Hi all,
We tried various scenarios with the attached file and got the following results:
1. Placed the ‘EXIF-Orientation-6.jpg’ file shared in the thread.
-Rotation angle of the content was shown as -90°2. Edited the .jpg file in Photoshop to just change the color and Updated the link in InDesign.
-Rotation angle of the content was changed to 0°3. Then placed this edited file again, as a new link, in InDesign.
-Rotation angle was shown as 0°Are you also seeing the same results?

The InDesign team appreciates your valuable feedback and concerns. These go a long way in helping us make InDesign better for you and update it continuously to cater to evolving user needs. The app bar design was changed as part of these improvement efforts, and will also help us in introducing some modern and exciting functionalities which we have been working on.
While doing this, we have taken care not to remove any existing functionalities which were available in the previous App Bar design. These have only been relocated – either grouped along with similar functionalities (based on results from our user research) or shifted to improve usability (to provide a consistent experience) while working across Creative Cloud apps, especially Photoshop (Ps) & Illustrator (Ai), which are frequently used by InDesign users. We do understand that it takes time & effort in adopting these but we sincerely hope that the…

Fix for this issue is available in the latest InDesign version - InDesign 2023. The fix should solve most of the issues that were seen earlier.
A new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" is introduced in Preferences > Composition dialog. It is turned ON by default for new documents created in ID2023. For documents created in previous InDesign versions, this option is turned off by default - which can be turned ON to see the improved behavior.
Please let us know how the fix is working for you.

Text indent has been changed to be relative to the text wrap boundary, but the tab origin remains the frame inset. In this state, it works as expected for indented lines, but it does not work as expected for bulleted or autonumbered lines.
To completely fix it, the starting point of the tab position must be the boundary of the text wrap.CS5 omachi supported this idea · -

Oh, remove the CC library panel from the dock and close the panel. And you have to reset the workspace. What a tricky way! I did not notice at all.
