Iibraries panel back link
The libraries panel is shaky on a 4K monitor - it's slow to load and there are display quirks galore.
But that's not what I want to mention.
The arrow to go back to all libraries is a link but the title of the library - which appears directly to the right - is not a link.

Make it remember when I choose "View -> Actual size"
Make it remember when I choose "View -> Actual size". God knows how many times I had to go in and choose it again, as it switches back to "Fit Spread in Window" or "Fit Page in Window".

"Revert" function needs an "undo revert"
"Revert" function needs an "undo revert" in case of accidental "revert." Perhaps the Revert would open up the file in memory as a new document with the Text added to the file name '(reverted)'
For example: MyFilename (reverted).indd

How to password protect a Mac OS X application?
Start by installing the AppLocker app from the App Store on your Mac.
When you open the app, you’ll find a new icon in the menu bar. You’ll see a popup asking you to set a password. Here, click on the “Setup My Password” button.
From the Preferences menu, create your password (something that you won’t forget), and if you have a MacBook with Touch ID, you can also check the “Enable Touch ID” option. Now, click “Save Password” and then click on the red Close button in the top-left corner to exit the Preferences pane.
Go to the menu bar and click on the AppLocker icon. You’ll see in the dropdown that the app is locked. Enter your password and click on the “Enter” button to unlock the app.
Here, first check the “Start at Login” option. It will make sure that AppLocker starts up automatically every time you boot up your Mac and locks all your selected apps. Second, click on the plus sign (+) to add an app.
From the new window, search for an app on your Mac and then click on it to instantly add the program to the locked apps list.
Now, when you quit the app and try to launch it again, AppLocker will ask for a password.
Also, To Secure your macOS from virus and trojans, use always a mac optimization software like Mac Optimizer Pro.

Bonjour,
mon équipe et moi même rencontrons souvent ce genre de problème d'affichage lorsque nous passons d'un mode à l'autre (touche W)... peu importe le document qu'il soit long ou non, complexe ou non...
est ce normal ?

Tab key to navigate through text fields only
In dialog boxes, pressing the tab key should only navigate between text fields. It used to do this. Now it navigates through every field, button and popup menu. There is a system keyboard setting that regulates this. InDesign now ignores this setting.
For example, in the New Document box, press the tab key repeatedly and it goes:
Facing Pages > Start Page # > Primary Text Frame > Page Size > Width ...and so on.
It should only go:
Start Page # > Width ...all those other buttons etc should be skipped.

zoom in/zoom out functionality on the Add Bullets dialogue box
Please, PLEASE can the next version of InDesign offer zoom in/zoom out functionality (the same as you see bottom-right of the Glyphs panel) to the Add Bullets dialogue box.
Currently, the scrolling area where you can select a bullet character is so small, less than 4% of the screen on my monitor, with no way to zoom in. (see attached screenshot)
Paragraph Style Options > Bullets and Numbering > Bullet Character Section > Add...

How to release an IP address on a Mac?
To release and renew your IP address in Mac OS X, you’ll use the Network system preferences to renew the DHCP Lease.
- Click the Apple button and choose System Preferences.
- Choose the Network icon.
- Select your method of connecting to the internet. In most cases it will either be Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- Click Advanced.
- If you selected Ethernet, you should already be in the TCP/IP tab heading. If you aren’t, or if you selected Wi-Fi, click the TCP/IP tab heading.
- Click Renew DHCP Lease.
- Click OK to exit the Advanced window, and then exit System Preferences.
A restart may be required to complete the process.

Adjust Leading Between Bullet Points
It is super time consuming to adjust the leading between bullet points every time manually. If we could set it in the paragraph style that would be so much faster. Went mad researching online but apparently there is no way to resolve this.

Pantone libraries for color bridge CMYK formulas do not match the published Pantone formulas.
InDesign team advised Adobe has their own conversion. That's unacceptable. Designers need the confidence that the color libraries are in fact what they are called in CS. Any time a project goes to press and does not meet expectations, a printer can simply say - those colors are not the correct pantones and leave the designer holding the bag. Yes we can manually enter the correct values. But, unless designers experience a project go wrong, they're probably trusting Adobe libraries to be what they're called in CS. Adobe needs to update the libraries, or delete them, or simply call them something else, like Adobe Color Bridge

Dynamic Spelling Additions
Please provide option that highlights assumed words/names versus words that are clearly spelled incorrectly. Please have them appear differently. A highlight for one and a underline for the other.

