Share For Review, only getting shape tool and pin tool.
In share for review, I only see the pin tool and the shape tool. All of the other reviewing tools that I should be seeing are missing. They appear briefly and then disappear.
2 votesIf the Share for Review was created using the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), then only 2 Tools are visible in the browser – Pin and Draw.
The new Text Tools in Share for Review – Highlight, Strikethrough, and Replace are available ONLY if :
1) Share for Review is initiated from InDesign 2021.
2) Opening a document that was created in an earlier version and initiating Share for Review from InDesign 2021.
3) For Share for Review created from InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), you click on the Update Link button in the Share for Review panel in InDesign 2021. (You may have to hit the Refresh button in the browser if the Review was already open there).—

Last updated stays on 'this week'.
My version is 15.1.2
It seemed to work before, but the 'timestamp' when I click on Update Link remains 'this week'. I remember before it said something like 'X minutes ago'.

Share for review Icon is hiding content.
The share for review icon is hiding my text in InDesign.
Often I get text updated and users place the icon on top of the words.
When I want to update the text, it is very difficult to see the text to update as the icon is placed right on top. Would be nice if I could move the icon a little.Thanks.
1 voteYou can click on the Eye icon at the bottom of the Review panel to temporarily hide the annotations and unhide them again by clicking again on the Eye icon.

Share for review: drawing annotations wonky
When drawing annotations in Share for Review, the tool doesn't draw where my cursor is, and the line I have drawn moves as I move the cursor.

Misplaced pin icons and shapes in Share for Review
Pins or shapes in Share for Review are always shown with misplaced icons or shape "borders". All browsers render it similarly. In Chrome, after reloading and clearing cache through DevTools, pin icons are changed to numbers and shapes disappear (in DevTools there is some error...). Btw, in Opera for Android, there are shown numbers by default. Using InDesign 15.1.1 for Windows, tried different files on laptot/desktop with the same results.
About a week before I used the function for the first time and everything was fine, but I'm not sure if InDesign had the latest update.

share for review is not working consistently
If I try updating a share for review link the share for review panel freezes as shown in the attached image and nothing happens.
I have to close and reopen the indesign file for the Share for Review to update the link, but it only works once or twice, before it begins to freeze again.10 votesThis issue was fixed in InDesign v15.1.2 and later.
Please update to the latest available versions and see if the issue(s) you were facing earlier has got resolved.

Share for Review Comments Sign In Bug
My idea is to let people comment on Share for Review for Indesign even if they don't have an Apple, Google, or Facebook account. Not sure why Adobe wouldn't allow people to enter their email as a guest to make comments? Makes no sense to me.
1 voteAs a ‘Reviewer’, you do not need to have Apple/Google/Facebook account. You can Review as a Guest.
The ‘Designer’, when he creates and sends the link to you (the Reviewer), has to create a ‘Public Link’ in InDesign. When you as the reviewer open that Public Link, you can Review and Comment as a ‘Guest’.
Hope it helps and you will be able to use Share for Review feature and find it useful.

When I share to review, weird things happen
I have InDesign 15.1.1 and I've been using the new Share to Review feature often. I've noticed that my text and tables would completely disappear on random pages and the Table of Contents became messed up as well. To make the text reappear, I had to adjust the size of the frame by a pixel or two then it would return. It didn't matter if I made the frame bigger or smaller.

Share for Review: Image Quality
Can we have an option where Share > Share for Review has a high-quality view as opposed to the low-res preview (see file attached- Review (left) and Original (right)) please?
15 votesShare for Review is to quickly share a design that is still a work-in-progress with the Reviewer(s) for quick feedback. Since the review opens in a browser for the reviewer, it has to load quickly even on slow networks, that’s why the image quality has been kept low deliberately so that the page loads quickly without long wait times. Using high-res views will slow down the loading of pages in the browser considerably, marring the experience.
Hope this helps.

Share Review not showing online "pins"
The comments are marked on web as "Non Mapped Comments" while in Indesign they´re showed in right places!
The comments are synced "n" times before this momment
43 votesThe issue of “Unmapped Comments” has been fixed.
Please use Share for Review feature and check when you make comments on the web if they are shown on the correct Spread.

Share for Review SYNC Broken
I use "Share" > "Share for Review" on a Program for review by multiple departments for edits. I received notifications of over 200 edits, but upon opening the InDesign file to begin changes, the "Window" > "Comments" > "Review" Panel data is empty and again says "Create Review".
So the connection from my online review and the source InDesign is broken. Additionally, there is no option to save that online version as a pdf to import the comments via that option in "Window" > "Comments" > "PDF Comments"

Share for Review
Share for Review does not seem to be working even after another update.
I sent an invitation by "Invite Only". My client received an email with a link and the only 2 options available for my client are "Sign in with an Adobe ID" – 99% of my clients will not HAVE or NEED an Adobe ID.
The second option is "Enter a password if one has been shared with you." Unfortunately, I was not given the option to set up a password. However, when posting publicly I could.
And lastly, when I update the file (link), there was no…
4 votesIf client does not have Adobe ID and does not want to create one (it’s free to create), then instead of choosing to send an ‘Invite Only’ Share for Review link, designer should send a ‘Public’ link to the reviewers.

Share for Review access settings - Public Link not available
I am trying to use the new Share for Review option. As outlined here, I should be able to switch the access options from invitation only to public which should give me the option to have people without an Adobe account review the content by simply inputting a password for access. However, I cannot switch from invitation only to public as I simply have the invitation only option as a fixed option and no dropdown to choose from. Is there an option somewhere that I need to enable first so I can publicly share these files for review? As of…

page range for publishment in 'share for review' is set by last print/export job
When sharing for review, the published document can be limited to a certain page range, because it takes that setting from the last print/export job. The only workaround is to first reset that range in the print/export window. Then publish for review to see all of the pages.
Being able to select what pages to share (or not) would be a nice feature in the 'share for review' interface. This way, I would not have to make versions, separating artwork ready for review, and artwork that is not.

Share for review
During this pandemic, I'm am trying to use the 'share for review' feature for a book I'm laying out. It is 600 pages, 300 spreads, about 333 MB file. It includes images and text.
I've designed other books -- the printer had no problem with the files
I'm using a Mac with InDesign 15.1.
When I tried to share the file, 4 pages - 2 spreads uploaded. I tried again and 8 pages - 4 spread, appeared for sharing. I didn't choose them, it is what InDesign randomly chose.
As an experiment, I created another file and tried to upload…4 votes -

Share for review annotations not showing up in InDesign
In using the new Share for Review this morning from today's update to v15.1 we did a test document that included some drawing annotations. The comments showed up as expected in InDesign but not the drawing annotations. I have tried toggling on and off the eye in the review panel and nothing happens like it does in the web browser.
