Dynamic Spelling Additions
Hi there,
I've lost sleep over this one. So, I'd like to suggest a feature that would be a little more helpful in the future in regards to fixing erros in a document. Here's the problem. As, it happens regularly.
I am provided a document with many highlighted spelling revisions. In the "DynamicSpellingChange" image dynamic spelling highlights all the families last names in a document. And just underneath Victoria Tseng Paepcke, Helen's Neice is spelled wrong.
This is my human error. As I typed this in after sending a revised proof that was already incorrect because I was in a…

How do I get Adobe Flash on a Mac?
How to install Flash Player on your Mac
Here’s how to install Flash Player on your Mac:
- Click the Missing Plug-In button.
- Click on Download Flash.
- This will take you to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ which is a legitimate site – if you ever get taken to a site that is clearly not Adobe be very cautious, it is likely you are being taken to a malicious site.
- Click on Download Now. The download is ~20 MB.
- Wait while the download is initialising.
- You will then see the installer appear in your Downloads folder.
- Double click on the installer.
- Click on Install Adobe…

Live Collaboration Feature
Please add a function to collaborate on one document with multiple users simultaneously. Version Control is one of the biggest tasks on our Indesign projects.

Content to Frame with Live Typography
If there is a fit to frame to content tool. We should get a fit content to frame tool that works with live typography.
I am not sure if this is a feature or not. I am also about to get more into creative coding so I would really appreciate it if you could get back to me with an explanation as to how you automate a feature like that with code.
Thanks for reading this.

Batch Export indb
I would need to have the ability to batch export a folder of books to pdf. The community scripts are not enough—there are features missing.
Also batch export would have to have
– auto update links in documents,
– auto closing and saving (otherwise page numbers are wrong in shared documents).2 votes -
Option to strip out overloaded Mac system fonts like NOTO in font menu
Later Mac OS's install 100's of fonts that cannot be removed. They clog up the Font menus badly. It makes font selection a nightmare. Noto is but one.

Allow choice of right or left page to keep when eliminating page from facing pages master
When downsizing from a master with facing pages to a single page, I'd like the choice of which page to keep instead of the default left page.

Allow upload of alternative PDF for download
An essential option really, to allow a flat non-animated version of the online publication that's being viewed.
As we all know any level of animation or pop-ups elements will end up on the downloadable PDF version making it almost useless.
Unless anyone knows a workaround?

Conditional Formatting
Have at least a subset of style attributes conditional on the preceding style. For example, it would be great to be able to have different Space Before/Space After or Indent/First Line settings for a Heading3 paragraph when it is Heading2 > Heading3 than for Body > Heading3. Or for a paragraph following an inline image. Or change the type size and leading for a pullquote following Heading1 vs deeper in a story. Could be full paragraph styles or just a subset of attributes (I don't know when changing keep options conditionally would be helpful, but why not?)

Archive pages, spreads, artboards, etc. within a file without deleting them for good
Wouldn't it be great if we could "archive" pages or spreads in inDesign (or artboards in illustrator, photoshop)? I want to be able to show options to my clients, and then narrow down those options by archiving pages without actually deleting them. Because sometimes, bless their heart, they want something from one of those already deleted ideas.

Please make live captions work also on anchored images!
Please make live captions work also on anchored images! And when I wait for that - tell us that it is impossible now, beceause I have tried several hours to understand why live captions don't work in my document with anchored images. When I read the user handbooks it doesn't tell me!!!!

group images by page
we would like to have the option to show links or images grouped by page because we have some time same images in 60 pages and we then want to replace them only on specif pages. so instead of doing it one image at a time, we could then just replace the images based on pages.

Please include more options in Check Spelling
If you could please include similar features as the Find/Change button to the Check Spelling option - an ignore/include masters button during a spell check would be particularly useful.

"Split Column" within a table cell
I'd like to be able to use the "Split Column" feature within a table cell. I can do a work around sometimes by creating an extra column and making the middle line invisible, but when I've got three columns above one merged cell, I can't get things centered.

Don't automatically change view/zoom when editing layer visibility of linked graphics
Editing the layer visibility of a linked graphic in InDesign causes the zoom level to be automatically adjusted to fit-to-page. This makes it difficult to see the preview image for small graphics that may be hard to see at the full page zoom level.
If any automatic zoom adjustment is to be made at all (which it should not) it should be to fit the graphic to the window so you can see what you are doing.

Open location from 'Recent files' in explorer or bridge
I normally save my exports to somewhere very close to the INDD file. Would love to be able to open a bridge or explorer window to the location of the files listed in 'Recent files' (the home screen when nothing is open).

Make it faster!
I have 16GB of memory on my graphics card and 128 in my computer, but Indesign only utilises 2GB & 16GB respectively.
I regularly create multi-page documents that need complex vectors, style sheets, table of contents, etc which I cannot create in Illustrator and would slow me down even more if I had to.
I'm also using a 10-core 3.6Ghz i9 processor. I don't know how many cores InDesign uses, but I would like to know if it utilises all of my processor cores. If it doesn't, can you make it do so please.

Please bring back Indesign CS6 feature of Footnote Leading to be at zero so that We can have inline footnotes.
Please bring back the Indesign CS6 feature of Footnote Leading can be made at zero so that We can have inline footnotes. (Multiple vertical footnotes can be made in the same line horizontally to save space). Please see the attached file as an example. Currently, all the CC Indesign versions by default put a space between footnotes vertically (Leading). No matter what it does not allow the multiple footnotes to be in the same line horizontally. That is like deleting a very useful feature and reducing the capabilities of Indesign for Publishing industry formatters like us.
