Hi All, thanks for this feature suggestion.
If I understand this correctly the idea here is that you need a faster way to be able to apply Master Pages to the various pages in the document. One use case is that you want to apply a particular master page to Even and Odd pages.
Are there other such scenarios too, where you need more support. It would be helpful if you can mention other such scenarios.
Thanks

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks

An error occurred while saving the comment Andy W commentedMaybe an option for custom page offset and a option to use the current bleed setting (x2) so if a file has 3mm bleed then the pages sit 6mm apart etc and then and option for none.
1. None
2. Use current bleed setting
3. Custom gapI agree with the idea of having the gap shown in normal mode and bringing the pages together in preview mode.
The current era of fast turn around, low volume digital printing has increased the need for this.
Cheers

An error occurred while saving the comment Andy W commentedI don't think this would be an indesign issue.
I have worked at many companies where all indesign files and links are kept on a shared server where multiple people edit these files. I have never experienced an issue with broken links due to shared files (unless someone link images from their desktop). My current workplace has individual logins for each computer (Macs) and those logins are used to connect to the server (Windows) and files are shared constantly.
The links in our indesign files starts with the top level server folder (i.e. DATA/Design/Job/Links) however if I do a file info from Apple Finder the complete file path is indicated (i.e. afp://123.456.78.90/DATA/Design/Job/Links).
Your described situation would drive me insane! I think you may need to liaise with your IT people to resolve this.
Agreed, with documents these days albs to be made with multiple page sizes in the one file some designers can put many different layouts in the one file, I'd like to split these into individual files.
@Karnadhar Boro – your suggestion is great is there is only one layout I want to grab from a file. Very repetitive if there are multiple layouts, and I want separate files for each.
