1. InDesign CC 2018 workspace loading incorrectly

   Since InDesign 2015 I have had the workspace customised for daily use however every time I restart InDesign my workspace shows it’s still selected however the panels collapse and some disappear entirely. I need to select reset workspace every single time without changing anything else and it goes back to my setup.

   Is there a way to make this remember, as I thought saving workspaces is what this is supposed to be doing? And considering that I can reset my workspace and it does come back then something else is happening.

   Thank you for your support. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
   Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

   If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

2. Entire page missing elements and objects, and unable to select objects

   After updating to 14.0.1, I opened a project and found that one of the pages (just this one page for some reason) had missing objects, missing elements, and the objects on the page were unable to be selected unless I clicked and dragged from the outside of the page to select everything at once. The missing images showed up elsewhere in the catalog and appeared in the links panel under the correct page, but did not appear in the page. After closing and re-opening the same file in InDesign CC 2018, everything was intact and totally fine. This issue rendered 14.0.1 totally unusable for me.

3. InDesign CC ability to "constrain" with keyboard shortcuts lost

   Using InDesign CC 13.1, since latest update (5/31/18) all attempts to "constrain" with time saving keyboard shortcuts do not work as before. Shift to constrain horizontal or vertical position when moving an item. Command, Option, Shift to constrain while enlarging or reducing images. Cannot constrain in Illustrator with keyboard shortcuts either.

4. "Punched-in" values are not properly input. Possible latency issue.

   For example, when punching in numbers to resize an object, the first number will often go ignored.

   Also, when punching in new values for type (Font Size and Leading), when hitting TAB (from Font Size) to punch in a new Leading value, the value will not completely replace the current value if currently an "auto" value if I begin typing immediately. This results in an unwelcomed and unwarranted "invalid numeric value" popup.

   This has been happening ever since I can remember (all CC versions)

5. Vector graphics randomly vanish upon transformation in high quality display mode

   If I have a simple InDesign document with a placed .ai or .pdf graphic, and set display quality to "high quality", then proceed to transform the frame using ctrl+shift+drag, the content of the frame will randomly disappear. To get it to display again I have to zoom in or out, or toggle between preview mode. Where multiple objects are on the page sometimes just the one I'm transforming will go, and sometimes others will vanish as well. See the attached video for a demonstration.

6. Find/Replace saves are not not saving

   When searching documents for frequently used word to change it is good to have these saved. this used to work - now if you do save, next time you open indesign they are ALL GONE?

   XXX Company needs to change to YYY Company, save in Find / Replace. Open next job to amend XXX to YYY

7. Cannot use libraries in InDesign 2018

   Hi, i am having issues when trying to use Text from CC Libraries in InDesign 2018. Dragging content to CC Libraries are working fine, but when i try to use the elements in another document, it shows up blank. I can see the Cloud icon, that shows that the element has been linked with the CC library.

   Also if i edit the element in CC Libraries it also shows blank.

   This is working fine for InDesign 2017 and 2019, but not 2018 where i have my server plugin.

   Have tried to reinstall InDesign 2018

   Deleted the folder
   ~/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign

   Quitted the CCLibraries in Activity Monitor and rebooted the Computer.

   Running macOS 10.14.2

8. BUG InDesign CC2019 Win10 Scrollbars disappear when cursor is in text box

   Scrollbars disappear when cursor is placed in a text box using the Type Tool. Must switch to Selection Tool and click out of text box in order view and use scrollbars again.

9. Clicking on master page items with type tool

   1. InDesign CC2019
   2. clicking on master page items on a page with the text tool selected should make that text box active – like it has done for so many years
   3. it doesn’t. You have to change to the main selection tool, then click on the text box, then click back on the type tool to edit the text. Creating a pain when you have a lot of master pages set up.

10. No window appears when I open the app, not even when opening a previous document. Mac 10.13.2

    No window appears when I open the app, not even when opening a previous document. Running Mac 10.13.2 on MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012. I tried using the 2017 version and no window appears there either! I need to do my work today!!!!

