports at edges vs. rounding to a surrounding black level as demonstrated in the attached PDF.

8. Why can't InDesign import and edit pdfs or images without plug in

   When I try to import pdf or jpeg into Adobe InDesign 2023 desktop it says required plug in is missing. Since I am paying monthly for the full 2023 version why do I need a plug in? I am on older computer that uses Windows 10. Will I have this problem if I upgrade my computer?

9. # in URLs of Hyperlinks in Hyperlinks panel is substituted with %23 when opened in browser from panel

   Hi together,
   when working with hyperlinks with URL destination an URL like:

   https://wiki.selfhtml.org/wiki/HTML/Elemente/a#Siehe_auch

   will not be transferred to the browser as is when the menu command "Go to Destination" is used or if the "green" bullet in the panel is clicked that indicates a correct and connectable hyperlink destination.

   Instead character # will be substituted with %23 like that:

   https://wiki.selfhtml.org/wiki/HTML/Elemente/a%23Siehe_auch

   The implication could be two-fold:
   [1] The browser could show an 404 error
   [2] The browser could not navigate to the named anchor and the view of the page is showing the top part of the page.

   The URL above will show error [2].
   This URL will show a 404 error:

   https://www.histaminintoleranz.ch/en/symptoms.html#zusammenfassung

   For the first error, the 404, I included screenshots and a sample InDesign document from InDesign 2023:

10. Fit Frame to Content multicolumn text frame

    1. InDesign 18.3 but has been doing this for many years.

    2. Draw a single column text frame next to a multicolumn text frame, have the same number of lines in both frames, apply Fit Frame to Content with any method to both frames, they will most likely not be the same height. You can change the width of the multicolumn frame and then Fit Frame to Content might get closer.

    3. Should be the same height if all text styling is the same.

    4. Variable height on the multicolumn frame, doing Fit Frame to Content a few times and can change it each time.

    This is particularly frustrating when you cannot align the top of the frames due to layout, so instead, you have to zoom in, place a guide, and manually nudge so the text baselines line up.

15. text box link

    This is a bug affecting my Windows 10 version (18.3 x64) that has been happening for the last week or so, presumably with the latest update. Text box links will break for no reason leaving the content displayed in each text box as its new content. I actually watched it break the connection between the text boxes while I was doing nothing to my document.

    Je souhaiterai pouvoir régler la couleur de l'onglet du fichier en cour. Car gis foncé sur gris plus foncé on peut chercher un moment de même pour les autres couleur de'interface. Pas assez de contraste.

18. 日本語文字を直接ローマ字入力しようとすると、最初の入力が認識されずにアルファベット変換されてしまうことが多い（例：デザインと入力しようとしてdeと入力すると、「ｄ」と「え」にされてしまう。入力しなおすとちゃんと表記される）。とても使いづらいのですぐに直してほしい。

19. nonprinting text boxes disappear in normal view. Create a text box and type text into it. Select Window/Output/Attributes, and tick the box.

    InDesign 18.2.1, Mac Mini Apple M2 Pro, Ventura 13.3.1 (a). Create a text box in Normal View and type text into it. Select the box, then Window/Output/Attributes, and tick Nonprinting. The text box on the page becomes invisible, although you can still select it if you know where it is. What should happen is that the box and text remain visibile but do not print. This makes the nonprinting feature useless. This was OK in my last version of InDesign, CS6 on a PC.
