GPU performance on Mac Pro 5.1 Monterey
Indesign GPU performance is not enable such as Photoshop or Illustrator. I got last update in this three apps.

animate within a bounding box
with all of the animate options, grow, rotate, etc., it would be great if these could be applied to the image within a bounding box. Meaning the bounding box does not animate, but the image inside can grow, turn, etc.

Format panel: Symbols for special keys
I use shortcuts for my paragraph formats quite structured: Command+NumPad-1 is the large headline b.e., Command+NumPad-2 the subline and Command+NumPad3 the main text. If there is an alternate version of these styles, for example a smaller variant or with a different font for certain elements I’d shortcut those with an additional Alt- or Control-key. However, a long description of a shortcut blends away the name in the Format panel – see screen shot attached. preset in InDesign with page panel and page visible in the pdf
Would love to be able to edit the PDF preset in InDesign for High Quality Print.

Linked filename on hover
When you hover over an image, the name and path of that file pops up in a tooltip.

Multipaste
There's a plug in called Multipaste where when you copy an object and go to edit, an additonal option is 'Multipaste'.
This allows you to quickly paste the same object in the same place on a selection of pages that you specify.
This doesn't work anymore, so it would be great if it were a feature of ID.
I know you can put something on master page, but this doesn't work for the pasteboard, and you then have to go through each page and command click to make it editable.
Sometimes I just want to paste exactly the same object…

command+s issue
Command+s does the same thing as command+shift+s when saving files that were created in an older version of indd. It creates a dialogue box and a "are you sure you want to overwrite"
This is a useless (expected, i have been told by support) behavior that only slows things down when revising large amounts of files.
Its because it updates the file to run smoothly, but who would then not want to save it into the updated version? command+s should just overwrite/create the new version file automatically. If need be there could be a warning dialogue the first time with…

Load Swatches - Add an option to overwrite existing same name swatches
Load Swatches - Add an option to overwrite existing same name swatches, rather than simply renaming the incoming ones. Or an option to rename the existing swatches instead. It amounts to the same thing and would have saved a bit of time on a job I just did.

Cell values can be pasted without formatting
When pasting the cells of a table into a cell field in a different format, only the values should be pasted without formatting. Just like pasting copied text without formatting.

Option to select pre-loaded colour palette .ase file at new document stage
At the new document phase of indesign, would be great to have a feature where you can drop in pre saved colour palettes, which you can then select based on document / brand and they then load with the new document.

please let us change default layer colors
I would like to be able to change the default layer colors. I don't like that there are 2 shades of blue before other color options are being used. I know yellow was removed as a default layer color, but I didn't mind the yellow. So why not have us choose our own colors?

Save-able drop shadow settings
You should be able to SAVE Drop Shadow settings so as to be able to add them to a future object with a single click. Those of us who do publication-length work often want to add drop shadows to multiple objects over many pages. Your needs rarely match the defaults, nor each other (drop shadow settings are very context sensitive and depend on size of the object, background contrast, etc.). Please make it so that I can save customized Drop Shadow settings in an object, and then apply to another object with a single click.

Span Table Across Columns
If you create a table, why can you not span the table across columns? For instance, if you create a table and span it across two columns, the text in the right column overwrites the table, regardless of table spacing. It appears to be fault or flaw in the table options menu. If you decide to make the table as its own text frame — you lose the flowing table feature. Please see sample—I have exaggerated the table spacing so you see the problem.

Option for Unit & Increment preferences to be application wide not document specific
I realize the value in units being document specific but I would like the option to make it application wide. I work with another department and while they need the document to be in picas I need it to be in inches. It would be nice if I didn't have to manually change the preferences every time I received a document back from them.

IP addresses viewing
Please make IP addresses available for those that view published documents from InDesign. It protects the creator to know specifically who and when a document was viewed. Thanks.

For cross-references, "See figure 12 on page 321" is sort of silly if that text APPEARS on page 321. Wouldn't it be nice to offer an option to have the cross-reference, if the figure's on the same page, say "See figure 12 on this page"?
