2. After changing workspace the extension panels become huge

   After changing workspace the extensions panels contents become huge. Clicking on anything in the panel does not work. Turning the panel off and on, changing workspace several times does not help. Only restarting the application makes the panel the standard size (zoom). Today I updated the application to the latest version, but the previous version also had the problem.

   This is terribly annoying because I have to turn indesign off and on dozens of times during the day.

3. Fonts not copying when packaging a file

   I've been having issues ever since the update of InDesign 16.4. The issues have been fonts copying over when packaging a file. It's on all computers MacBook (personal) and two iMacs (work). Projects have been different but have same issue. So far I've only gone the manual route to retrieve the fonts but main problem is still ongoing. The fonts aren't from type kit or have certain permission restraints. These are purely installed fonts that I've had zero issues in the past been using them for the past 2yrs and ever since the update they no longer copy over. So I'm not too certain as to why I keep having the packaging error of copying the fonts.

4. Stylistic Sets do not work alongside feature variations

   Hi there! There seems to be a bug when applying OpenType Stylistic Sets to fonts that have feature variations. This has occurred with multiple fonts produced by me and colleagues, so I have made a simplified test font that you can use to duplicate the issue.

   Version of Adobe InDesign: InDesign 16.2.1

   Steps to reproduce the issues:
   - select variable font with feature variation
   - use variable font slider or select named instance to apply feature variation
   - apply opentype stylistic set that affects same glyph as feature varation

   Expected result: Alternate glyphs from Stylistic Sets are applied to font.

   Actual result:
   - Selecting alternates from tooltip does nothing
   - Applying stylistic set to selection does nothing
   - Contextual menu says “OpenType properties are not available” even though they are

   when anchored objects (such as column Text or line numbers) are anchored in a Text using the options "Paragraph border" and "paragraph Shading" the borders and Shades will "randomly" disappear, or new border-lines will appear (when more then one paragraphs are merged, the lines always appear between the different styles, even though they work fine again when the object is de-anchored). Sometimes the appearance doesn't change when an object is anchored, but when the anchored object is edited (for example, when the size of the anchored object is changed).

   This is reproducable on my Windows 10, using InDesign 15.1.4.
   Steps:
   - create a new document
   - create a paragraph styles using paragraph borders/ paragraph shading
   - create 1 or 2 more styles, based on the previously defined style
   - create an object-style using "benutzerdefiert" (individual?) - positioning
   - anchor 2 or 3 objects in the shaded text/ the text with borders

   The problem also sometimes appears when an object is anchored in a text using Paragraph border/ shading, when text anywhere else in the same story is edited.

   This issue continues to be seen in a PDF, which makes it really hard to have a stable document using this paragraph style options.

8. Edit page size duplicates

   I found one bug.

   When I'm pasting something in any field in interface, using Windows 10 clipboard (after clicking Win+V) then copied text is pasting 2 times.

10. Error 39 - An error occurred while uploading your document. Please try again.

    Hey all,

    Really seeking some help or guidance here, we've been experiencing issues with all of our users attempting to upload/publish a document within InDesign (This is occurring with all InDesign files and on all machines I've tested so far).

    I have performed a fresh installation into a virtual machine running Windows 10 (10.0.18363.1854) and version 17.0 of InDesign where the issue is occurring also.

    I have followed https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/upload-error-publishing-indesign-document.html#sa_src=web-messag... however disabling network proxy is not an option as we're an enterprise environment.

    I can see 200's for reaching the endpoints mentioned in various Adobe support documentation however I have been able to identify that InDesign will ignore the PAC file and attempt to go directly to some Amazon endpoints which is causing the error.

    I contacted Adobe Support via Chat and was advised my request was forwarded to an expert however I have received no communications since then or a reference number to persue the matter.

    Is there any additional settings within InDesign where I can specify a proxy?

11. 15.1.2 No cursor visible in Input fields in Light/Medium Light themes

    Since installing 15.1.2 on iMac 10.15.6 (and after restart) , I can't see my cursor (blinking) in the Find/change input field. I can type in some text though, but still no cursor visible

    The issue has also been fixed in the latest update of InDesign 2020 (ver. 15.1.3).
    Please update InDesign 2020 to version 15.1.3 to get the fix.

