1. InDesign window defaults fullscreen after escaping presentation mode

   When entering presentation mode (shift+w), and then escape, InDesign windows becomes fullscreen.

   When I come out of presentation view the window size gets forgotten and automatically becomes the size of my entire screen (very annoying to keep having to resize the window all the time, completely disrupts my work flow) It even cuts off the bottom tool bar, which I use a lot.

   I have an M1 Macbook, Indeisgn 17.4

   I have previously posted this and told that the issue was fixed. I followed all instructions and the issue is still there.

2. libraries

   I like working with libraries. which are anchored to the side. sometimes when i open indesign, the libraries are gone or messy on my screens.
   it is always difficult to find them again, to place them in the quietest. it is an unnecessary waste of time for me and I have to reorient myself again.
   i had this problem with all indesign versions so far i haven't complained.

3. InDesign 2023 18.0 /Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe InDesign/Version 18.0/en_US/InDesign Recovery/ filling up with DBTmp files

   We have an automated process using InDesign to export the XML out of a .indd files. We are experiencing a scenario where InDesign is leaving behind numerous DBTmp files in /Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe InDesign/Version 18.0/en_US/InDesign Recovery/ to the point that our Mac is filling up a 500 Gig SSD. These files do not clean up after Quitting InDesign, a Reboot, attempting the Reset InDesign Preferences Shift-Control-Option-Command startup of InDesign. These files are also locked. In our scenario, we hit 119,000 files or so and InDesign just quit working due to the drive being full. I have attached a list of the files to this request

5. Type 1 font warning for no reason

   I am getting a warning that my document contains type 1 fonts (10 of them) when they do not (contains 4 OTF fonts).

   As far as I know, I have never used a type one font in any document on my current computer which is only a few weeks old ... Mac mini with t1 chip.

6. Book project list shows warning on recently-saved file

   When I open a layout that is part of a book - currently have 24 different chapters in a book format - I make changes and save and close that file. It is saved. The book project palette shows an error symbol. Why? That file was just saved. So I double-click that file, it opens, the warning symbol goes away, I close that file off without needing to save it. Annoying bug needs to go away. Immediately.

   Latest version - probably been a bug for a decade or more.

   Steps - open file, edit, save, close off, error flag shows up.

   Expected result - don't show me an error on a file that has no error

   Actual result - this is a bug.

7. 2023 | Indesign 14.00 (2019) was the last known version to successfully export interactive elements to PDF

   A bug with Traditon! Happy Birthday you are four years old.

   That since the end of 2019, interactive animated element can no longer output, I had unfortunately recently forgotten (Earlier I had done that more often)! So: Once again I have invested time, things pretty animated, only to realize that the bug still exists!

   Say: All these pretty functions are pointless and useless.
   They are purely for the optics still there, chic to look at .... but unfortunately not intended for use (something I know with Adobe Illustrator for a long time).

   The solution Support suggested at the time was quite funny: uninstall and reset all of the CC references or better completely clean reinstall the OS system. With the hint that it was not Adobe's fault!

   Laugh, yeah right. Something I obviously did not do! Also because I knew, the problem was not with Apple, but again exclusively with ADOBE!

   Since then some bugs have been added without being fixed. Dear Adobeteam, if the interactive menu

   Animated Buttons,
   Buttons,
   page transitions*
   are not available, then be so kind and delete them! OR ******* FIX IT ALREADY!

   *( They don't work anymore in Adobe Acrobat (You can adjust them but it doesn't work.). With Adobe PDF Libary 15.0 it still worked, with 17.0 not anymore)

   Addendum: Have just an Indesign 14 runtergelden and installed. Interactive animated elements from Indesign to PDF exported successfully ...see movie.

9. InDesign 2023 crashing when using links panel

   Though it rights itself occasionally, this happens only when I use the links panel. I am having to cmd-D to import, but that is adding lots of time I don't have.

