    There are users all over the world who do not understand this problem. No wonder. This is because this problem only happened with the Japanese + Mac version of InDesign.
    Since InDesign CC, this problem, caused by the volume format specification, has been plaguing users for years. But to solve it, all they had to do was change the font. InDesign users of the Japanese + Mac version are very grateful to Adobe for accepting this appeal and solving the problem.

    この問題を理解できないユーザーは世界中にいます。当然でしょう。この問題はInDesignの日本語版＋Mac版にだけ発生してたからです。
    InDesign CC以降、ボリュームフォーマットの仕様に原因があるこの問題は、ユーザーをずっと悩まし続けました。しかし解決するにはフォントを変更するだけでよかったのです。この訴えを受け入れ、問題を解決してくれたAdobeに、日本語版＋Mac版のInDesignユーザーはとても感謝しています。

    How to reproduce in more detail.

    1. Make sure the OSAKA font is activated.
    2. Name the indd file "だじづでど.indd".
    3. Export the PDF.
    -- PDF/X-4
    -- Add page information
    4. An error is displayed and the file name of the page information is garbled.

    Japanese version (English UI) InDesign error dialog.
    The cause is the missing glyphs of the Osaka font in the PDF page information.

    Japanese:

    原因はPDFページ情報におけるOsakaフォントのミッシンググリフです。

    About matters that are not reproduced in the environment of the InDesign team.
    Are OSAKA fonts installed in the environment of the InDesign team? OSAKA font is a sans-serif font. If the PDF page information is a serif font, the OSAKA font is not installed.

    InDesignチームの環境で再現されない件について。
    OSAKAフォントはInDesignチームの環境にインストールされていますか？ OSAKAフォントはサンセリフ系フォントです。 PDFページ情報がセリフ系フォントの場合、OSAKAフォントはインストールされていません。

    When the OSAKA font disabled in Font Book, the PDF page information will be printed in Kozuka Mincho font. No error occurs and no garbled.

    Font BookでOSAKAフォントを使用停止にすると、PDFページ情報が小塚明朝フォントで印刷されます。 エラーは発生せず、文字化けもありません。

    This occurs on both Mac and Win.
    When the preview display is abnormal, the PDF is also exported abnormally.
    The workaround is to not display the preview. However, this is not practical.

    Live screen drawing was implemented in CS2 when I looked it up. From that time on, the phenomenon that the option key did not respond had occurred.

    At some point, the delay interval for live screen drawing may have been slightly reduced.

    Based on internal investigation and customer comments, we have concluded that the issue got fixed in InDesign 15.0.2 and that issue happens with InDesign 15.0.1 version only.

    Please start a new thread in case you see the issue happen with InDesign 15.0.2

    Hi all,

    We tried various scenarios with the attached file and got the following results:

    1. Placed the ‘EXIF-Orientation-6.jpg’ file shared in the thread.
    -Rotation angle of the content was shown as -90°

    2. Edited the .jpg file in Photoshop to just change the color and Updated the link in InDesign.
    -Rotation angle of the content was changed to 0°

    3. Then placed this edited file again, as a new link, in InDesign.
    -Rotation angle was shown as 0°

    Are you also seeing the same results?

    Append. This bug should not be fixed with a minor version. Should be done in a major version.

    In rare cases, PDF files exported from InDesign have defects such as missing images (alerts are not displayed). The cause is thought to be PDF output in the background. Therefore, users add “DisableAsyncExports.txt” to avoid PDF file failure. This is a very cumbersome operation. Users have been waiting for years to be easily turned off in the background task panel.

    Japanese:
    InDesignから書き出されたPDFファイルは、まれに画像が欠ける等の不良が発生します（アラートは表示されません）。その原因はバックグラウンドでのPDF書き出しであると考えられています。そのためユーザーはPDFファイル不良発生を回避するために「DisableAsyncExports.txt」を追加します。これはとても面倒な操作です。ユーザーはバックグラウンドタスクパネルで容易にOFFにできることを長年の間待ち続けています。
