It is not possible to have unequal inset spacing and corners other than none as they can’t go together.
It is designed this way.—

In the Table Setup dialog, do the following:
In the Row Strokes section (2nd tab), choose Alternating Pattern : Every Other Row and then make the First 1 Rows and Next 1 Rows the exact same settings.
In the Column Strokes section (3rd tab), choose Alternating Pattern: Every Other Column and then make the First 1 Columns and Next 1 Columns the exact same settings.
In the Table Setup section (1st tab), you can set the Table Border as 0mm and Stroke Drawing Order as ‘Row Strokes in Front’.
Most probably this should help you get the results you are after. Try this out and let us know if it helps.

An error occurred while saving the comment eduardo asta commentedIt doesn't work: the strokes are never over the content. Since the original post is from 2019 and it is still unsolved (as many other bugs), it proves Adobe has forgotten to keep updating and improving Indesign.

Every time (and any document) I add a new page in the middle of my book, all pages bellow got messed up: texts, images and all objects inside of the canvas are displaced. It is very annoying.
Please, watch it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uwPOVXEXFLxyFSIlh986P1yBxz4RKpKK/view?usp=sharing
I'm using the 15.1.1 version.

It looks like you may be trying to open files that are shown on the Start screen but are unable to do so.
Please check that the file(s) actually exist at the same location as when they were previously opened/created. If they have been deleted/moved/renamed, etc., the Start screen will continue to show their thumbnails but you won’t be able to open them.
Let us know if this is not the case.

eduardo asta supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment eduardo asta commentedI'm having the same issue with Indesign 15.1.1.
I have an AI file linked into my INDD file and both apps are ON. Any time I update the AI, Indesign plays dead. If I ask Indesign to update it (using the Link menu), its return the following message: "Either the files does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by another application". So let's analyse it: Yes, the file do exist, yes, I do have permission and yes, it is opened on Illustrator. About this last one, having a file linked into an app and both apps ON is a pretty common workflow, not only between AI and Indesign, but among ALL adobe apps.

An error occurred while saving the comment eduardo asta commentedI have a Macbook pro 2019 32MB + BlackMagic EGPU and Indesign is the slower app ever. I also work with Premiere and After Effects and both apps (handling much more heavy work), are 10x faster than Indesign.
Indesign 14.0.3 is fully bugged I guess. the Type tool, when called from the keyboard Y, deselects itself and I can't edit the text in the box. It is a nightmare.

Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while.
We had launched our investigation into the matter to get to the root cause of the problem. As the part of our investigation, we had reached out to many of you personally over email.
We have concluded our investigation and have come up with few findings.1. For many of the users the issue got fixed after updating InDesign to a newer version.
2. For few, the issue was intermittent and is no longer reproducible.
4. For majority of the users, the underlying cause of the performance issue was identified to be related to switching between tools, or other lagsOver the time this thread has become too generic to serve its purpose effectively. As per your feedback and the outcome of our investigation we have created multiple threads to address each root cause separately and effectively.
If you are…

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2022(v17.0.0.96). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

We have concluded our investigation and have come up with few findings.1. For many of the users the issue got fixed after updating InDesign to a newer version.
2. For some, the issue got resolved after disabling a third-party application such as Suitecase fusion etc.
3. For few, the issue was intermittent and is no longer reproducible.
4. For majority of the users, the underlying cause of the performance issue was identified to be related to span columns, cross-references, third party plugin etc.We have created separated threads for these issues and we are now working towards resolving them.
However, over the time this thread…

That's not cool. If I want to have a rounded object with text inside 20px distant from the top and 5 px from the bottom, it should be possible.
