Linked PDF images not exporting to PDF correctly
InDesign (16.2.1), Windows 10
Logos saved as PDFs and placed in an InDesign file appear with a gray vertical line on the right side of the image frame when the file is converted to PDF. There is no stroke or fill on the image frame; further, I checked a PDF with the same PDF logo in it that I created a month ago and it did not have the line. The line appears when the PDF is printed.
We found that reverting back to v16.1 resolved the issue. Also, relinking a JPG or TIF of the logo worked in 16.2.1, but obviously less efficient.

New Bug Indesign 16.2.1 | Contours conversion error (inside/outside aligned)
This bug seems to only affect older InDesign documents and graphic elements from them that were created before the update to 16.2.1. The bug can NOT be reproduced in completely new 16.2.1 documents with newly created elements!
What happens:
For example, if you create a circle with the dimensions 200X200mm and a 10mm thick outline, this results in a circle with the dimensions
210X210mmBut if you now change the contour orientation from center to inside, the dimensions change unproportionally in height:
Instead of 200 x 200 mm the circle becomes quasi
an "egg" 200 x 199.999 mmIf you now set the contour to 8mm, the element becomes proportional again.
However: if the contour orientation is now changed again from
"Aligned inside" to "Aligned outside", a conversion error happens again.Instead of the dimensions 216 x 216 mm
the dimensions are now 216 x 215.999 mm.In these cases, the dimensions cannot be corrected by direct input in the control palette or by clicking on the arrow keys!!!!!
If you enter 216 mm via direct input, 215.999 mm stubbornly appears.
If you click on the arrow keys, nothing happens in the height value! But if you change the width value now, if you have coupled the proportions (by means of the lock)
from 216 mm
to 216.001 mm
and with each desperate click further 216.002 mm;
and further. ...,003/...,004 !!!!Very very annoying!!!!!!!! We are the BORG! Resistance is futile!
ATTENTION.
This rounding error also occurs with proportional scaling with the selection tool and can be transported via copy and paste even into completely new created InDesign(16.2.1) documents. Great. Or!?As I said: In newly created documents with newly created graphics in Indesign 16.2.1 the bug cannot be reproduced. At least not so far ...
Unfortunately, this means for already existing documents from previous Indesign versions, - also because the bug can be scaled - , watch out like ****!
Keep your nerves! Even if it is colossally annoying!!!
Well! At least the other contour bug is fixed now.
Instead we have a new one!Really super ...
is not this!Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

BUG : Red panels and shifted elements
It appears randomly, often when I open a second ID file, the first opened get some red panels and all the elements are shifted.
The only way to solve this for now is to close the document and reopen it.Here is the link to the ticket on Adobe Support Community I made earlier (it contains a video showing what is happening) : https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/indesign-v-16-2-1-display-bug-shifted-elements/m-p/12053732#M430155

InDesign 16.2.1 completely broken (Big Sur)
16.2.1 completely broken/unusable on Big Sur. View continually jumps around and fractures, whether you're interacting with the program or not. The moment you zoom/drag to the view you want, it jumps and fractures to another view. Had to revert.

InDesign 16.2.1 + Mojave still missing Create New Folder (cmd+shift+N) and Show Original (cmd+R)
Adobe please fix this issue. It very frustrating that you can not create folder inside open/save window dialog with a shortcut. Every other program allows that. Am I the only one that is using keyboard shortcuts? This bug is there now for about half a year. Is it really so hard to fix this? Pleeeeeease.

Spell Check keeps defaulting to Polish.
I need to spell check my document but none of the words are in the dictionary. The spell check dictionary keeps defaulting to Polish even when I change it to English. I have set it as English US in every place I can find but it keeps defaulting to Polish for spell check.
Help.

Handling error sizing with frame with contour (centered/outside).New bug!? Frames with contour: Are now shifted into each other after simult
Scaling with undesirable erroneous result:
Affects frames whose outline is either:
A. centered or
B. aligned to the outside of the frame
(Frames where the contour is aligned on the inside of the frame are not affected by this error. There the scaling still works correctly as desired).Recently, such frames (with a contour A/B) shift into each other undesirably after simultaneous resizing (see screenshot) and lose their original arrangement to each other!
I don't know with which version this new bug appeared,
but it is annoying and makes work slower again. With Illustrator the error does not occur. There it still work as before also with Indesign!
Please Adobe quickly correct. To correct that manually, whether with illus with lines or picture frames costs unnecessarily much time and can also quickly lead to errors in final artwork!

No frame edges for lines or ankerpoint visible anymore?
Problem: Line objects no longer have "frame edges" in the normal view! Lines without line thickness, white lines (which do not lie over a background), individual nodes are thus invisible in the layout!
To find slipped lines again or to find several rest fragments like single nodes again becomes a patience and search game!
The (line-) or frame edges appear only if you either select everything or if you move the mouse over the line or the single node randomly (mouseover). Simple is different!
This was not always so! No idea when this was changed! But it was a very bad decision in any case!!! This does not make working with lines easy. But nerve-wracking and time-consuming.
Time consuming and layout though, are not a good combo.
This reminds me somehow of QuarkXpress! Please Adobe, re-enable line edges via the frame edges option!!!!
