You can add the object having the gradient swatch to the CC Libraries as a ‘Graphic’ in Illustrator. Then you can choose Place Linked/Place Copy in CC Libraries to use that object in InDesign. At this time, it is yet not possible to add Gradient/Pattern swatches to CC Libraries in Illustrator, so you have to add the object to the CCLib and then place that object in other apps like InDesign.

Yes, thanks, I'm aware of that, and the object I shared was from my CC Library. I have been doing what you suggest. I don't use gradients that much, but in this rare case, I had to apply it to large type. My workaround was to convert the type to outlines, then paste the gradient object inside. However, then the type is no longer type, and I'm unable to create an accessible PDF. This is a rare instance, I admit, but you advertise the CC Library as a way to seamlessly link CC apps. I see why you can't share patterns, as ID doesn't have that capability – but both apps share a gradient palette, and I see no reason not to allow them to talk to each other. Thanks for the quick response.

Illustrator had this issue – now it's migrated to InDesign. Seriously, the problem with all these updates are these silly bugs with the most basic commands. Adobe tries to wow us with new features, while letting core commands lapse. Please fix this.

    Hi everyone,

InDesign provides an option to export and import User Settings, providing users with a smooth and enhanced experience to restore their custom settings if needed. The feature is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.3.0.058)

We have recently started development work on Convert PDF to INDD. Going forward, we will keep adding more functionality and refining it.

The feature is available as a Beta feature in InDesign 19.5 Beta version, available via the CCD app.

Note: For now, it is available only when InDesign's install language is English (North America or International).

Please provide us feedback on this Beta feature. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Definitely support this one – the fact that column rules do not extend the length of the text frame means that they have irregular lengths throughout a document, which isn't a design standard. We should have the option to A. Extend to frame height or B. Extend to text height, similar to the regular Rules, which can be based on column width or text width. As it stands now, I have to work-around by adding empty lines to extend the rules – not a clean solution! Thanks for implementing a feature that I have been requesting for years (albeit imperfectly).
