[BUG] Export file to remote server cause Indesign & Finder crash
Indesign 18.1 on Ventura 13.0
If I export a file (PDF, JPG, ...) on remote location and then click on it in finder, InDesign and Finder crashes and I must restart computer.
But if I export to local location, everything works fine.So now I must export local and then copy exported file to our remote share server. :(

Indesign crashes when pressing the hot keys for copy
Indesign 18.0 (Apple Silicon/Intel)

Macbook Pro (16 Inch, 2021)
Chip Apple M1 MaxBrand new Macbook Pro, brand new installation of Indesign. It crashes every time I press hotkeys for copy. When it re-opens it crashes again. Everything is delayed and slow when I reopen, so I save, close Indesign and re-open. I get a good 5-10 minute run and it crashes again. Crashed 10 times today.

Display Performance view high quality crashing
When viewing an indesign document when the Display performance is set to "High Quality"indesign often crashes. Even when it's just a single object.

InDesign crashes/freezes on Quit
When quitting from MacOS Dock (right-mouse click on the icon), Indesign crashes like most of the time.
5 votesThere are many internal as well as external factors that can cause the InDesign application to crash/freeze/hang.
We would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

InDesign crashes when deleting pages from multiple files
This doesn't happen on every single file, but it happens probably once a week or so. I will need to delete anywhere from a couple pages to a couple hundred pages in an InDesign file, and when I try to delete those pages, InDesign will freeze and crash.
The option in Preferences to add pages to the end of the Story Editor is not checked on, so that isn't causing it.

InDesign 2023 crashes when opening older InDesign files
Can't open older version files in InDesign 2023. Using Microsoft Office 2016 64-Bit Edition (yes, I know we're really behind in our operating system). It looks like it's going to open the file, and then it crashes InDesign. Have tried restarting, re-installing InDesign and no go. Have even tried saving the old file as an IDML mark-up file and it still won't open.

InDesign 2023 crashing when using links panel
Though it rights itself occasionally, this happens only when I use the links panel. I am having to cmd-D to import, but that is adding lots of time I don't have.
Restarts of both InDesign and my latest model MacBook Pro are not fixing this.
What can I do?

delete text crash
Opened and made a copy (Save As) of an existing doc in ID 17.4, moved to ID 18 when it became available. Replaced about 2/3 of the existing material with new text or images. Found one specific text box that crashed when I tried to delete it. Tried deleting the text in the box, another crash. Tried deleting text in chunks, and got down to just one letter that was causing the crash.

Application crashes/closes without submitting error log when trying to re-link or replace a file via drag and drop
I am using the most recent version of indesign (17.4).
When I try to re link a file (a PSD in this instance) or to use drag and drop to change the file to something else, the application completely shuts.
It does not produce an error log and I have even tried regedit to get it to gather a crash dump but no joy.
I have tried to revert to a previous instance of InDesign but this does not fix the issue either.

InDesign 2022 crashing when pasting or importing MS Word text.
Running Windows 11, I can't import text from Microsoft Word. Even by copying the texto on Word and pasting onto InDesign, the app crashes over and over and over again. I just can't work.

Les tableaux Excel ne sont plus importés correctement depuis la version 2020. Les valeurs non numériques caculées sont remplacées par -1.
Ce la fonctionne sur la version 2019.merci d'apporter un correctif de toute urgence ou nous apporter une solution.

InDesign crashes after making changes to the document after exporting to pdf
InDesign exports to PDF fine. But after looking the pdf over, I usually want to make changes. Making any more than about five changes to an InDesign document after exporting it to PDF will make InDesign crash, regardless of what those changes are. It's happening on every single document since the latest update.

Crash on Importing Large Word File
InDesign v17.4
macOS 12.6 Monterey
Mac Studio (2022)InDesign is crashing on importing a large (859-page) Word .docx file. The document begins to import for a couple of seconds but then InDesign crashes and there is a 'may be damaged' warning on reopening the file.
Attempts were made to import into a completely new document and multiple variations of import settings have been tried, as has resaving, duplicating and deleting comments and saving the Word file. Smart Text Reflow has also been turned off but this hasn't helped.

Switching between Cross Reference "Link To" types causes Crash

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)- New Hyperlink Destination: saved a Text Anchor (paragraph includes a graphic so I don't want to use the Cross Reference > Link To Paragraph option in this instance.)
- Cross-References palette hamburger
- Insert Cross-Reference...
- Change Link To from Paragraph to Text Anchor and it crashes. (I want to use Cross Reference instead of Hyperlink so it will include dynamic page number.)

SmartStream crash
We are experiencing an issue where InDesign v21 will crash while we are using HP SmartStream Designer. This occurs when we start creating an imposed job, and will fail at different times with our templates. We notice this occurs predominately with the 6x9 postcard template.
This happens often enough to where we are hesitant to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign, as we are not having this issue with v19. We have tried remaking the template file, which did not fix the issue. Is this a known bug? What steps would be best for us to try next?

crash split layout view
InDesign (randomly) crashes when copying/pasting from one view to the other in split layout view.
At this time I'm working on a Windows 10 machine with InDesign 17.3 installed, but I've had this isue already for years, going back to InDesign 14. The problem occured also on Mac machines with Sierra and Catalina installed.I can't timely reproduce the issue, it happens randomly, but always with split layout view in use. Only today InDesign crashed already 7 times while I was working in split layout view.

Keep Getting an error code 205 when launching InDesign
Bonjour,
Depuis ma dernière mise à jour InDesign 17.3 le code erreur 205 s’affiche, j’ai essayé de le désinstaller, réinstaller… Mais rien à faire. J’ai donc suivi les instructions d’Abobe par rapport au code erreur 205 mais toujours la même chose. Après avoir insisté j’ai enfin réussi à ouvrir InDesign, tout fonctionnait bien. Mais quand j’ai redémarré mon ordinateur je ne pouvais plus utiliser InDesign (code erreur 205).Aujourd’hui même en téléchargeant la version antérieure le code d’erreur 205 s’affiche au démarrage du logiciel Indesign. Le reste des logiciels eux fonctionne bien. opening an idml-file failes, ID is crashing without crashreporter
ID 17.2.1

iMac (Retina 5K, 27 Zoll, Ende 2015)An IDML-file saved with ID 17.2.1 I can not open with ID 17.2.1 again.
ID is crahing and the Adobe/ID-crashreporter is not shown.
Only the MacOs-crashreport appers.I'd like to attach/upload this file as . idml and zipped as .zip, but the dialog shows something like "this format is not supported". I'm logged in. - Why that dos not work?
