  3. Character Alternates Contextual Menu not working in InDesign with Hebrew Support

    Note the following checkbox:

    Preferences > Advanced Type > Type Contextual Controls > Show for Character Alternates, Fractions, Ordinals and Ligatures

    If checked, whenever a character is selected a contextual menu with alternates should appear (if supported by the font, of course).

    It's working in the English (International) version, but not in the English (Hebrew Supporting) version.

  4. All InDesign 15.0x EXTREMELY SLOW

    All InDesign 15.0x is EXTREMELY SLOW, almost unusable.
    I had to go back to version 14.03 to be able to work. This is on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, v1909. It takes minutes to paste a picture.
    Something has gone wrong in the Adobe world!

  5. PDF Comments

    I really like this feature and it is a big benefit to my workflow. However, I find the ability to cut or copy from the comments virtually impossible. Would be great if you guys could make this aspect more user-friendly.

  6. Alt text not appearing for images across spreads

    in ID 2020, image across double-page spreads will generate an alt-text error when exported to accessible PDF. This problem goes away when saved as IDML and opened in ID 2019.

  7. Major performance issues in 15.0.2 with multiple large documents open

    I'm on a Windows laptop with a Core i7, 16 gb of ram and a dedicated GPU. Up until the 15.0.2 update there was some hitching and slowdown with these large files (and I noticed a weird bug where hitting T to use the Type tool doesn't actually change the tool) but now editing text can take up to 10 minutes with more than one file open. I can't make a screencast at the moment since I had to reinstall 15.0.1 to complete the project on time but the filesize we're talking about is 50-75mb, ~60 pages or so with…

  8. proportional scaling

    When I click and drag to re-size a text box or picture box, the proportions are constrained even though I'm NOT holding shift, and the lock button next to width and height is NOT selected.

    Just started today. I've shut down and re-started my computer. I've closed and re-opened InDesign. I've downloaded the most recent update for InDesign.

  9. Lagging/text doubling when changing paragraph styles

    When changing paragraph styles the remaining text moves, but kind of doesn't refresh without me clicking away from the frame with the cursor or zooming in. What happens is I get double text which is confusing. Crashing is happening too at this point.

  10. unasked for font changes in 15.0.2

    It isn't so much an idea as a major problem. I upgraded to 15.0.2 yesterday and now fonts are being changed involuntarily and when I go into find font, I can't change them back. The names say they are there but the file looks like ****. I've gone back to InDesign CC 2019 to work, because I am completely stuck in CC 2020.

  12. Zoom Shortcuts Won't Work

    The shortcuts for zooming in and out will not work (Ctr l+ +/-) very frequently. I have to quick the program every time.

    Latest version of ID...

    A MP3 file placed into ID with On page load selected in the media panel and placed anywhere in the layers panel, or even alone on a page with no other objects, audio does not play On Page Load when exported to Publish Online, plays fine if you create a button and have that button play the file though.

  14. Bring back title bar icons from CC 2018

  15. 15.0.1 doesn't find fonts in document fonts folder

    If I open a document that has a Document fonts folder [in the same folder as the document itself], InDesign 15.0.1 consistently fails to find those fonts or let me select them. So the document opens showing all those fonts as missing and there's no way to fix the problem.

  16. InDesign 2020: crashing, undo doesn't work, missing fonts, text wrap is broken, so many bugs

    The Undo bug is back. I tried to undo some text (in a table) and it reverted the document back to the previous save and then crashed.

    On re-opening, ID complains that it can't find my installed fonts that I used in the document. They show up in the document, it just complains that they are not there. These are fonts that I bought and installed, so I know they are available.

    I have also been having problems with text wrap not working half the time. I set a box (I've tried both image and text boxes) to text wrap…

    As per the customer, the issue got resolved by uninstall and re installation of InDesign 2020.

  17. idlk lock files cause SharePoint to stop syncing

    I am experiencing exactly this issue (see link below).

    I don't understand how you have ignored so many user requests and done nothing about this issue in nearly 7 years!

    2. press »W« while document is opened
    3. text on page shoud be eaqual in preview and normal view
    4. text in preview and normal view are not eaqual. (Text and formats were not adjusted between the view changes.)

  19. Indesign link

    ndesign links all look fine in links folder. None missing. Next day when I open the file I get this message when exporting to PDF. Have to relink when already linked. Or if that doesnt work. Resave photoshop file and then appears perfect in indesign

  20. primary text frames threading is not honored on document pages

    1. Adobe InDesign 15.0.1 x64 (Windows 10)
    2. Facing pages document. I create a master page that includes two text frames per page--creating a two column spread on each page. I designate the leftmost frame as the primary text frame, and then manually link it to the frame just to its right. That frame is then linked to the leftmost frame on the right side page, and that one is linked to the frame furthest to the right.