12. Screen flickering - Screen turns black when moving objects.

    When i drag and drop a Textframe my Screen flickers black for a second - almost every damn time. This happens for me and most of my colleagues and it is horrible to work with.

    I feel like it got worse after installing the latest "Tablehead" fix that fixed the disapearing tableheads.

    Build 12.1.0.56
    OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
    iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5", 2015)
    3,3 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
    Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB

    2nd Monior is a DELL U2414H, 23,5" at 1800p

    This is happening on quite a lot of machines in my Company and also for Persons i know using a 4K Retina iMac. and Really is a pain to work with. - It is NOT visible in a Screenrecording the only option would be to record a Video from my Smartphone if needed...

    The issue reported is at Apple’s end.
    Hence, Apple is recommending to update macOS to 10.15.x version in order to resolve this issue.

    Please update your macOS to Catalina. If you still face this issue in macOS 10.15 do add your comment in this thread.

13. eyedropper

    I'm experiencing all sorts of odd behavior in INDD CC v.14.01, particularly when using the eye dropper to copy text attributes.

    Things that happen: text will be given a stroke when the text that I'm copying has no stroke applied; text will go from Align Top to Align Bottom; random colors and sizes applied.

14. [ID-4213978]unable to change font, size, style in Script UI, alignment problem with Image on button

    Unable to perform basic features such as changing of text Font, Styles, Sizes in CC's scriptUI.
    Alslo image in button way OFF alignment.

    This result in uglier customized UIs than it's older versions.
    As the world population is getting older, the ability to have bigger font size and style is really needed.

15. incopy 2019 and indesign 2017

    I have recently upgraded both my INDESIGN AND INCOPY to 2019 .... and the edited INCAP files coming back to me via email are not opening when I double click them .... I get the attached error - WHEN I BROWSE and locate file its just a horrible circle - nothing happens ... Please let me know if there is a bug fix or plug in - was all working fine before the upgrade...

    OS is SIERRA 10.12.6

18. 14.0.1 x64 running on Windows 10 Pro ver 17763.165 and when explorer is launched it makes the screen flicker and you cannot close InDesign

    I'm running Win 10 Pro version 17763.165 and had iTunes open and had just started Adobe InDesign version 14.0.1 X64 and then launched win file explorer and that came up but then the explorer window kept flickering. It did it so much I couldn't close the window. Now I have settings open and the about window in InDesign froze and doesn't close. But some of this my be a design flaw in the Adobe program. Only way to close was by Task manager. Report also sent to MS support to let them know as this may be a beta build

19. Content not updating when changes are committed

    When making revisions to a layout—I'll use a table as an example—the table won't update to show a modification to the element (a row being deleted, for example). Only upon taking another action does the table reflect the user action. Until another action is taken, it will show the content as still being there. FYI: this bug has been present since the previous version of ID..

20. InDesign 13.0.1 can not follow an alias on a server share anymore

    InDesign 13.0.1 on a apple mac running 10.13.3 does not recognize alias (links) on a server share anymore. Photoshop still does.

    Steps: Go to a server share, no matter if an smb or afp share.
    Create a folder A. Place an file inside, e. g. 1.jpeg
    .
    Create an alias from folder A => A alias.
    In InDesign choose OPEN:
    Go to the server share
    The Folder A is in black typo an available. Highlight A and you see the file.
    The Alias A alias is gray, InDesign does not recognize the link.
    Do the same in Photoshop, you will see the file no matter if you chose the folder or the alias.
    All the years this worked in InDesign too (as expected).

    If you create an alias of a folder (located on a server) and drag it to the desktop, it works. For quick creation of aliases this way, press Option-Command while you drag the original item to the desktop.
    Note : Accessing items of an folder’s alias located on a server has not worked in previous releases of InDesign too.
