Print thumbnails to postscript — file unusable
When I print thumbnails [or a booklet] to a postscript file, InDesign 15.0.2 creates the file, but it cannot be read in either Preview or Acrobat.
You need to allow for a useable PS/PDF export for sharing thumbnails or booklets with colleagues who do not use InDesign.
1 voteHi,
Have you started to face problems only after updating to 15.0.2 version of InDesign?
Can you share a sample file and a video showing the steps you use for printing at amaarora@adobe.com?Thanks

Lagging/text doubling when changing paragraph styles
When changing paragraph styles the remaining text moves, but kind of doesn't refresh without me clicking away from the frame with the cursor or zooming in. What happens is I get double text which is confusing. Crashing is happening too at this point.

AdobeFnt.lst automatically reappears after deleting
InDesign version: 15.0.2
Suddenly (after the latest March 2020 InDesign update?) the AdobeFont.lst file created with InDesign packages automatically shows up with folder structure after deleting a package. This is really aggravating for file management. It's as if my team can't fully delete InDesign packages. This is happening with multiple InDesign files on multiple machines.
149 votesAs confirmed by multiple users, this issue is fixed in latest version of InDesign.
Thanks for your feedback.

Linked in file not showing missing font error
I have designed several booklets for a customer each targeting a specific audience. Some of these pages are the same like this back cover file which I have made using inDesign and is placed as the last page of all the booklets. When I make a print layout setting up the pages [12/1] [2/11] ... to print as a booklet I place all the pages from the indesign file for each book. This means that my print file references a design file which references a variety of pages and fliers of pdf, ai and indd types. I recently had some…

InDesign CC 2020 - Error trying to package editorial projects
the last few days Ive been trying to package documents and I keep getting the same error (for whatever editorial project I have) that says "Indesign cannot package the document... Cannot copy necessary linked file(s)" (see printscreen) but all files are properly linked, in CMYK and 300dpi's (as I need them to be - never encounter this issue in over a decade of using Indesign) so Im kinda despairing here since Im on a schedule...
Does anyone know how to help please??
Thanks in advance.3 votes -
Missing Plugin's
I currently have Adobe InDesign version 15.0.1 x64 and when I log in it tells me that I have missing plugin's (see below for a list). I am still able to do all other functions but then when I go to package my document it is unsuccessful. The research I have done says I need to add these plugin's but I can't find where to do that in the Help section. I have even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and I'm still experiencing this issue.

Adobe Fonts automatically substituting versions of fonts that are document-stalled
When I open an InDesign file that has been packaged with all the fonts (non-Adobe Fonts) included in the Document fonts folder, if I happen to have the same version of the font activated in Adobe Fonts, InDesign automatically, and without warning, substitutes the Adobe Fonts version. This is a major problem. The heirarchy should be document-installed fonts FIRST, then InDesign can look in Adobe Fonts and suggest replacing it. This should not be done without warning in the background. It means that the person who was working in a package workflow without using any Adobe Fonts can send a…

Packaging dialogue location default
Please have the document packaging dialogue default to the folder the InDesign file your packaging from is located in. Up till InDesign 2020 this was the default, now it is packaging things wherever something was saved last.

spotcolor name in x-4 exported pdf not a valid utf-8 string
When creating a PDF using german umlauts using InDesign for OS X and export the file as PDF/X-4, the Umlauts are displayed correctly in Acrobat for OS X, but wrong in Acrobat for Windows (and vice versa).
Acrobat Preflight flags the spot colors as " not a valid UTF-8 string"
It looks like the spot colors is generated with the coding of the respective OS, which is not valid by the PDF/X-4 specification

InDesign does not load printer settings initially
When opening the print window, InDesign will not use the settings set in the printer driver. But if you switch to a different printer in the drop down list and then back to the first printer again, the correct settings will be loaded.
Using latest version 14.0.3.
Printing works fine in other Adobe-softwares and MS Office.1 vote -
Creep leaves a white gap
Print to Booklet does have a creep setting, to compensate for paper thickness in a saddle stitched booklet. But there is a problem is on the coverpages, since the added creep leaves a white gap on the 'back' where the staples are placed, even when the document has enough bleed to fill this space.

lexmark printer not printing all elements
We use Lexmark Laser Printer model CS820
Windows 10 OSWe use our indesign file as a template to print custom certificates.
We change the name on the certificate for each customer.
The printer will not print all elements of a design: i.e. the images and text are missing. And
Files will often not print immediately but will 'sit' in the printer memory for up to several minutes before printing.
For a print business this is not acceptable. Please advise with working solutions.
We have a Lexmark CS827 and this works fine.

print booklet
InDesign CS6, ver. 8.1 both skips and reorders booklet pages.
In a sixteen-page booklet Print Booklet prints only eight pages and those out of order.
Sheet A ought to print p. 16 and p. 1 on the obverse and p.2 and p. 15 on its reverse.
Instead it prints p. 3 and p. 1 on the obverse and p. 4 and p. 3 on the reverse.
Sheet B continues the confusion, printing p. 6 and p. 5 on the obverse and p. 8 and p. 7 on the reverse.
.Same results whether I choose 2-up saddle stitch or 2-up perfect…1 vote -

SRA3 format not found
Hello everyone,
I have the problem with printing SRA3 using InDesign.
When you choose the format, SRA3 is not listed in there. The strange thing is, that we have multiple systems, that don't have this issue, but run on the same OS, using the same printer, driver, etc..
In Photoshop for example, the SRA3 format is listed, but in InDesign, it is not.
I'm not sure what could cause this problem.Used system:
Operating system: Mac Mojave
Printer: Xerox C60Thank you

Not all fonts are collected in a package.
This is for InDesign 14.0.2 x64
To reproduce the issue, package any file and be sure the include fonts option is ON.
Expected result is, as it ever was, that all fonts used in the document will be included in the "Fonts" folder of the resulting packaged file.
Actual result is that some or all of the fonts are omitted.

InDesign 14.02 NOT PRINTING
Adobe InDesign 14.02
Only prints a solid line at the top of the page.
No text, diagrams, etc being printed.
When I try exporting to pdf, views OK on screen, but only blank pages will print.(Also, when I tried reverting to previous version, got message saying could not be done because file too complex or similar. Will try this option again, because I have GOT TO PRINT my files
1 voteDeleting all files spooled in the C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS folder and reinstalling the print driver helped resolve the issue.
