Adobe Express templates - opens in Indesign
Indesign recently come with a new feature thats allow you to se and open Adobe Express Templates from the startpage in Indesign. BUT, i would love to open them in Indesign, not Adobe Express.
Exacltly like you do in Adobe Express or Canva, but keep it in Indesign. Its perfect if you need some inspiration, or if you use the programs but you have to make something fast and not from scratch.1 vote -
Add an option to reinitialize the list of fonts
I would like to request the addition of an option to reinitialize the list of fonts. Before starting a new project, I prefer not to see the previously used fonts at the top of the list. Instead, I would like to have the fonts organized strictly in alphabetical order. This would help me easily find and select the fonts I want to use without the distraction of past choices. Thank you for considering this feature!

My be it's not an idea, but there's something wrong

Add context toolbar to normal workspace
At the moment, the context toolbar can only be fixed in its position WITHIN the document window. So it always overlaps the page I am currently working on. That annoys me.
In Photoshop, you can fix its position above the document window, within the normal toolbar.
I would love to see this position ability in Indesign, too. And to be able to save that as a workspace option.Another issue is that if I switch Indesign to another screen (I am working with two monitors) while working, the context toolbar stays in the screen I used when starting Indesign. I…

Make "align stroke to outside" actually align the stroke to the outside, like it used to.
When you set a bounding box to align the stroke to the outside, it used to mean that...the stroke was aligned to the outside of the bounding box. I thought that was the whole point of that setting. Now the bounding box is outside of the stroke no matter what you set it to. I can't imagine any possible reason for this. Now if I want to position any element properly, I have to remove the stroke temporarily. Please change it back?

How to Win Geometry Dash Lite
Winning in Geometry Dash Lite requires more than quick reflexes—it’s all about rhythm, timing, and persistence. Every level is designed to test your reaction speed and ability to stay calm under pressure. Here’s how you can master it.
Learn the rhythm: Each obstacle follows the beat of the background music. Listening closely helps you anticipate jumps and spikes instead of reacting too late.
Practice in training mode: Use practice mode to memorize tricky sections. Don’t rush—focus on getting the rhythm right before attempting the full level.
Tap lightly and consistently: Over-tapping can ruin your timing. Keep your taps short and…

Add "Fit Frame to Content" option to Object Styles
Add an "Auto-Size Frame Options" section to Object Styles that would allow the frame to automatically adjust its dimensions to fit the placed content. This feature would be particularly valuable when importing images via XML files for automated catalog production. Thank you

Replacing a page within an existing PDF file using InDesign export options
It would be great if you could export a page from InDesign to an existing pdf file with add or replace options.

cropping
Would it be possible to add a link to a watermark? When someone wants to crop out the water mark that it re-appears after its was cropped?

Formatting bullet points
Implement a simpler way to format bullet points in InDesign. For example, in Microsoft Word, you can simply hit Enter and then Tab to create a Tier 2 bullet, with predefined spacing. While I understand the use of character styles, tabs, and paragraph styles for bullets, it often takes me and my colleagues a long time to remember how to format them correctly. I love typesetting, but the bullet formatting always trips me up!

Option to ignore hidden spreads while auto checking spelling or find/change etc.
There are a few posts surrounding hidden spreads. Perhaps all these could be view as a whole when tackling.
My specific feature request is that automated text editing functions such as Find/Change and Spell check have an option to disregard content on hidden spreads. Currently the checking process for each of these (and possibly others such a replace font etc.) is interrupted by having found object on hidden spreads and requires that they be unhidden to progress. Keeping spreads hidden is not an option as clicking OK to the prompt that pops up ends the checking process.
Also while considering…

Keep active links when placing PDFs in InDesign
When you place a PDF with text and links into an InDesign file, the links are lost when you export the final file to PDF. This happens because InDesign treats the placed PDF as an image, so the links do not stay active. It would be very useful if the links of a placed PDF could remain active when exporting from InDesign to PDF. Thanks

Line-Based Paragraph Shading Option
Currently, InDesign’s Paragraph Shading feature applies shading across the entire width of the paragraph, regardless of the actual length of the text on each line. This often results in large shaded areas extending far beyond the end of the text, which is visually unappealing and requires complex workarounds.
Please add an option to apply paragraph shading per line, so that the shading extends only as far as the text on that line. This would allow for much cleaner typography, especially in cases like poetry, short line breaks, lists, or multi-line titles.

Exclude leading words from Table of Contents "alphabetical order".
I'd like to be able to exclude leading words such as "The" from the alphabetical ordering of the listings. We do a festival program each year with a sponsor directory and end up with a hug section under "The" like they're in their own little world at the end of the Table of Contents.

Add "Duplicate" and "Delete" option to Home Page of Indesign
When opening Indesign, the homepage that comes up could include a Duplicate Project button on a right-click menu. This would eliminate the need to open Files separately on my local computer, find the correct file, and copy/paste it there before I can have a duplicate from which to make new version changes. It could also include "Delete" or "Hide" buttons for managing InDesign files.
THis would save me quite a few steps that I need to take outside the InDesign program just to duplicate a project. Thanks!1 vote -
CMD+CornerRotation unsed, idea: Rotate around anchorpoint
While rotating an object with the default tool (not the rotation tool), the CMD-key is unused.
shift+rotate = rotate in 45° steps
alt+rotate = rotate and make duplicate
shift+alt+rotate = rotate in 45° steps and make duplicatecmd+rotate => rotate around the anchored point
cmd+alt+...
cmd+shift+...
cmd+alt+shift+...You get the idea.

Add access to photo albums in InDesign
I am working on an art book which entails inserting many photos. Because my photo library includes many different types of photos, the art photos have been segregated into an album. Unfortunately I cannot access that album directly, which means I will have to move all of those images into another folder outside of photos in order to insert them with Place. Please add album access to InDesign. I have given ID full disk access but that does not make any difference.

Improved Animation Features and Native Video Export in InDesign
Improved Animation Features and Native Video Export in InDesign
Dear InDesign Development Team,
My name is Eldad Pnini, and I manage a graphic design studio that relies heavily on Adobe InDesign -
not only for print design, but also for digital content creation.
Currently, InDesign offers basic animation capabilities, but we believe there is significant untapped potential. At our studio, we use InDesign to design banners, landing pages, social media posts, and stories - and simple animations (like entrance, exit, movement, fade, etc.) are a daily need. We would greatly appreciate seeing major improvements to the animation tools in future…1 vote