12. InDesign 17.0 crashes on launch after removing a previously installed CEP Extension

    Steps to reproduce in InDesign 17.0:

    1. Install a CEP extension folder manually to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions
    2. Launch then quit InDesign
    3. Delete CEP extension folder installed in step 1
    4. Launch InDesign, it will crash when "Starting up panels"

    As a workaround deleting the following cache folder allows InDesign to launch again.
    ~/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign/Version 17.0

    This was not an issue in ID 16.4

    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2022(v17.0.1.105). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

13. Delete key triggers place command

    Since the latest upgrade, the delete key on my Mac triggers the place (Cmd-D) command. I have to hit Fn-Delete to delete anything. Anyone else experiencing this?

14. Changing default language causes InDesign to crash and language remains unchanged

    InDesign v 16.4 & InDesign v 17.0 on macOS Catalina

    InDesign keeps crashing when you’re trying to change the default language. Received a large file with French as default and we need to localize it for US market.

15. indd 2022 - black font seperation incorrect in pdf export with some settings

    after the update to indd 2022 (which some idiot client editor did in the middle of a magazine before saving and thus up-versioning half the files) I have problems with pdf export. Since acrobat/distiller seems not to have been updated at the same time, I assume the problem is with indd.

    When exporting for print, indd exports black print as rich black - regardless of the indd settings - when the export to pdf settings /output / convert to destination (profile) is set.
    If I export with / convert to destination (preserve numbers) then black is exported correctly. This is obviously bunk.
    thw workaround (half a day to find this) is to export with convert to destination (preserve numbers). Caveat all images needed to be converted manually before export, as a specific output profile was necessary.

    needless to say everything worked as expected before the 'update'.

    Seperation is determined with Acrobat CC preflight ink separations.

    I can reproduce the error with a new document, with text cmyk 0 0 0 100 /adobe preset output all blacks accurately /, exported to pdf converted to ISO coated.
    With "preserve numbers" the separations in Acrobat are correct, without preserve numbers rich black is exported.

16. File saving issue

    When we got an software update the biggest issue in indesign is, it does not save the existing file with the new version rather it open a windows to save the file, andI hate it seriously.

18. Verknüpfungen werden nach jeder Aktivität neu aufgebaut // InDesign 17.0 x64 // running on Win 10 Pro

    Aktuell laden sich die verknüpften Bilder nach jedem Doing in InDesign (Also egal was ich mache, Textverschieben, von einem anderen Programm zurück zu InDesign wechsle oder was auch immer, 1 Sache mache ich und schon laden die ganzen Verknüpfungen neu. In den alten Versionen lief das ohne Probleme. Ich konnte ohne Störungen arbeiten. Dies scheint ein BUG zu sein, denn das macht das Arbeiten mit dem neuen InDesign unmöglich. Ich kann nicht jede Sekunde warten, bis sich der Screen neu aufgebaut hat und ich weiterarbeiten kann. Die Bilder komplett auszugrauen ist auch keine Option, da es für unsere Gestaltung wichtig ist, die eingebauten Bilder sehen zu können.

    Gibt es hier evtl. eine Lösung die ich nicht kenne?
    Falls und wenn leider nicht, bitte schickt hier ein ganz schnelles Update nach. In der täglichen Arbeit so nicht nutzbar.

19. Keyboard not working on startup indd files

    Indd 17.0. x64, 2022. Win 10 latest update 21H1
    When I open some Indd files my keyboard don't working in indesign. I have to push the "win" key and after this, keyboard in Indesign work properly.

20. Error on Save : "Indesign is unable to save this file. We tried, but appears to be damaged."

    Indesign constantly comes up with a weird error when ever I click save while in a document - 'Indesign is unable to save this file. We tried, but appears to be damaged. click Ok.

    Also I know in the previous version that whenever I zoomed in too much I would get constant crashes. Hope it's been fixed in the version but I won't hold my breath.
