An error occurred while saving the comment Heidi Rosendall commentedMy black text pages must be on one color plate. But when I export normally, the marks and bleeds, etc. come out as rich black, making the file have 4 color plates, which is not affordable for us. Our work around sends us to print to pdf (instead of export). Here, we still have 4 plates (ONLY BECAUSE OF THE CROP MARKS) so we convert to dot gain 15%, text as black. The text stays 100% black, but we lose 100% black for all non-text black, it gets the dot gain 15% (even though it was 100% black before the conversion). Why can't we have a simple export that is PDF/X compliant with one black color plate PLEASE. Other export choices like Black/White that sometimes appear cannot be used because they make the logos and maps have solid black instead of a grey. In case you were wondering.

An error occurred while saving the comment Heidi Rosendall commentedI have many jobs that have a long completion time. It is important that the InDesign version not change in the middle of the job. It is NOT helpful to me to have an older job all of the sudden open in a newer version or a newer job fail to open because the older version is being used.
InDesign has had a problem with this for some years now - unable to recognize and allow for my choice of version. It hasn't been fixable many times unless I uninstall the version I don't currently want and this is very inconvenient. My support person tells me the problem hasn't gone away and though I don't understand the technical details, I very much NEED access to my version choice on a per publication basis and can work on 4 publications in one day with varying versions due to length of time in process. I also like to try out your beta software but when it opens when I don't want it, that is a problem that makes me reluctant to make it part of my day.Heidi Rosendall supported this idea · -

Hi All, thanks for this feature suggestion.
If I understand this correctly the idea here is that you need a faster way to be able to apply Master Pages to the various pages in the document. One use case is that you want to apply a particular master page to Even and Odd pages.
Are there other such scenarios too, where you need more support. It would be helpful if you can mention other such scenarios.
Thanks

An error occurred while saving the comment Heidi Rosendall commentedUpvote please. I switch between different "Type" and "View" tools all the time and it is a pain to click and hold each time. I'd like to customize the tool bar so that the tools I use are always viewable
I need to export multiple InDesign Documents (collected in a book panel) to a single booklet PDF. This is really important please.
