[ID-4214723]Unable to package files - program freezes creating IDML

Unable to package documents since 14.0.2 x64 update. Freezes on create IDML. When you try to cancel app hangs. Have to crash service to get the app to close.

    me too! I'm using Indesign 2021/2022 on OS Big sur and it is no possible to make the package on files server resident: it crashes the whole MAC . ( On Windows it works 100% )

    I am also having that problem, Indesign has been trying to package a large file for 8 hours now and is still showing Creating IDML. If I push cancel will the rest of the package contents be complete and function properly?

    Mine does the same. I have to force-quit. I have to double-check if the packaged files work, as well as the IDML.
    Needlesstosay, I have links missing in the file, but that shouldn't be an issue, as the computers at my workplace don't get this issue, and they're 2013 iMacs.

    Using M1 Apple Macbook Air, on Monterey.

    InDesign freezes upon packaging files, I have to keep restarting. I see this problem goes back to May 2019, it's Oct 1st 2020 - Any advice?

    I hope this gets fixed soon. The IDML/packaging hangup is costing me a lot of time. There should be an option to NOT create the IDML if you don't need it as well.

    I am also having this issue. The file won't export to IDML, package the IDML or even downsave. Huge issue as my client cannot open the INDD file we are currently working on. Running Mojave 10.14.6.

    Having this problem, too. The first report of it I see appears to be on 5/1/19 but wasn't responded to until 10/4/19. Now it is February 2020, and still no fix? This is a major impediment to my business. I would have expected a quicker response on this basic InD function that so many people use.