Dynamic Spelling Additions
Hi there,
I've lost sleep over this one. So, I'd like to suggest a feature that would be a little more helpful in the future in regards to fixing erros in a document. Here's the problem. As, it happens regularly.
I am provided a document with many highlighted spelling revisions. In the "DynamicSpellingChange" image dynamic spelling highlights all the families last names in a document. And just underneath Victoria Tseng Paepcke, Helen's Neice is spelled wrong.
This is my human error. As I typed this in after sending a revised proof that was already incorrect because I was in a rush and formatted the document incorrectly.
It would be nice to have common mispelled words separately coloured from assumed words spelled incorrectly. It would be nice when pushing a document to print that it highlights or forces me to walk through any errors that my be critical. I can add in a Neice to Niece auto correction but this doesn't help me the words I spell wrong in the future.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if there's another form of prevention. I'd be interested. As, I should have just imported the word document and not pasted it over one block at a time.

group images by page
we would like to have the option to show links or images grouped by page because we have some time same images in 60 pages and we then want to replace them only on specif pages. so instead of doing it one image at a time, we could then just replace the images based on pages.

Don't automatically change view/zoom when editing layer visibility of linked graphics
Editing the layer visibility of a linked graphic in InDesign causes the zoom level to be automatically adjusted to fit-to-page. This makes it difficult to see the preview image for small graphics that may be hard to see at the full page zoom level.
If any automatic zoom adjustment is to be made at all (which it should not) it should be to fit the graphic to the window so you can see what you are doing.

Please bring back Indesign CS6 feature of Footnote Leading to be at zero so that We can have inline footnotes.
Please bring back the Indesign CS6 feature of Footnote Leading can be made at zero so that We can have inline footnotes. (Multiple vertical footnotes can be made in the same line horizontally to save space). Please see the attached file as an example. Currently, all the CC Indesign versions by default put a space between footnotes vertically (Leading). No matter what it does not allow the multiple footnotes to be in the same line horizontally. That is like deleting a very useful feature and reducing the capabilities of Indesign for Publishing industry formatters like us.

Option to draw a text frame on top of another text frame
Making a new text frame on top of an existing text frame is something I very frequently need to do. However, as it is, for different reasons this simple process is needlessly cumbersome.
I have two suggested solutions (I have a dream that both could be implemented, and make a basic upgrade to my workflow):
Make the type tool able to draw a text frame on top of another text frame. Explanation: When hovering the type tool above an empty area, the tool turns into a text frame tool, as indicated by the cursor. However, when hovering above an existing text frame all you can do is place the text cursor – no way to make a new frame, unless you switch to the frame tool (see below). But could the ‘text frame tool’ could be invoked by a modifier (alt, fx?), to make it possible to draw a text frame on top of another? (When hovering above text, the alt-modifier is already (somewhat, in theory) occupied by the hand tool. But using alt to invoke the hand tool is erratic: it only works when you are editing text, and not before the text cursor is properly placed, so I always use alt+space instead for the hand tool. Before placing the text cursor, pressing alt currently does nothing. Suggestions for other ways to achieve the same are of course welcome.)
Make the type tool stop ignoring empty, unassigned frames that sit on top of text frames. Explanation: When using the frame tool to draw a new frame on top of a (bigger) text frame in the background, and you try the normal way of converting the frame to a text frame, by selecting the text tool and clicking inside the new frame, the new frame will simply be ignored: The type cursor will be put into the text frame beneath. The solution is to first manually go to the Object menu and select Content > Text for the new frame, before clicking inside it with the type tool. But this seems like an unnecessary step. If the new frame has any kind of color or stroke, the type tool correctly does not ignore the new frame, this only occurs if the new frame is completely empty, and it seems like an oversight. There are workarounds, like locking the text frame beneath, or using layers, but all this is needlessly cumbersome for a function that for me at least will be used multiple times a day in multiple new documents.

snapping
I would like for InDesign to snap my objects to the grids and margins I made instead of to random spots right next to it, as seen in the image I attached. I work in a document for print, so it is not snapping to pixels or whatever.
It snaps to random stuff and every **** textbox or image is a ton of work. When making magazines at high speed this really slows me down so much that I want to look into other software to do the job as Adobe is clearly nog the right partner to do this.
I litterly cramp up trying to put all the stuff in the right place, while snapping should make this easier, not harder.
