Export PDF Booklet
Instead of having to do "File>Print Booklet" and hassling with making a post script file and making a PDF from that (which doesn't ever seem to work the right way for me) there should be an option to export a booklet PDF. So many of the printers I work with request a booklet PDF and it would make everything so much easier if there was this option.

I'd vote for that too, although William Campbell's script, as proposed by Colin Flashman down there still does the job.

This feature would be life-changing!! It's shocking it doesn't exist yet.

How does this feature not exist yet? So many stupid useless features I'll never use, but not this obvious one yet!

I need to export multiple InDesign Documents (collected in a book panel) to a single booklet PDF. This is really important please.

I want this feature so much postscript does not work anymore for me as landscape spreads now bleed off the side of a portrait page. What's the point of coming with new features but we don't have basic features like this.

This has been a request for years and it is ludicrous this is not a feature. We live in a PDF workflow world.

I would find this really useful too! I'm struggling to get the post script to PDF to work

I really need this feature as I am trying to create my digital portfolio which is obviously in landscape mode and needs to be finalised as a digital pdf booklet. I have no idea how I will be able to save it that way and would highly appreciate this feature to be added ASAP.

yes, its very much needed, as upgrading my self from the earlier version of indesign should be more useful and efficient, pls consider this request as soon as possible. would love to see in the next upcoming update.
and pls add this feature in BOOK also, like - export book to PDF Booklet. badly needed to finalize and time saver also -

I'd love this feature too.
A client regularly wanted this so that they could internally print a small booklet. Whilst exporting to a post script file and converting did work it was a faff.
Sadly, I can't get this to work anymore. For some reason the pdf created using Distiller rotates the pages, so landscape spreads now bleed off the side of a portrait page.
I don't have a printer on my network to try and adjust a page orientation so I'm stuck there. The only work around was to manually do this.
All in all, just being able to save to a pdf would be a real life saver.

The PS file to PDF doesn't work for me either. Using ID 2020 on a brand new Mac. This feature is desperately needed. It's the only reason I use ID.

I'd really love this feature! I want to make my pdf booklet downloadable so anyone can print and assemble it. Workarounds are very clunky!

WindowsだとプリンタとしてAdobePDFが選べ、簡単に書き出せます。
Macだとpost script fileを経由しなければならず、バカバカしい。
Mac版を愛しているので、早く改善して欲しい。 -

THIS!
In the meantime, there is a workaround script from Mars Premedia that might help: PDF Place and export: https://www.marspremedia.com/software/indesign/ -

Agreed! I have to manually impose 30-40 page documents. Saving imposed to hires pdf would be sooo helpful.

Even when it works correctly creating pdf from pst generate strange lines and cut the picture into joint squares like a mosaic. Please I have been waiting for this feature for the past 5 years.
