Accessibility: DESPERATELY need to input table summaries in Indesign. Before exporting to Acrobat
Accessibility: Long form print/digital/W3C-ADA designers need to be able to input table summaries in Indesign. I update an Accessibility Document 2-3/year. +325 Tables/25 pgs. This one project that is coupled with a 240 page digital catalog is the bain to my existence. Having to redo the Table Summary work every interation is TORTURE.

Please add new options in table/document for changing decimal and thousand separators globally
Add some features in InDesign for changing the decimal and thousand separator globally. This will be very useful who work on multiple languages.

Preflight Profile for Accessibility
Add options to run accessibility checks in InDesign. Acrobat already has the ability to run an accessibility check. It would be so helpful to be able to run a preflight check for issues (e.g., alt text, table headers) before exporting.

Please enable pinch zoom in and zoom out using a touchpad on Window 10 in Adobe InDesign 2024
My Surface laptop does not enable me to pinch zoom in and zoom out using a touchpad on Window 10 in Adobe InDesign. I was previously using a mac with a magic trackpad and had no issues zooming in and out in Adobe programs. I realize I can use work-arounds like CTRL + / -, but this takes more time and I have less control.

Autosave on Indesign !!!
Currently in much distress due to the lack of an autosave feature on indesign. We artists and students should not be trusted to manually save our work. We just leave it up at all times. I know this exists on Adobe applications, this needs to be a top priority. Too many lost files due to this. Praying for a miracle and a non-existent recovered file. CATER TO YOUR AUDIENCE!

Set Solidity of Spot colors
We have HP Indigo's that can print white ink. For example, printing white ink on a golden paper, it looks great, and if you have a picture, just slab some white ink below it and it looks good.
However in InDesign, if you set the colors accordingly (Paper color to gold, and add a white spot color), and you enable overprint preview, the white ink just disappears. This means, we're desining with paper set to white and white ink set to Cyan to see what we're doing. Tbh we'd like to see what we'll eventually get.

Flipbook should comeback
The flipbook feature should come in HTML5 so that we are sure that there are no backlinks or anything like that in the code and its secure to be used on servers.

Cloning à la Illustrator Repeat or Symbol Tool for x-up Printing?
I've quickly grown to love Illustrator's Repeat feature, especially the ability to edit any instance of the repeated object. A feature akin to this for InDesign, or a "Live Repeat"/"Clone" would be a massive improvement for x-up layout!

Fontmetrics/TextMetrics data to be included in Info panel
I would like these information to be available in info panel of Indesign. It really helps. Select a character and then it should show following information:

Lyft background check?
It is an honor to be able to join the Lyft driver community, which sounds like one exciting environment. I am currently in the course of getting through the application steps. As I go through all the steps, I have thought about the thoroughness of Lyft with respect to what it looks for in a background check. Devnagri Script Numerals in Numbered Lists and Foot notes etc.... have been waiting for ages
It is very important and sometimes indispensable to have page numbers (auto) and Number list and Footnotes in Devnagri script numerals and not roman... but Indesign doesn't offer me any solution

Indesign CJK Version Request : Standard Vertical Roman Alignment
Please add the simple feature of standard vertical roman alignment in adobe indesign CJK version as well.
In all the other versions of Indesign, and also in other basic applications like the photoshop or illustrator, there is an option to vertically align roman alphabets. However, in the CJK version, the vertical writing tool only provides the option to typeset the roman alphabets and numbers in a 90 degree rotated way.
If I wanted to write them vertically without having to rotate it, I have to manually do so in Character settings, but that is not a good option since the…

Create a text variable window to see and edit values faster
Right now you have to open each variable independently. Then if you want to change the value you have to save and exit each variable. Also you have to open each variable to see the value.
Please create a Text Variable Window with two columns. One for the Name the other for the value. This way we can see the variable and edit the variable. Add the add icon, and add duplicate variable icon.

Embedded Object Styles
I would find it helpful for inCopy files with an embedded Object to use the documents Object Styles.
At the moment I am creating bios, each bio requires a headshot. I have created a basic text box in InDesign into which I have embedded a small graphic frame to which I have assigned the Object Style "Headshot Box". Once this is created I open InCopy, place in the persons bio copy. Import the file into InDesign, edit it and place the relevant headshot in the "Headshot Box".
