Problems with punctuation when exporting Hebrew files to epub
Using Indesign V.19.5 on a Mac OS Sequoia V15.0.1
When exporting a Hebrew document the punctuations move to the beginning of the sentences. I am unable to upload this book to an online shop. Had been in touch with Adobe support in the past but the issue remains.

interactive rollovers
The Latest version of Indesign (20.0) has some bugs with rollover buttons in the EPUB Interactivity preview.
Some rollover buttons work (buttons with basic changes made in the rollover state ie font/colour).
Some rollover buttons do not work (buttons with different images placed in each rollover state) THE ROLLOVER STATE ALWAYS SHOWS, THE NORMAL STATE NEVER SHOWS.
The 'publish online' documents work fine, this bug ONLY occurs with the EPUB interactivity preview in Indesign.

scrolling text frame
When publishing my file online, a gap appears in the text within the scrolling text frame. (see attachment) The gap seems to be aligned to the place where the text hits the bottom of the container frame. There are no extra characters causing this gap in the text. I had the same issue with a document a year ago, but it looks like this bug is still there.
Version: Indesign 2025
Steps to reproduce issues:
•Paste longer text box into container box.
•Align content to top left.
•Use overlays panel, choose "Scrollable frame," Scroll direction: vertical, Initial content position: Upper…1 vote -

ePub 2.0.1 export creates invalid ePub files
InDesign creates incorrect ePub in latest version (19.5) when exporting reflowable ePub 2.0.1.
This is the result of any ePub generated with InDesign from the Draft2Digital Epub validator:
- ERROR(RSC-005): /OEBPS/content.opf(2,105): Error while parsing file: attribute "xml:lang" not allowed here; expected attribute "id"
The "xml-lang=" attribute should not be removed from the "package" tag, as it is not in the ePub 2.0.1 standard.
- ERROR(RSC-005): /OEBPS/cover.xhtml(8,38): Error while parsing file: element "figure" not allowed anywhere; expected element "address", "blockquote", "del", "div", "dl", "h1", "h2", "h3", "h4", "h5", "h6", "hr", "ins", "noscript", "ns:svg", "ol", "p", "pre", "script", "table" or "ul" (with xmlns:ns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"…

If a user selects 'allow viewers to Search and Copy text in the published document' when publishing online, all the hyperlinks stop working
When publishing online, if a user checks the box, 'allow viewers to Search and Copy text in the published document', all the hyperlinks stop working properly. If you're lucky, a link may work the first time you click it, but then it won't work if you click it again (Latest version of INDD on a Mac).

Publish Online: if forbidden character in the document name, the name has to be filled in again
To me it’s okay that “special characters” are not allowed in the title of a "publish Online" document.
But if a user gets this message, his/her title is completely deleted and he/she has to fill out the title again. Although there’s maybe only one forbidden character in it.
Annoying. Any chance to change this?

html footnote
I have the problem that the export of HTML from InDesign CC24 spits out a completely different structure for the footnotes, now the footnotes are a ordered list, even if the lists are output in text during export.
Please find attached screenshots of CC23 and CC24.2 votes -

Page navigation counter resets for each chapter
When exporting a reflowable EPUB from InDesign (19.4), the "Page Navigation" checkbox in Export Options → General generates accessible and usable doc-pagebreak markers and corresponding page link entries in a TOC.
The minor issue I'd love to see resolved is that the ID counter of page numbers resets back to 1 with every chapter/file when exporting a .indb Book file, making all page numbers mismatched from Chapter 2 and forward.
Technically, the page links "work" from the TOC because they link to both a unique file and a unique marker within the EPUB. But the page ID#s don't match the…

Reflowable EPUB3: "Page Navigation" export option adds a space inside hyphenated words at page breaks
Version of InDesign: 19.4
steps to reproduce
- create a new InDesign file
- add a text frame to the blank page
- add enough text so some words are hyphenated at the page breaks for the next pages
- export to epub3
- enable "Page Navigation" on EPUB export
Expected result
Page navigation markers are added without interrupting the hyphenated words at the page breaks.Actual result
When using the "Page Navigation" export option for reflowable EPUB exports, InDesign adds a <span> and </span> tag pair with a blank space character in the HTML export instead of simply dropping the soft hyphen that was…

When creating a document using Publish Online, there are several pages with graphical issues / glitches that aren't reflected in the original working file. We would like a fix for this please! I've got the published link below so you can A-B it against some of the attached screenshots from the original working file.

Problem with endnote formatting when converting to EPUB
I was converting a print book file to an EPUB using the 19.4 updated version of Indesign. The print file had footnotes on every page.. In the conversion options box, I selected the option to convert footnotes to endnotes, but the formatting of the numbers in the EPUB were not consistent. Each footnote number that was on a new page in the original Indesign files was bigger than the other numbers (see screenshots). To attempt to fix the problem, I converted the footnotes to endnotes in the actual Indesign file before exporting to EPUB. This fixed the numbering issue but…

Password protect bug
The new password protect feature worked fine on the 25th April.
However I've noticed a bug on a document I was testing today 27 April. The same document was showing a 'access denied' page though would allow me to see page past page 1.
Page 1 would not load.
The same thing happened on a newly uploaded version of that document.
The document has 16 pages with animation to the first page.
This error happened across safari and chrome browsers.
The document works fine when re-uploaded without password protection.2 votes -
Publish Online does not zoom in/out or change orientation properly on mobile
I am using InDesign 19.3, and have been using Publish Online to create dozens of magazines in digital format. I have just realized, however, that when viewing them on phones (either Apple or Android), the orientation switches are klunky and zooming in/out does not work very well. We do have the code embedded in a simple frame so that it can be branded with our logo. That should not make a difference, however. This problem seems to go far back in the forums and there have been no improvements or updates over time. Is there anything in the pipeline to…

Hide spread does not work with publish online
InDesign v 19.0 - Publish Online
I welcomed the fairly new 'Hide Spread' option, which is long overdue. But unless this is a bug, I am astonished that the hide spread feature does not work when you use the Adobe Publish Online option!?
I think the initial message said the hidden pages will be excluded when exporting (to PDF I presume), but I assumed it would also work when using the Publish Online option!
But my experience publishing online just now shows me the hidden pages are always included. I changed paste board set-up to 'Digital Publishing' in case that…1 vote
