1. Indesign published document - not listed on the 'publish online dashboard'

   Yesterday I published a presentation and shared it with the client - this morning I went to view analytics for the published document in my online dashboard but it's not listed there. The published document I shared is still working but I have no way to see the analytics for the document. I've tried clearing browser history, signing out of indesign and refreshing browser many times but no change. I can see the other documents that I published yesterday that I don't need the analytics for.

   Any suggestions or solutions please? Is this a known bug?

   I'm on a MacBook Pro 2021 - MacOS Monterey 12.5.1
   Indesign 17.4

2. Massive Graphics Glitches

   OSX 12.4
   InDesign 17.3
   2019 Retina 5K iMac 19,1 w/64 GB RAM

   This issue seems to persist despite the most current updates. At first, I thought my video card was dying, but as it does not happen with any other product I feel it is strictly an InDesign issue.

   This most often happens when I am close up working on a document. Sometimes I might nudge the view (either accidentally or on purpose) and the screen redraws with massive sections missing or rendering in bizarre geometric patterns. If I scroll away and come back... it's fine.

   This appeared to be happening much more often with ID 17.2 and I was hoping 17.3 addressed this problem. For a short while it appeared like it was fixed. But, soon enough...it happened again. Not at the same rate, but enough that it is just unacceptable for a subscription product.

   As I said this occurs on and off in two specific ways. One, usually when there is a quick movement of the screen forcing a small redraw. And two, when you are close up (although on a rare occasion it does happen at full screen). The patterns are pretty severe, although that too tends to vary. I am attaching a screenshot of one of the most recent severe occurrences.

4. InDesign crashes whenever story editor is opened

   Story editor is unavailable because the crash happens as soon as I open it. On MacBook Air chip M1, Indesign 16.4. Also text in text frames disappears ,and F8 does not work as a shortcut to info.

5. Alttext missing when image is covering spine

   When you have a spread with an image that is partially covering both pages, the image gets split into two images when making the PDF. Even when adding alttext to the image, this alttext gets Applied only to the first/left half of the image. The part on the right page has no alttext and is not an artefact. This way you will allways end up with a rejected PDF in terms of Accessibility.

6. Publish online: Video sound overlaps on multiple pages

   I regularly need to upload presentations using Publish Online in Indesign. When you start viewing pages, video sound overlaps and plays despite that page not being selected. I have found that once the pages have finished "loading" in the browser, and you start the presentation again, this no longer happens. However, this doesn't help if you have a client wanting to view the link for the first time, and the sound is overlapping.
   I have tried different browsers, and the problem is the same in each one.
   The only solve is to not have videos play sound, but this is very limiting.
   PLEASE can you fix this bug!

7. missing menu

   Having some issues with my menus in Indesign 17.3 / MacOS 12.5.1
   A few of them have been showing up blank and I haven't been able to find a fix, and working off the top menu bar in the meantime is very tedious. Any suggestions welcome.

8. No transparency when placing vector objects from CC library

   All of a sudden InDesign does not support transparency from the CC library. Any object in the library with transparency no comes with a white background. I'm not sure why randomly this has started, but it's extremely annoying and a giant workflow hang-up.

9. InDesign 17.2 Export XML crashes

   Adobe InDesign 17.2.0.20
   macOS 12.3.1

   Upon exporting XML from an InDesign file, InDesign crashes. This does not happen with Adobe InDesign 17.1.0.50.

   Please see attached crash logs and error messages received from InDesign.

10. large file freezes indesign 2022

    newly installed indesign 2022, while opening a small file opens correctly, but while trying to open a large file freezes with no response. happened on to laptops, works great on a stationary. HELP

11. Problem with going back and forth between Mac created files and PC created files

    Updated to InDesign 17.4 and now can not work between Mac files and PC files created in this version. I keep getting the beach ball spinning. And images are shown with bands of color and I have to relink all images.

12. Paste without formatting option disappeared, CTRL+Shift+V not working

    There was previously an option to Paste with Formatting and Paste Without Formatting, and after recent updates, the options have disappeared and paste functioning is working incorrectly. I used both of these functions for various reasons, and would greatly appreciate it coming back! I could use CTRL+Shift+V to paste without formatting, or, if I clicked into a text box and right clicked, there were for options: Cut | Copy | Paste | Paste Without Formatting. Now, only the first three appear as options and I've lost the fourth function. There are times when I WANT to paste with formatting, though mostly I paste without formatting. Now, I don't see a Right-Click menu option for "paste without formatting" and even using CTRL+Shift+V is not working. Now, the default paste seems to be "without formatting" except even then, it's pasting with the incorrect formatting - not retaining the original settings from Word, nor adopting the settings I'm pasting into. This is a significant in-efficiency as I'm having to redo paragraph styles for all paragraphs, instead of it overlaying the text I want to replace and maintaining the InDesign paragraph styles I had with the previous text.

    I'm in v17.2.1; recently upgraded to Windows 11 also.

