An error occurred while saving the comment Zach commentedAgreed. Conditional text is super useful, especially for large documents used internationally. Not sure why Adobe hasn't developed the functionality here.

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2023(v18.2.1.455). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

An error occurred while saving the comment Zach commentedI'm getting this same problem. InDesign warns Type 1 fonts won't be supported starting next year (2023), but my fonts are all OTF which makes me feel like WTF?

Ever since I updated Creative Cloud, InDesign 2021 has been very unstable. It crashes every day with no pattern -- when closing files, when quitting the program, when moving an object, editing text, returning to the computer after taking a meal break. Adobe has released numerous updates and the issue persists. I've been using InDesign for several years and have never found a version so terribly unstable. It's truly incredible.

This should absolutely be fixed. I've been using InDesign for years including lots of advanced features, but I didn't know for the longest time that the preferences panel mysteriously affects both the program and individual files.