   Restarts of both InDesign and my latest model MacBook Pro are not fixing this.

   What can I do?

10. Glitches on Indesign version 18.2.1

    We have glitches with indesign 18.2.1 with graphics card Geforce RTX 3060 (newest driver) on Windows 10 (newest patches).
    See attached picture.
    Reproduction: Move and zoom the document. Sometimes it takes some time to reproduce.

11. Window resizing doesn't work in 18.1

    Hi, just updated to ID 18.1 and when I go to resize the document window to make it narrower (just grabbing the right side), it resizes the entire thing – height and width, doesn't go back to the way it was properly and ends up on the bottom of the screen, instead of just making the window narrower.

13. Problem loading font blocks export

    It is common that when importing a text from Word or simply activating a new font (I use FontXplorer X Pro) InDesign stays in the activation process infinitely. This unfinished process blocks any export. The solution is to close InDesign.

14. Conditional texts applied to wrong parts when exported to an idml

    1. Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server: v17.4.1 x64

    2.Steps to reproduce the issues:
    Export an Indesign file with conditional text settings as an idml file and open the idml file in the InDesign application.

    1. Expected result
       Conditional text settings are applied to the same paragraphs and texts as the InDesign file from which the idml was exported.

    2. Actual result
       Conditional text settings are applied to unexpected paragraphs and texts! Seems like this only happens when one or more of the condition is displayed and does not happens when all the conditions are hidden...

15. Objects drawn with Pen tool (including paths for text) disappear when placed over Photoshop file—text wrap is NOT the issue.

    As a children's book designer, I often type on paths, and almost always place text over images. Everything was fine until InDesign's February 2023 update. Now, anything I draw with a pen tool on my text layer—shapes, or paths for type—are invisible, unless I turn off the image layer below it. Note that text wrap for the image is turned off. Text wrap is not the issue!

    Attached are side-by-side screenshots showing my attempts to type on a path. The text disappears when the image layer is turned on. As an experiment, I also drew a random shape with the pen tool on the type layer. Same issue with the shape, it also disappears when the image layer is turned on.

    Please help! What am I doing wrong?

17. EPUB – Endnote backlink issues for INDB files

    When exporting EPUB 3.0 (and 2.01) from an InDesign(2022, version 17.4) book file, endnotes only link in the first chapter where they are found. Subsequent chapters reveal <a> tags with empty href attributes.
    Backlinks are required by virtually all ebook publishers. For academic books, endnotes are essential and the request for EPUB formats is only increasing.

    So far Adobe Car's response: "Currently, we do not have a workaround for this issue other than creating a single document instead of book or manually modifying backlink in the exported EPUB file." This isn't acceptable or even always possible.

18. split layout view, copy, paste, undo, paste without formatting, crash

    Reproducable crash in InDesign when working in split layout view.

    1) move to split layout view
    2) copy text from right window
    3) Ctrl V in left window
    4) Ctrl Z to undo
    5) Ctrl-Shift V to paste without formatting
    6) crash (the expected result here obviously being InDesign not crashing but pasting the text without formatting).

    Filed multiple reports from these crashes.

    Currently working on PC with Win10 and InDesign 18.2 x64, but this has happened on both Mac and PCs, with 2 different employers as well as privately (and thus 3 different server/hard drive configurations), clean installs as well as older installs, all the way back to InDesign version 15.

    Reproducable crash in InDesign when working in split layout view.

19. Unable to resize textbox from bottom

    The Open Type option prevents us to resize the box from the bottom, which is annoying. Please move it slightly off-center. Thank you.

20. Bottom toolbar/scroll bar dissapears when in fullscreen mode

    At first i thought it was my monitors, but it also does it when I have InDesign open on my laptop. I'm running the latest Microsoft update, and when I select Fullscreen on the InDesign window, the bottom bar disappears, so I'm unable to use the bottom scrollbar. It only re-appears when i minimize the window
