2. Share for Review access settings - Public Link not available

   I am trying to use the new Share for Review option. As outlined here, I should be able to switch the access options from invitation only to public which should give me the option to have people without an Adobe account review the content by simply inputting a password for access. However, I cannot switch from invitation only to public as I simply have the invitation only option as a fixed option and no dropdown to choose from. Is there an option somewhere that I need to enable first so I can publicly share these files for review? As of right now, as helpful as the review function is, I cannot use it if my reviewers first have to sign up for an Adobe account. That kind of defeats the purpose.

4. ALT Text not appearing in group

   InDesign 2020

   Issue: I have a screenshot with alt text included (typed in the Object Export Options dialogue). I then have a simple red box (rectangle tool, no fill, 2pt stroke) highlighting a section of that screenshot. When I group those objects, and export a tagged PDF, I get an error in Acrobat stating that no alt text exists.

   Expected result: Alt text should appear.

   Actual result: No alt text is present, or the assigned alt text is not recognized and is flagged by Acrobat's accessibility checker.

   This issue did not exist with ID 2019.

5. Can't Place Images with Applescript on MacOS 10.15 Catalina

   InDesign 15.0.1

   The Place command now fails in Applescript, following an upgrade to Catalina.
   The "Image Catalog" sample script also fails to place the images in the same manner. Image placement fails with an error 1708, <<the file string>> doesn't understand the "place" message.

6. convert newer version

   When I tried to convert newer version indd files 15.1 ver to 13.1.1. Even I signed in my Adobe account it still says the file can't be convert since I'm not signed in my account.

7. BUG with master text frames, master pages and "allow pages to shuffle"

   Hello,

   Latest Indesign CC on Windows 10 64bits.

   I have a document, with a master page template applied to all pages in the document. There are master text frames inside the master page template, perfectly aligned with the margins on each left, and right page. In my master page template, I have set up the following margins for left pages :

   top : 46pt
   bottom : 46pt
   outside : 56pt
   inside : 46pt

   And the right pages margins set up as follow :

   top : 46pt
   bottom : 46pt
   outside : 46pt
   inside : 46pt

   On the left pages, I have a solid holding the current category / section, so I have set a larger outside margin.

   Everything looks good and aligned (text boxes are controled by master pages master text frames) until I delete one page for example, which makes every following right page, a left page, and every left page, a right page.

   From this point, in my pages, all text boxes are misaligned to the margins set in the master page template. That is to say that from now on, left pages have text boxes which are the size of right pages text boxes, and right pages text boxes have the size of left pages text boxes.

   To fix it, I have to select all my pages, and reapply my master page template to update the text boxes to match the master page's master text frames.

   Then, the text frames are finally properly aligned to the margins set in the master page template.

   I don't think this is how it should behave. Master text frames should always be synchronized to the master page templates and should not have to be reapplied manually...

   I might be using this wrong but I can't figure out an auto fix, and this gets really annoying when you have to fine tune your document, remove some elements, which can makes me delete some pages, which causes this issue.

   Any fix ? What about a option to make indesign aware when right pages become left pages, and left pages become right pages, and reapply automatically the master page template to adapt to those changes ?

   Am I alone with this issue ?

8. package folder name

   INDD 15.1, Mac OS 10.15.5
   With the 15.1 update, when packaging a file, the folder name is no longer highlighted. I, like most people, delete the word "Folder" that INDD adds to the packaged folder name. In previous versions, the folder name was highlighted in the package window so that hitting the right arrow would move the cursor to the end allowing one to delete "Folder." Now one has to click into the name field to change it. This release has added an extra step. Please revert to how it used to work. Or better yet, stop adding "Folder" to packaged folder names.

9. Id crashes on old file

   I had to open and save some larger old ID-documents from 2014. Id 15.1 crashed 3 or 4 times, and because I really needed to work with those files I reinstalled 15.0.3 which runs a lot smoother on those docs.

   Also there's still an old bug: after starting up Id, press CMD-o to open some Id-file, doesn't do anything. I have to choose the File menu and choose 'Open...'. After 1 file has been opened like this, the key combination CMD-o functions from now on. Until you close down Id and start it up again...

10. Wrong translation of “Publish online” UI in Czech language

    Please correct wrong translation of "Single" and "Spread". In the latest version of InDesign the translation means "One FIle" and "Extension", crazy, isn't it? Please follow the long established terminology developed in old days when you did ask humans to translate UI items and you did consult it with local experts: the names are correct in InDesign PDF export dialog, so why don't you reuse the correct terminology?
    The correct form is "Stránky" and "Dvojstránky".

    !!! PLEASE stop using robots or Google Translate for new features in InDesign !!!

11. Cursor disappears – ID 15.1.2 and Mojave

    Using the Rectangle Frame Tool, the cursor disappears seemingly randomly. Other tools seem to work fine.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while.
    This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
    Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

14. discrepancy with the unit of measurement v15.1.2 on macOS Mojave v10.14.6

    There is a discrepancy with the unit of measurement. Even tho it is set up to inches, the "new document" dialog box keeps the bleed, margins, and gutter in millimeters.

16. Even though the book contains three chapters, bookmarks only appear for two chapters

    InDesign 2020 - I have create a multi-chapter book. When I use the function "Esporta libro su PDF…" the file PDF obtained has the summary correct (all the chapters are dysplayed) but bookmarks only appear for two chapthers.
    I've tried changing the order of the chapters to see if it's a file problem, but the result doesn't change. The last chapter does not appear in bookmarks list.

18. Resizing object with 'Auto-Fit' enabled now broken in 15.1

    In version 15.0.3 and earlier, if you enabled the 'Auto-Fit' option and then resized an object by entering values in the Width or Height fields the content would resize along with the frame (as expected).

    With 15.1 this no longer works. The frame resizes but the content doesn't. Only way for 'Auto-Fit' to behave as expected is to drag the frame handles.

19. layout moves when dragging pictures from windows explorer

    When I have a grid of empty frames that I wish to populate with images that I am dragging from windows explorer, as I fill them the view of the layout shifts meaning I have to keep adjusting my view as items move outside the view. Everything is visible at the start so this auto view shift is really unhelpful and considering the volume of work this affects it would be a real time saver if it didn't happen.