13. Id CC 2022 pdf export and assemblage issue + links not displaying correctly

    Indesign, version 2022 17.2.1. / Mac Monterey version 12.3.1.
    My file's links are not displaying correctly when viewing in high quality. Photos all appear black/gray streaked (see attached files).
    They only display correctly when the display is standard.
    Then, and this is the biggest problem, I can't export pdf or do assembly. When I try to export a pdf, I get the following error message: "This document contains links to files or URLs that are not accessible. Please check your network connectivity or the original source of the content."
    But all my files are linked, there is no error on that side. I even did the test with an old assembled file, and the same problem occurs.
    The only solution I found is to reimport each link one by one each time I open my file, and then I can export or assemble. But if I quit Indesign, when I reopen the file the problem starts again.
    I talk to someone from Adobe on the chat, but he couldn't help me, apparently the issue is new to Adobe. So he ask me to report the issue here for the ingeneers. If someone could help me... thanks !

14. gpu

    Graphics Card not being used on macOS.

    I am using a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB, however the GPU is never being used (according to activity monitor).
    Within Indesign, the GPU is detected, and the GPU-Performance is enabled.

    The performance is really bad and many times the CPU maxes out at 100%, which makes sense because the dedicated GPU is never utilised.

    But why? Shouldn't this work?

15. Fenster nach Ruhezustand verschoben und kleiner

    Hallo,

    ich arbeite seit 2 Monaten mit Mac Studio und 2x Displaystudio 27 Zoll.

    Ich habe das rechte Display-Hauptfenster (1. ) festgelegt. Ich arbeite wie immer Adobe Programme Indesign Photoshop Co., deren Benutzeroberfläche bzw. Fenstern immer offen sind auch z. B. Internet Browser Safari auf linke Fenster platziert. Gesamtes System aktiviert nach 10 Minuten in Ruhezustand bzw. Bildschirmschoner, wenn ich mit dem Mac Studio nichts mache bzw. nicht arbeite.

    wenn die Display Studios /Mac Studio aus dem Ruhezustand aufgeweckt wird, sind die Fenster verschoben.

    Die Adobe Indesign, Illustrator oder Photoshop-Fenster z.B. das normalerweise am linken Bildschirm die volle Höhe einnimmt und, wird nach dem Beenden des Monitor-Ruhezustandes nur noch von etwas oberhalb der Monitormitte bis unten dargestellt (Siehe Bilder).

    Außerdem, wenn ich Photoshop starte, taucht Bedienfelder in der Mitte platziert. Ich habe meinen eigenen Arbeitsbereich festgelegt, normalerweise sollte die Bedienfelder auf rechte Seite am Rand platziert sein.

    Gibt es für dieses Problem irgendwie eine Lösung? Gibt es irgendwo eine Einstellung, die ich übersehen habe? Das nervt gewaltig und ärgerlich!

    Ich habe 3 Wochen lang mit Apple Support versucht das Problem zu lösen leider haben wir nicht geschafft. Weil die Fenster

    von etwas oberhalb der Monitormitte bis unten dargestellt wird, passiert nur Adobe Programme. Bei anderem Programme bleiben die Fenster in der Regel fehlerfrei in ihrer vorherigen Position angezeigt werden d.h. nicht bewogen.

16. I can't see anything except drop down menu items when I create a new document

    That's just it. I create a new document. Put in the pages, margins, units etc.. then.. nothing. Nothing comes up. I can still see the menu items and am able to save the file - but I can't see it or work in it.
    I tried pressing spacebar. nah
    I tried opening from file.. nah
    I tried different views and different previews. Nothing.
    Illustrator works just fine.
    Also, what's the difference between open normal and open original?
    I can't believe I had to waste 30 minutes on this.

17. Character style with one attribute "medium" not displaying properly in properties of the style

    InDesign 17.4

    Step 1: choose character style "none"
    Step 2: create new character style
    Step 3: open new character syle and change "Basic Character Formats → Font Style:" to "Medium"
    Step 4: navigate to the "General" tab: the "Style Settings" area shows "[None]" but should display "[None] + Medium"

18. Linked Image Canvas Resampling Pixelated Issue

    When a linked image canvas size greatly exceeds the image frame size, the linked image is pixelated in both the InDesign preview and the PNG export. JPG exports do not exhibit this issue.

    Please note in the attached images two different linked PSD files. The file on left is cropped to the extent of the rasterized letter 'a'. In the file on the right, the rasterized 'a' has the same pixel dimensions as the first, but the Photoshop document canvas is much larger. This results in a poorly resampled PNG export.

    Object→Object Export Options: EPUB tab:
    epub:type should be translated to epub:Typ and not "Schrift" which is basically the font type.

20. InDesign doesn't import files

    Hi !
    So my issue is that InDesign doesn't allow me to import files, whether they are .jpg, .png or .eps, or else. I need to use a logo that I have in .png, but InDesign doesn't allow me to select my file to import.
