Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while; we really appreciate your support!
Our investigation suggests that one of common reasons for the problem is that certain software (mostly antivirus and other security applications) and browser extensions happen to enable “Secure Keyboard Entry” on Mac machines due to which some keys such as Shift key in this case do not perform the desired action in InDesign.
For now I request you to follow the below provided KB doc for the quick workaround of the problem.
https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/features-do-not-work-keyboard-keys-mac.htmlIn the comments section many of the users have confirmed that disabling Webroot SecureAnywhere (a security app) has resolved the issue for them. Please note that, the problem may not be related to a particular software; there could be a different application or antivirus which might be causing the problem by enabling Secure Keyboard Entry on Mac.

I am having the same issue on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - did not experience this issue previously on my desktop. It also hides the bottom of my swatches panel (can't scroll or see tools at bottom of swatches panel), and hides the thumbnails of my master pages in the pages panel. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tara Trigg commentedI used to be able to paste a grouped object (for example, an image with a bit of text overlayed on it, banner style) into a graphic cell in a table. Currently this is not working - I can put a regular image (just a linked image) into a graphic cell, but as soon as I try to "paste into" a copied grouped object, it does not even offer paste into as an option.
I gather this functionality was removed while fixing a different issue - but it's something we use regularly at my company.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tara Trigg commentedHi Aman,
This is definitely something we use frequently - is this functionality something that can be resurrected?Tara Trigg shared this idea · -
