Master page bug
When I try to adjust a master page in Indesign cc2019 (14.0.1) it makes a real mess. It used to be that if I had, for instance, a master page with a 6p margin on all sides and including threaded text boxes across the spread, if I changed the outer margin to 7p instead, the text box would automatically fit the new space. Now, the text box box turned into a very tiny box in the inner margin that has no relation to the margins I have set. In addition, other boxes on the page which are not part of…

Adobe InDesign 14 always launches on a wrong monitor out of two.
All good with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc, but Indesign keeps opening every time on a wrong monitor no matter what. Plus, even when you drag it to another display, all the dialog boxes keep appearing on a different monitor. Moreover, it resets your workspace to Essentials every time and it take you some time to set it up again after start. Annoying and counterproductive

Export defaults are not sticky anymore after update
When you hit Ctrl+E it used to use the last [pdf] export profile that had been used, but now it's always 'Adobe (Interactive) PDF' now. Might sound like a minor issue, but when you have to go through lots of pages one by one it just a massive waste of time going each time through File-Adobe PDF Presets-Needed One (using mouse).
Can't see where it can be backed? Any suggestions?

p.s. Thought it could be resolved through Keyboard shortcut, but apparently you can't make it for a specific preset, and Ctrl+E [as mentioned] is not "sticky" anymore

Landing page form doesn't work when accessed by Publish Online link
But, the form does work when accessed by ePub and PDF.
I suspect this issue is with the landing page, which my client had another contractor create, and the page is unsecure, FWIW.
But, it just seems odd, that the form works (accepts and sends user info) coming from ePub and PDF, but does not when coming from the Publish Online link on browsers Firefox and Chrome. Safari does work.
Any ideas?

Won't open some .indd files
CC 2019 14.0.1
Some .indd files will not open. They've opened previously, and SOME very similar files will still open. When I doulble-click or open from the ID app, nothing happens. No errors. Just nothing. Tried copying files to desktop or duplicating/re-naming with no luck. Tried copying and changing extension to .idml, still no luck. Rebooted my machine, same. Deleted preferences, same. Uninstalled and re-intalled the app, same.1 vote -
Unable to type the í character
When typing, inDesign doesn't receive the í character. On the Hungarian keyboard the í can be entered as AltGr+J. When typing the text, and pressing AltGr+J, sometimes the í doesn't appears, but the Paragraph options dialog pops up. Pressing one more time the AltGr+J types the í. This is a problem in the newer versions, in the CS6 version this wasn't a problem.

Object distribution disapeared from Advanced Settings
Even object distribution has been removed from the Advanced layout and can only be seen in Essentials or Essentials Classic. I updated InDesign 2019 on 02/02/2019 and this issue suddenly appeared.

Quadclick to edit text in grouped textframes doesn't work anymore
(14.0.1 x64, Windows):
Switching from CS6 to CC.
The Task: you have a group of items. The groupd also contains a textframe with some text. You want to edit this text. There is a change in the way you can "click-into" the group and into the text edit mode.In CS6
- you doubleclicked on the textframe in the group (that selected the textframe in the group), and you doubleclicked again onto the text to get to edit the text (textcursor). It was fast. Basicly a quad-click.In CC:

Problem aligning workspace elements on second screen 14.0.1
Working on a second screen with my MacBook Pro laptop, elements of the workspace are not moveable. Please see image to understand the moveable points on those tabs appear to be off-screen and are not on the laptop either. I've tried numerous workspaces, but this problem persists.

Thumbnail page numbers does not show at the bottom of pages tab.
It has a easy work around of extending the tab in documents that are not too long, or counting the page numbers, anyway it's an annoying UI problem.

To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

Importing Microsoft Word files doc. and .docx
Creative Cloud and Office 364 is up-to-date (although this issue happened before the upgrade so it has something to do with the import filter for .docx files into InDesign [this is the first occasion]).
While importing a .docx file, revisions from the word file appeared in the layout text. I noticed as I started to typeset. Scary.
Checked the Word file, upon Select All, references in the text were highlighted in a darker gray. There was no extra text appearing and revisions were all approved and accepted.

Problem with drop shadow exposure when placing from Illustrator into Indesign
I am using the latest version of Indesign (14.0.1) and Illustrator (23.0.1).
When placing a .ai file with transparency in Indesign and then making a drop shadow (in Indesign), the transparant parts of the object has the drop shadow above it, instead of beneath... :01 vote -
CC Library 2019 - Add new item and change it name
When I add item to CC Library 2019, and try change it name - all text (with lag!) is select and I losing my previeus text, becouse I still typing.

resize object works rarely
It's already 2019. I've been reading comments from 2015 about this same issue. I downloaded the most current version of InDesign and unbelievably I still cannot resize an object on my MacbookPro by clicking on the shift button. It works occasionally (for some odd reason). This is totally ridiculous. I read dozens of complaints about this from 2015 and on. Seriously, Adobe? You cannot fix this issue once and for all.

Properties Panel Missing in Indesign CC 2018 (v 14.0)

I'm on a Windows 10 Ent, Adobe Suite CC; Indesign 2018.I have restarted the PC; deleted opm.db; tried different documents. BTW this is the first time I was using Indesign. I am working with the Adobe Tutorials.

Link metadata not exporting in large document
InDesign 14.0.1 x64
I have an 1100 page document that is primarily legal code and guidance, with several hundred cross-references to text anchors. The idea being that you can jump around easily in the document to get info on referenced code information.
When I export to an interactive PDF, not all of the links work. I'm not able to predict which links will and won't work before export, but once exported those links will.not.work. When I check the PDF link info, the correct link information is there, it simply doesn't work. I can edit the link by manually selecting it…

Preferences: Preview image not working
My Italian InDesign release doesn't create a Hi Res preview image.
In the preferences I've flagged the "always save preview image with the document", Pages: "all the pages" and Preview dimensions: "very big 1024x1024", but the software doesn't work: when I try to have a look at the documents with Adobe Bridge I can see a low res preview, while with ID Util (an utility for OSX Quick Look) I can't see any preview of the pages of the document. Color Managment plugin (CS6)
Upon getting the new Apple update for the MacOS Mojave (version 10.14.2) Most of my programs from my Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, including, but not limited to Indesign CS6 are no longer supported, do to the Update not running anything less the 64-Bit (intel).
