Footnote numbering options for EPUB export
When exporting a single story into EPUB (2 or 3), the footnotes are numbered from 1 to x over all xhtml files with no chance to control their numbering. The footnote numbering options from within InDesign (per page, per section, etc.) should be respected while exporting.
Alternatively there should be some appropriate options in the export panel.

Repeat Grid
I'd love to see the Adobe XD Repeat Grid function redeveloped into InDesign. This would be invaluable to many publication designers that have repetitive layouts. Master Pages are great, but I think if it incorporated the repeat grid, it would increase workflow efficiency.

Advanced HTML5 export camparable to FrameMaker
I need an HTML5 export comparable to FrameMaker: I need all these options and even more. One of the most important one is splitting of HTML pages and automatic creation of a navigation structure based on these headings.

Add Sticky Notes to Incopy like in Acrobat
The Layout and the the Editors work pretty close together in our company. The ability for the Editors to correct their text in the Layoutview is a nice thing for both... Layout and Editors. But we really miss the "Sticky Note" Feature known from Acrobat. When the Editors try to communicate, that they want changes being applied to the Design, thats not really possible with Incopy right now. For example, the editors would love to click the sticky note tool, so that they could place it right next to a picture and add their notes. For exmample: "make this one bigger", "Erase this on", "Please take Picture 678 instead", and so on.
We would really need a sticky note feature.

Gutter control on spreads for facing-pages layout that require bleed on the inside edges
There are several requests for this that don't use correct terminology, so I'm going to add this one to hopefully consolidate votes on this long overdue feature. When working on facing-page projects that are not bound with glue, it is imperative that graphics and color that goes to the inside edge have bleed into the gutter. There is no gutter bleed support for parent pages in InDesign, requiring us to create two spreads with bleed across the gutter from either side to support pages that need that gutter bleed on export. Then we have to separate the pages in the layout so that the gutter is accessible on every page that has graphics or color to the inside edge. This is a massive amount of work for something that should be build into the spreads. We should be able to create facing page spreads with a gutter that we can then bleed our design into. Please, please, please add this! I'm so tired of the workarounds, which require twice as many parent spreads and the constant shuffling of pages to keep track of necessary gutter bleed. I've been using ID since version 1.

Adjust pagenumbers if sheets are hidden
It's a great feature to be able to hide sheets. But, if we do so, the automatic pagenumbers should adjust to the shown pages, not counting the hidden pages as well.

disable launch image
Disable Launch Image
I do not think the launch images in photoshop, indesign and illustrator are culturally sensitive. They should not include any people especially not raunchy females. They should be totally neutral - landscapes, nature, no people please!!13 votes -
Share for Review - Image Quality
Bring the optimized quality of Share for Review images up to the level of acceptable web-based image optimization at 100% size.
I understand the need to optimize images for high-performance quick reviews. However, the current setting is far too low. Upgrading the image quality to an acceptable web-image optimization will help reduce feedback loops with concerns from stakeholders over bad image quality.
In my review workflows using Shared for Review, I am now constantly exporting and sending separate PDFs to reviewers to prove image quality based on concerns from the Share for Review representation.
Please know that the Share for Review feature is well-received with all my clients and I personally think it is an EXTREMELY valuable addition to InDesign. However, creatives and content publishers are sending documents to all kinds of stakeholders in and outside their teams and organizations for review. Many of those stakeholders do not understand the limitations nor should they be expected to. If I have content in an image that needs to be reviewed, that content needs to be clean, legible and optimized at an acceptable on-screen resolution quality.
Please increase the resolution to that on-screen standard.

Select multiple anchored objects
The ability to Shift+click to select multiple anchored objects to be able to make changes to all of them.
One situation this would be useful in is when you have multiple anchored frames for interactive text boxes to update all of their shared properties like font, and font size.

Workspace Sync across devices
Have your Workspace for all Adobe applications saved in your CC account. Like many others, I work off and sign into more than 1 computer (3 in my case). It would be great if I'm signed-in and can see my saved workspace already allocated in the application. Instead of re-tweaking my Workspace manually on every device.
Computers crash, major updates happen, and every-time we lose our settings, just a nice addition to add for the users.
Thanks so much, keep up the good work.

Repackage
If you edit a file in a package with external links, a REPACKAGE option should put all links that are not in the LINKS folder there.
extra; CLEAN PACKAGE should remove all files that are not used in the package.
This would avoid having to make a fresh package after every edit

By providing the flexibility to apply language settings to the entire document.
Hi i have an indesign document and just finished working on it. And i realized that language setting on this document is Turkish. I want to change language all texts in this document to english but I cannot do this all at once. I have to select all the texts one by one and manually to change the language setting. How can I change the language setting of all texts in the document to US english at once? Answer: There is no way at the moment :(
I can click on the text box, select the whole text with ctrl a, and change the language setting from the language section on the top toolbar. But there is not only 1 text box in the document, there are many. It would be great if I could change the language setting in all text boxes in one go.
This feature is important for me because text hyphenation doesnt work good if language is not correct.

Option to add Conditional Text to Paragraph/Character Styles
Would be extremely useful if you could automatically add a condition by applying a paragraph or character style (via data merge or an external Data Management System) to text without having to do a GREP find/change. Would make producing different versions more practical.

Improvements to "space between" feature
Hello, InDesign people!
The new "space between paragraphs using the same style" feature is a wonderful thing, and it is useful, but I feel it could be improved upon. In practice, there may be several different paragraph styles that should be regarded as the "same style" for this purpose. For instance, say I am designing a book with poetry extracts (block quotes) mixed into the main text. Before we had the "space between" feature, I had to make a paragraph style for the first line of a poem (with space before), a second style for the subsequent lines (no paragraph spacing), and a third style for the last line (space after). With the new "space between" feature, one style can accomplish all of this by specifying zero space between lines of the same style. However, in practice, a poem is likely to involve several different styles for differing indents, etc, and so in this case "space between" is not useful in practice. At the very least, a way to say "treat all of these specific styles as the 'same' for the purpose of spacing" would be an improvement.
There are many similar circumstances in which it would be helpful to specify paragraph spacing conditionally depending on what styles precede or follow the given style in context. For instance, I can imagine an extensive implementation that would allow for things like adjusting the spacing around subheads depending on what level of subhead precedes them, etc.
Thanks.
This may overlap with the suggestions in the link below:

Include Spread Rotation in PDF Export and Publish Online
When exporting/publishing as spreads, allow us to "include spread rotation" and display those properly in the online viewer and PDF export.
I have a calendar layout with most of the spreads rotated for proper viewing. I've always exported as spreads and rotated manually in Acrobat for the client but I can't do that when publishing online.
A simple version of this would apply only when exporting spreads ie: where the result of 2 8x10 pages is a single 16x20 page which is then rotated per the ID view settings.
A truly complete solution would need Acrobat/Reader the ability to show actual 2 page spreads vertically, where the result matches my spread layout and rotation in InDesign automatically. This could apply to multipage spreads as well, like a fold-out spread in a magazine, all while still respecting the individual pages in the PDF.
Further advancement could include folding information in the ID layout. That could allow for the export of interactive folding mockups as well as flat layouts for print directly from the same document without additional setup. Imagine a pocket folder layout that automatically exports both the proper looking 9x12 interactive comp for client viewing as well as the 18x16 flat layout for printing without any additional work. WOW that would be pretty cool, right?

Deleting unused paragraph styles in one fell swoop
I highly recommend that Adobe updates a feature to delete all unused paragraph styles in one fell swoop instead of a file by file case.
