Image catalog script - For creating Contact Sheets
Under Scripts, my image catalog script does not complete the place command to create an image catalog for me. When bug is worked out, I would also like an option to number each image, instead of only placing file names.
To recreate: Create new document, letter size. Open scripts, and run Imagecatalog.applescript. Set rows and columns( doesn't matter, also doesn't matter if labels is checked or unchecked) . Page will populate rectangle boxes, but not graphic frames nor insert images.

cc libraries deletes my text
Hello.
When adding my own text to a file in InDesign/CC Libraries (See attached image) - it deletes part of the text so I have to rewrite it again.
Example:
'Saks' becomes 'ks'There's a glitch and the text disappears.
It's a collaboration work account, but can't it get more stable?best regards.

Place; inconsequent text string in dialog
When choosing File -> Place the dialog says "Open" on the selected item. In stead of "Place"
In training on indesign i allways have to explain this. We can only Open indesign files, but we can Place other media. The dialog window should use the term Place.1 vote -
CC Library after last update now puts white box around all graphics
After the latest update, when I use my library to place a logo on a page in InDesign, it now almost looks like a white background PNG instead of the logo without any background. Running into printing issues with white boxes around all of our CC Library Graphics.

disappearing images
Images randomly disappear when I try and nudge them with the cursor keys. Very frustrating

PDF Place only shows document - not generic PDF icon
BUG? CC 2019. When placing a PDF file we used to get generic PREVIEW icon which was preferred. Now every "place" only shows the actual contents of the PDF document. This is in the FILE -> PLACE -> "Choose PDF" dialog window

text skalierung
In InDesign ist es zum Teil nicht mehr möglich, Textfelder so zu skalieren, dass sich Zeilenumbrüche etc. verändern. Das ist ein übler Fehler!!!
Und wieso gibt es das Programm auf Deutsch, aber diese Webseite nicht???

High Quality Display Not working
I have used INDD for about 15 years. Very experienced. but just upgraded it to CC2019 along with Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1. I can no longer see images in high quality (since the upgrades). I have triple checked everything. (image res, all INDD settings etc..) Is this a known issue?
2 votesWe guess you must have already checked your Display Performance settings. Could you confirm if it is set to HQ? Also, are all links up-to-date?

Clicking on image doesn't show it in the Links panel
Clicking on an image within a frame doesn't show it in the Links panel, so I have to scroll through the list of links to find the image - This sometimes works, sometimes does not.

can't place image on rotated page
When placing an image on to a rotated page the image is placed outside the work area! Does not mater if I choose place from the File meny or drag and drop from the desktop. No mater where I place it on my page it gets sent way out with no chance of selecting it. InDesign CC 2019 (14.0)
2 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

links labeled as "modified" when actually "OK"
ID= v13.1
MacOS= 10.13.4Problem: Open any ID file and links that should be "OK" are labeled as "modified". I do not get any error window that pops up notifying me this. Without taking any action, I close the ID file and reopen it and links are now labeled as "OK". Open it up a third time and links are "OK". I QUIT out of ID and open that same file and see links as "OK" and now they are labeled as "modified". This process repeats. Attached video to show. All links in these ID files are not modified or…

Thank you for your patience all this while, We have concluded our investigation into the issue and below is our finding.
This issue is due to the use of a specific version of Extensis Universal Type client: version 6.1.6.
The issue is reproducible only with Id 2018 as Extensis UTC 6.1.6 is not compatible with Id 2019.Please note:
If you are using Extensis UTC 6.1.6 with InDesign 2018 please use any other version of Extensis UTC which is compatible with Id 2018 to avoid this issue.Or you can upgrade to Id 2019 and used compatible version of Extensis UTC.

Cannot place EPS image in empty box
InDesign 14.0.1.209
Mac OSX 10.14.3Placing an EPS file generated from "Barcode" (by AppsForLife) does not work properly if the target box is empty. If box already contains a graphic, the file will place properly via "Place" or drag+drop.
On a new image box or box where the existing image has been deleted, the following occurs (via Place or drag+drop):
Image will seem to appear in the target box. Once mouse button is released, the imported image is no longer in the box and the pointer changes to a "placement selector" prompting to place the image in a new box.

illustrator art resizes with new Content aware fit feature
With the new Content Aware Fit feature Illustrator art from documents in a previous version of Indesign come in resized in the box. Therefore all legacy indd documents have Illustrator art that resized.

Library objects jump when being dragged onto the page
In InDesign CC 14.0.1 objects dragged from a library jump from the designated location to the pasteboard at the top of the spread. They can be repositioned easily enough by dragging but it takes extra time.

Assets renamed in web view of CC Libraries don't retain name when imported into document
I've been creating some CC Libraries with quite a few logo assets and have found it easier to do the renaming of the files in web view because it lets me copy/paste a file name, whereas the CC Libraries panel does not.
I've just come across the issue that even though the names appear to have synced when I view the files in the Libraries panel, when I drag/drop or right-click > Place a file into my actual document, the name disappears from the asset in the Links panel. It defaults to whatever it was when i created the asset…

XMP file info dialog box (for linked images) no longer shows up
I clicked the flyout menu in the Links panel, and choose to display the XMP file info and the dialog box doesn't show up. It's like it is off screen somewhere, as all the menus are then grayed out. I can hit Escape a few times to get out of it. But sometimes InDesign totally locks up and I have to force quit.

Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import
I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.
If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.

Can't import RAW fiels anymore
Usually I drag and drop from Lr to Id and it works well. From jpeg, dng, tiff, psd, raw files (CR2 Canon). But today it is not working.

Problema ao atualizar arquivos do Illustrator / Problem updating files from Illustrator
