To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

Toolbar is unusable.
Please help. See image. No Tools are selectable for use.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. But nothing changed. I had to revert to CC 2019 to complete my work. My entire toolbar is unusable and not highlighted like its supposed to be. I'm in the middle of a deadline.

refresh all stories not working correctly
InDesign 2020 v15.0.3 running on Mac Catalina.
When I type command-option-/ to refresh stories the refresh seems to go into a toggle mode swapping back and forward between correct and incorrect layouts. Very difficult to know if the correct version is working. Similar to the 2017 bug where table headers disappeared but even WORSE as the usual fix does not work consistently. Have to manually check EVERY page of document before sending to client as layout goes crazy.1 vote -

Hi. I'm running on InDesign 15.0.3 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5
I was editing a file when suddenly InDesign crashed. A crash report was submitted and no harm was done. I proceeded to open InDesign and everything seemed fine with one exception. When I go File > Open, the Open a File window color theme does not match the interface color theme I've chosen (which is set to Dark). I tried changing to all the other color themes and it remained the same. Then I went into my OS system preferences and made sure my appearance has Dark chosen for all menus.
Still the same. I then uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign. Still the same issue. I went into Ae, Ps, Ai, and Photoshop was the only application that had the correct matching theme. I knew this UI design wasn't intentional because I used these applications daily and this all happened a day ago after InDesign had crashed. Attached are screenshots of the issue. Please review and advise. Thank you.

can't delete all OR multiple missing links at once?
break, remove, delete all OR multiple missing links at once? I thought it used to be able to do this -- I can't find it anywhere in 2019 or 2020.
If not, why the heck not? It's obviously a useful feature. And I can't find anything anywhere using multiple search engines.
and NO I do not want to watch a video that may or may not answer the problem -- I want to scan a page of text & images to see if it is relevant since no titles appear -- they're all about updating or repairing.
I want to remove/delete every missing link AND the image frame for the missing link ALL at one time, batch remove, batch delete -- whatever the terminology is. All at once.

Modifier keys for transform not working
Transforming a selection normally can be influenced by holding down Shift and/or Command to respectively Constrain Rroportions and choose to Scale from center.
But in InDesign 2020 on Mac OS Catalina this stopped working. Maybe due to a system setting (no antivirus is active at the moment).
Does anyone know how to get back this essential functionality?

When reopening an iD file, it is impossible to select and modify the text inside the text boxes.

Live Preflight reporting a false error in linked indesign docs
Because of a crazy proofing process, when I put together a magazine, I create all the stories in individual indesign docs and then place the indesign doc into a "main" doc when they are finished. Preflight is flagging every placed indesign doc as having low resolution photos. When I open that doc to fix the issue, all the images are the correct high resolution and nothing is flagged in their preflight. Im worried Im going to miss a real issue.
- Im using Indesign 15.0.3
- Create an indesign doc with images that are high res, place it into another indesign doc, set the preflight to indicate low res images.
- If the placed doc has no preflight errors, the main doc shouldnt have any preflight errors
- The placed indesign doc is flagged for low res images
- Screen shot of preflight of a live page and the same page placed in another doc.

Freeze after using default New Hyperlink to URL
(I didn't see a category for Freeze. I figure Crash is pretty close.)
In InDesign 15.0.3 on Windows 10:
I had just finished inserting a hyperlink by selecting Chess.com, bringing up the New Hyperlink panel (with the 'To URL' option up), and pressing Enter.
After waiting 15 minutes, it was still hung.
It was the only app running.
When I right-clicked on the InDesign icon on the taskbar and clicked 'Close window', a dialog box popped up saying, "Save changes to the Adobe InDesign document "16 - Glossary.indd" before closing?
I clicked 'Yes'.
It closed that dialog box and popped up with an alert saying, "Cannot save "16 - Glossary.indd".
Repeated twice. Same results.
Then I clicked 'No'.
It closed out the document, then the "Save changes box popped up again."
When I clicked 'Yes' there, InDesign closed down.When I launched InDesign again, it pretended it had loaded my standard workspace ("David's"), but hadn't. It didn't load it until I chose Windows > Workspace > Reset David's.
The problem did not reproduce.

New Document Window Zoomed/Cropped
New document window opens zoomed in.
Some options for opening a document (right hand side) are not visible and can't be selected as they are off-screen.

Bug to open Indesign : page failed to load
I tried twice to install Indesign with my 7 days free but when I open it, it says me this message :

Text disappears after hitting 'Accept' in PDF comments
ID 15.0.3
Just started getting our client to use PDF Comments (instead of printing, writing on, then B&W scanning, then emailing back), I've imported the comments, then hit 'Accept' over the text amends he's made, the text then deletes/disappears. There's no styling or rules or anything else applied, it's just straight text.
Screen shot had 4 price points on, but after hitting accept, it's gone. If I change the price manually and leave any original text (to see what happens) such as the $ symbol, then hit 'Accept', the manually altered text stays, but the $ disappears.

BUG: spell-checker not automatically applied after pasting text
When pasting text into a new frame, the correct language (german 2006 in my case) for spellchecker is selected, but not applied to the new text. I need to select the the text and choose a different language for spell-check and then change back to the correct language, then it works.
A pain in the a**, if you have to copy-n-paste many snippets from different documents to single frames.
