Script | Selection on merged row makes indesign crash
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a new problem with a script I was working on, it is supposed to read every cells I selected and let me apply a cell and paragraph style. It works fine unless my first selection is a merge row and the second one a row without any merge.
so selecting this two rows with this code makes indesign crash (see: rows.png):
try {
var mySelection = app.selection[0];
alert(app.selection[0].contents)
} catch (e) {
alert("error\n" + e.number + ": " + e.message)
}Thanks for your help,
Nicolashere's an example of my selection that crashes (error.png)

Hyperlink causing InDesign to crash
I have an issue in a file that I'm working with where if I scroll to a certain point in the hyperlink panel, my entire InDesign program crashes. I've tried deleting all of the hyperlinks one-by-one, and I noticed that it always crashes when I reach the same point (about 2/3rds down the list).
I think there's a hyperlink that's become an issue within the file, and whenever InDesign tries to show that specific one within the hyperlink panel, it crashes.

Hello,
I am using online document sharing to retrieve comments directly into inDesign.
Unfortunately, the name of the correctors are displayed but their comments are invisible (text crossed out, underlined or added text).
A small blue wheel spins next to the filters icon.
Moreover, since this document sharing online, InDesign crashes every open.

InDesign 16.0.1 can't recover file from crash
Running InDesign 16.0.1 on Catalina. Mac workstation connected SMB to Windows server.
InDesign crashes shortly after working in a different program and returning to InDesign. Report the crash then try to reopen InDesign from doc icon (or CC). It crashes again. Report, reopen from doc icon (or CC, or in applications folder). Get error message that InDesign crashed trying to load the recovery file, can't locate the recovery file. In order to open InDesign I must click "no" to not try to recover the file.
I have reset preferences, created a new workspace (instead of using previous version's saved workspace),…

Hello,
I'm using InDesign 15.1.2 on a brand new Macbook Pro.
Several times a day InDesign crashes. It seems to happen most often when:
- my computer goes into sleep mode and I reawaken itbut it sometimes happens when:
- I copy text from a word document or email, and then try and paste it into a text frame within InDesign.Sometimes it happens for no reason, when I am using another program.
I have spent a lot of time on the Adobe community page trying various solutions but nothing seems to have worked. I have 'problem reports' from…

ID crashes inserting a symbol as index reference.
ID crashes inserting a symbol as index reference.
Not a new problem by the looks of it.
It doesn't matter whether I type a reference, copy and paste it or highlight text and use shortcut keys. ID always crashes if a symbol is the first thing in the index reference.however, if 'Sort by' is used and that doesn't start with a symbol it is okay. But this is only 'useful' when that is relevant, which is not always.

Crash when "fitting frame to content" on an inline-anchored textframe (inline or above line)
Hi,
Last week i noticed that InDesign crashes when I fit the textframe to its contents, when that textframe is anchored as "text" inside another textframe (anchor-option: incline or above line) when it is not separated by paragraph breaks or whitespaces.I have a file that has one textframe for the main column. In it I placed several smaller textframes with more than one column as textelements.
I didn't separate them by a space or linebreak. When fitting one of the smaller frames to its content by double clicking the lower reference point in the middle to get rid of…6 votesThis issue is fixed. No crash in latest InDesign version.

Hyperlink window causing crash/lockup
Hello,
I'm working on a file from February 2020 that contains hyperlinks. Every time I click to use the Hyperlink window to edit/update urls my InDesign locks up. However, when I try this in a new file I created in December, I'm not having any issues with the hyperlinks window/tool.
I'm using the latest version of InDesign CC (16.1).
I open the file, click the Hyperlinks window and the program locks up to where I have to force quit.(Not sure if it matters - I'm adding this comment from my Mac, but I'm trying to do this work on…

Error code: 3 - Cannot save <filename>. The file <DBTMPxxxxxxx> is damaged.
Ever since I updated my system to Mojave 10.14.6, I have been getting an "error code: 3" warning when saving my file in InDesign 16.1.0.20. Tried doing a "Save As" and adjusting the file name slightly, but nothing I've tried has worked yet. I have had to save an IDML and revert to InDesign 15.1.3.
1 voteWith the release of InDesign 2020(15.0.1), we have enhanced our recovery workflow which fixes multiple scenarios of document corruption.
If your file is still not getting repaired in latest InDesign , can you please share the document with Grp-idfile@adobe.com.
Thanks,
